BFF Open House Link Party

The Answer Is Chocolate

Happy Friday and April Eve all? Anyone planning any epic April Fool's Day pranks for tomorrow? I must confess, I'm not so into it. Like pranks me enough!  Thanks for all of the fun ideas from last week's party. Here are a few  that caught my eye:

I have been wanting to try some Sharpie dishware / glassware projects. I have a few pinned and this one from Reviews Chews and How Tos is getting added for sure!

Industrial style is so on trend but it can get pricey. The always creative Mich in LA has a high impact low cost project in this fun lamp makeover.

Spring is always a great time to try some new and fun accessories. Rena from Jewelry Making Journal has several versions of this fun lariat style necklace to try.

And I am just going to let this week's chocolate feature speak for itself. From Sweet Meets Bake Shop

Onto this week's party!

BFF Open House Link Party

The Answer Is Chocolate

Happy Friday Eve all !  Time to link up, visit, and ooh and aahh over each other's creations.

If like me, you're still transitioning from holiday to Winter decor here's a fabulous idea from Much More Creative you'll want to check out. Simple, elegant and fun!

If you're done decorating, how about a new necklace for yourself? I see another trip ( and a confused store employee) to the HW store in my future with this Rustic Copper Washer Necklace from Jewelry Making Journal.

Speaking of jewelry, if you wear a lot of Silver one thing I'm sure you hate is having to polish it. Woods of Bell Trees has some great hints on storage that minimizes tarnish so you can spend less time on polishing and more time on fun stuff!

I think all of us are trying to eat better but if you're like me, it doesn't work when you feel deprived. How could you feel deprived with this single serve Peanut Butter Brownie from Sam at Pancake Warriors ( and how could you not love a blog named for Pancakes?!). Have you heard of Peanut Butter powder? I hadn't but DEFINITELY want to check it out.

The Answer Is Chocolate

Happy Friday eve all. Can you believe Thanksgiving is one week from today? I really can't. The windy weather here in the PNW is definitely reminding me that it's November.

Here are a few features from last week's party!

Let's start with this festive necklace from Rena a Jewelry Making Journal. Perfect to add to your hostess outfit, make as a gift for your hostess or for Hanukkah or Christmas.

These DIY Apple Tealight Candles would be perfect to add to a Thanksgiving table. The aptly name DIY Homegirl shows you how.

I love this paper Indian Corn project from the guys at Crafty Lumberjacks. You could do all kinds of colors or monochromatic ... so many possibilities!

Looking ahead to Christmas , here's a great idea from Heather at Woods of Bell Trees that is a gift that keeps on giving and is good for the environment. Christmas Tree in a Mug! ( HINT: place your seedling in a plastic cup then put it in the mug so the mug is safe to drink from ).

For a chocolate feature this week, I'm sharing what I'm planning on making as a neighbor gift. From Joan at Chocolate Chocolate and More , Chocolate Pumpkin Pound Cake

Now onto this week's party!

The Answer Is Chocolate

Happy Friday Eve all! How is it possible it's the last full week of September? It's officially Autumn and I can't wait to start decorating for Fall holidays!  Here are some highlights from last week's party!

Nothing says Fall to me like copper, whether it's the metal itself or the color. These fun DIY copper earrings from Jewelry Making Journal are perfect for crisp cool Fall days.

Here's a wonderful way to welcome Fall along with houseguests, new neighbors or just a fun gift for friends or family. A DIY  wood Pumpkin box from the lovely ladies at Lou Lou Girls. Wouldn't this also make a fun trick or treat box?

You have GOT to check out this painted window from Artsy VaVa! I am in swooning love with it.

And with Fall bringing an explosion of pumpkin recipes, how about these pumpkin chocolate chip cookies from One Little Project At A Time?

OK let's see what everyone's been up to this week!

BFF Open House Link Party #219

The Answer Is Chocolate

Happy Friday eve all! Another whirlwind week ( say that three times fast!). We'll get right to features from last week's party and then on to this week's!

Let's start with this truly out of the box and "over my head" idea....Using a stretchy headband to make a necklace! This has so many possibilities. llar and It's like a conecklace in one. See Jewelry Making Journal for the details where Rena shares some other options including how to wear this idea as a 1920's inspired headband!

Jenn over at One Thrifty Chick has a monthly craft club ( and you should visit just to see how much fun she makes it for her guests) and in June she focused on crates. I love things that are pretty and functional and crates are perfect! Great idea for gift presentation too.

Heather over at Woods of Bell Trees has an easy to follow tutorial on making simple but stunning earrings. With gift giving season gearing up, you could whip up several pairs for friends and family!

This week's chocolate feature is a Summer favorite w/out a campfire required. Accidental S'Mores Fudge from Laina Turner

OK now on to this week's party!

BFF Open House Link Party #207

The Answer Is Chocolate

Happy Friday Eve everyone. Can you believe tomorrow is May already? I cannot. I will get the best Mother's Day present possible...watching my "baby" graduate from college later in the month. Nothing can top  that. I am also going to have to come up with something new to call him besides College Boy. More on that later.

Let's see some features from last week's party.

This is a gorgeous card any mom would be thrilled to receive. Perfect for weddings or birthdays or multiple occasions. Visit Craft With Cartwright for the details.

Here's another card. Love the clean construction and I especially love the story that goes with how this card came to be. Visit Paper Seedlings to find out.

With Graduation season upon us check out this modern and chic alternative to a traditional class ring. Visit Jewelry Making Journal for the how to .

And this week's chocolate feature should come with a warning label.

Fudgy Caramel Brownies from The Gracious Wife. You're welcome!

Now let's see what you've been up to this week!

BFF Open House Link Party #181

The Answer Is Chocolate

Happy Friday Eve and welcome to another party at The Answer Is Chocolate. One week! One week to Trick or Treat time. Question: do you buy candy you like in case you have leftovers or do you buy candy you don't like so you won't be tempted?

More great Halloween ideas shared at last week's party. Here are some you still have time to do!

If you're looking for an alternative to traditional pumpkin colors, Laura from Pet Scribbles has you covered using metallic paints.

If you're not planning a full costume for Halloween, you can always add a piece or two of festive Halloween jewelry. Rona at Jewelry Making Journal has a fantastic roundup of pieces that can be made by people of any skill level.

Don't forget the pets for Halloween! There are so many cute pet costumes out there but I love this idea from Carrie Elle including these adorable tags you can download from her site!

Lou Lou Girls shared a mouth watering calzone recipe. Perfect Halloween night dinner which would be great paired with this fantastic Halloween dessert that "caught my eye"  from Life With the Crust Cut Off

OK now on to this week's party!

BFF Open House LInk Party #153

The Answer Is Chocolate

Happy Friday Eve all. It's been another whirlwind and not so crafty week here at The Answer Is Chocolate so I've looked forward to the party all week to live vicariously through all of your creative projects!

Here are a few highlights from last week!

While this is Easter themed, the ladies over at Something Splendid have a fun and easy table runner project that could be adapted to any theme.

Rena over at Jewelry Making Journal has another spectacular tutorial to share. With Mother's Day coming up soon, this would make a great gift and no fancy tools required! Plus I love what she named this.

It's no secret that I love making cards, but I also love puns...one could say I'm punny that way ( everybody groan now). Julia at It's Always Ruetten as a fun all occasion card to share.

Who else remembers the Oreo cookie commercial jingle "Ice cold milk and an Oreo cookie..." ?  If you do remember it, you can thank me for that ear worm that's now stuck in your head! Well Oreos could only be better stuffed in brownies am I right?  You'll want to check out Kay's recipe over at Love Food , Will Share

On to this week's party!

BFF Open House Link Party #150

The Answer Is Chocolate

Happy Friday Eve once again all. Can you believe this is the last party of March? Hope everyone's had a fun National Craft Month!

I didn't plan on this week's features being all jewelry (well not the chocolate one)  but that's how it turned out. I love that each of these projects can use found or re-purposed objects.

Definitely going to try my hand at these Safari Leather Bracelets from Rena at Jewelry Making Journal. I recently cleaned out my jewelry box and took apart some prior creations but saved the beads to re-use and have some that are perfect for this idea.

Baseball season is just around the corner and whether your an MLB , softball, or little league fan, you need to check out this idea from Terri at A Creative Princess. Home run!

With ongoing discussion about the potential retirement of the penny, here's a way to preserve them for posterity. Artsy VaVa combined a penny ( she even has a poem) and a charm to make this cute necklace for St. Patrick's Day. It could be easily adapted to many occasions.

Making macarons ( different from macaroons) has been on my to do list. For this week's chocolate feature I am drooling over this recipe for Mocha Macarons from Aimee at Twigg Studios. Everything she makes is gorgeous!
