Hi all! I hope your week has been less chaotic ( MUCH less chaotic) than mine. It's been one of "those" weeks. Fortunately family is all good which is the most important thing and it's just work and this too shall pass ( if I say that enough it'll happen right?!)
So straight party ; no feature chasers.

Happy New Year and welcome to the first party of the year. I'm still working out my blog goals for 2016 but keeping this party going is still among them. We'll start with just the party today and resume features next week!

Crunch time people! One week until Halloween! Did I scare you :)
Here are some features from last week's party...still time!
Adults love Halloween too. Sometimes I think more than the kids do. One Little Project has an AMAZING collection of party ideas for grownups!
Want a more sophisticated pumpkin look for a thrifty price ( I'm NOT looking at you Pottery Barn)? How about combining metallic paint and chalkboard like Engineer Mommy did to transform a Dollar Store pumpkin?
Transform plain muslin bags into fun ( or personalized) treat bags. Loving these from Much More Creative. She made her own but you can pick up plain muslin or canvas bags from lots of places. These have so many possibilities!
This week's chocolate feature is actually not from the party but one I want to try that I found at Kraft. How about a sludgy chocolate martini? The glasses are rimmed with crushed Oreos! Yum.
Now on to this week's party!

Welcome to another party here at The Answer Is Chocolate. Happy Father's Day weekend and I hope everyone celebrating has a wonderful weekend.
Here are some features from last week's party I think you'll enjoy!
Check out this idea from Much More Creative...both the finished project and the technique are wonderful! The idea is perfect for Father's Day and the technique used to create it is limitless in possibilities.
I do not have a green thumb ( Martha and I part ways in the garden) but succulents seem like something even I might not kill. This centerpiece from Upstate Ramblings is perfect for a Summer table.
Mich in LA is a creative genius and upcycler. Not only does she use mystery findings in her gorgeous jewelry creations ( and then makes you guess what they are and they're NEVER what you think) but she's figure out a way to upcycle ..... into jewelry holders. Oh you thought I was going to tell you?
Having just eaten my way through I mean visited Disneyland, I somehow missed dining at The Big Thunder Mountain Ranch Barbecue where they serve this take on S'Mores. Want. Now. Get the inside scoop from The Disney Chef.
OK now onto this week's party!

T-Day minus exactly two weeks people! TWO WEEKS. And then you know what happens right? Full speed til Hanukkah and Christmas. And not judging anyone because I'm pinning tons of Christmas ideas but I am a stickler about no Christmas decorations until after Thanksgiving.
Lots of great ideas at last week's party. Here are just a few!
Heather from Woods of Bell Trees some great ideas on transitional decorating perfect for this time of year between holidays. Love the pumpkins and pinecones that work thru Thanksgiving and then the other pieces that go into Christmas.
The Gracious Wife has a lovely roundup of Thanksgiving table decor and centerpieces.
I am in serious love with these pinecone cookies from Ooh La Lovely.
Make a platter of pinecone cookies and these adorable acorn cookies from momdotcom using mini Nutter Butters and Hersheys kisses. Perfect for your Thanksgiving dessert table.
Now onto this week's party!

Happy Friday Eve and welcome to another party at The Answer Is Chocolate. One week! One week to Trick or Treat time. Question: do you buy candy you like in case you have leftovers or do you buy candy you don't like so you won't be tempted?
More great Halloween ideas shared at last week's party. Here are some you still have time to do!
If you're looking for an alternative to traditional pumpkin colors, Laura from Pet Scribbles has you covered using metallic paints.
If you're not planning a full costume for Halloween, you can always add a piece or two of festive Halloween jewelry. Rona at Jewelry Making Journal has a fantastic roundup of pieces that can be made by people of any skill level.
Don't forget the pets for Halloween! There are so many cute pet costumes out there but I love this idea from Carrie Elle including these adorable tags you can download from her site!
Lou Lou Girls shared a mouth watering calzone recipe. Perfect Halloween night dinner which would be great paired with this fantastic Halloween dessert that "caught my eye" from Life With the Crust Cut Off:

Welcome back to another party here at The Answer Is Chocolate! TWO WEEKS! Halloween is two weeks from tomorrow people! Whether you're already set or just getting started, there's still time to whip up some things. Here are a few ideas.
Rachel from Holy Craft has devoted an entire week to Halloween projects and I love each and every one of them, a couple of which easily carry forward through Thanksgiving.
Dana over at This Silly Girls Life shared some fantastic Halloween makeup ideas.
I love the simplicity but high impact of these scrap wood ghosts from The Pin Junkie.
This week's chocolate feature is another that would be great for a Halloween dessert table. Mini Oreo Cheesecake from TitiCrafty:

Friday eve again already! Hope everyone had fun celebrating the dads in your lives and has had a good week.
Lots of great ideas at last week's party and maybe because I have some bare walls, but several wall art projects caught my eye.
I love the simplicity and boldness of this piece ( pieces?) by Julia from Always Ruetten . Inexpensive, easy, high impact. What's not to love?
Here's another on trend idea. Pallet art and a big ampersand. Not to mention the quote is timeless. See the details at This Silly Girl's Life.
Mirror mirror on the wall, from the Dollar Store came them all ( groan lol). But seriously, see what you can do with a few mirrors from the Dollar Store over at Mondo Mom.
This week's chocolate feature brings the outside in. See a new twist on everyone's favorite campfire dessert with these S'mores inspired brownies from Life With the Crust Off:
Now, let's see what you've been up to this week!

In case you need some last minute inspiration , here are some Father's Day features that might come in handy ( or can always be pinned for when you need a guy idea throughout the year).
My readers know I love to make cards. These, from the guys at Crafty Lumberjacks are just too perfect for Dad's day!
If you can't find something at these next two roundup features, I'm not sure there's a gift out there for you!
This one from Crafty Journal (includes printables, things kids can make etc.) or
this one from Lamberts Lately should have you covered!
For the Dad with a sweet tooth this week's chocolate feature should satisfy:
Rocky Road doughnuts from Confectionalism !
OK now on to this week's party!

Happy Friday eve everyone! This week's been slightly more sane and hope it was a good one for all of you too. Can you believe Father's Day is almost here? Time to celebrate the dads in our lives and here are some great projects that were linked up last week to give you some inspiration.
Anchors and nautical themes are trending right now and Virginia from FynesDesigns has a great project that can either be framed or used for a card.
The CSI Project shared another easy idea for Father's Day using puzzle and scrabble pieces.
Fonda, over at Southern Scraps has a roundup of 7 DIY Father's Day ideas that are better than a tie. Included are these comic coaster which I think I may have to make for College Boy instead of Mr. Chocolate!
This week's chocolate feature will have you licking the screen.
Wouldn't this Nutella Parfait from This Silly Girl's Life be the perfect dessert for a Father's Day Dinner?! YUM.
Now let's see what you've been up to this week!

Hello everyone and Happy Memorial Day weekend . Our weather is not supposed to be so great so maybe that means some extra time for creating.
Here are a few highlights from last week's party before we move on to this week's
If you've got extra newspaper laying around , here's a wonderful recycling project I doubt anyone would guess started out from newspaper. Visit Wesens Art for the details
Pillows are one of the easiest way to change the look of a room . Even if you don't sew you can update the look of plain pillows with stencils and fabric paint like this idea shared at Bliss Bloom Blog.
