BFF Open House #193

The Answer Is Chocolate

Happy Friday Eve and Happy Birthday to College Boy! We are the ones who got the best present ever when he was born. I have not done a whole lot in the way of creative things this week ( OK I've done zip, nada, zilch!) so was excited to see what you all had been up to. Here are a few highlights:

Black and white and glitter? Yes Please! Love this Valentine's canvas from Her Organized Chaos. Sorry Mr. Chocolate ...like the Terminator, the glitter "will be back".

This fabric flower lampshade would look great alongside that Valentine canvas or on its own. Visit The Heathered Nest for the how-to.

Maybe you got some new baking pans for Christmas? Don't throw out the old ones ( or hit up a thrift store for some inexpensive ones). See what Pet Scribbles did with an old cookie sheet!

This week's chocolate feature is from Gator Mommy: Snickers Brownies. Snickers are yummy. Brownies are yummy. Snicker Brownies? 'nuff said.

Time to see what you've been up to this week!

BFF Open House Link Party #181

The Answer Is Chocolate

Happy Friday Eve and welcome to another party at The Answer Is Chocolate. One week! One week to Trick or Treat time. Question: do you buy candy you like in case you have leftovers or do you buy candy you don't like so you won't be tempted?

More great Halloween ideas shared at last week's party. Here are some you still have time to do!

If you're looking for an alternative to traditional pumpkin colors, Laura from Pet Scribbles has you covered using metallic paints.

If you're not planning a full costume for Halloween, you can always add a piece or two of festive Halloween jewelry. Rona at Jewelry Making Journal has a fantastic roundup of pieces that can be made by people of any skill level.

Don't forget the pets for Halloween! There are so many cute pet costumes out there but I love this idea from Carrie Elle including these adorable tags you can download from her site!

Lou Lou Girls shared a mouth watering calzone recipe. Perfect Halloween night dinner which would be great paired with this fantastic Halloween dessert that "caught my eye"  from Life With the Crust Cut Off

OK now on to this week's party!

BFF Open House Link Party #151

The Answer Is Chocolate

Friday Eve...best day of the week! Hope none of you endured any awful April Fool's day pranks. Not a fan of that day.

Here are some inspiring ( inspire Spring?) ideas from last week's party:

My readers know I love making cards. This one from It's Always Ruetten is a must make idea. Perfect for so many occasions.

Spring and birds go together don't they? I really like this layered stencil bird project from Laura at Pet Scribbles

Doreen over at Altered Artworks took her love of altering things to a bigger level. Ab fab makeover of this flea market found metal file cabinet to some new Industrial Chic storage for her workroom.

I couldn't believe that this gorgeous cake was Diane's first attempt at cake decorating. Visit An Extraordinary Day for the details. I can assure you , my first attempt looked nothing like this. I'm not even sure it looked like cake! Easter, Mother's Day, showers ...

Finally this week's chocolate feature. Simple, classic, delicious and never tire of this combination. Chocolate Peanut Butter Bars from The Pin Junkie
