BFF Open House Link Party #183

The Answer Is Chocolate

Happy Friday Eve once again! Can you believe Halloween was already a week ago? I can't. Before you know it Thanksgiving will be here. Time is not slowing down.

Here are some ideas from last week's party perfect for entertaining, decorating and gift giving.

Do you love strolling through Restoration Hardware or flipping through their catalog? Do you find yourself oohing and ahhhing and saying "no way" at the prices? Rachel from Holy Craft did and knocked off a $550 piece from RH for next to nothing.

Seeing "caramel apple" and "nachos" in the same sentence is not something I would expect to see. But Bonnie from The Pin Junkie managed to combine them into this dessert that is a must try! Plus there is just no easy way to eat a whole caramel apple is there?

Teri from A Creative Princess has a simple but perfect idea for fall decorating using clay pots. You could do smaller versions for a centerpiece or make a few of these as gifts.

I'm going to let Sharon from Her Organized Chaos explain this week's chocolate feature in her own words: Must I really explain this cheesecake? You can just imagine the taste with the name.Oh Sharon, yes I can...yes I can!

Now on to this week's party!

BFF Open House Link Party #180

The Answer Is Chocolate

Welcome back to another party here at The Answer Is Chocolate! TWO WEEKS! Halloween is two weeks from tomorrow people! Whether you're already set or just getting started, there's still time to whip up some things. Here are a few ideas.

Rachel from Holy Craft has devoted an entire week to Halloween projects and I love each and every one of them, a couple of which easily carry forward through Thanksgiving.

Dana over at This Silly Girls Life shared some fantastic Halloween makeup ideas.

I love the simplicity but high impact of these scrap wood ghosts from The Pin Junkie.

This week's chocolate feature is another that would be great for a Halloween dessert table. Mini Oreo Cheesecake from TitiCrafty:

BFF Open House Link Party #148

The Answer Is Chocolate

Happy Friday Eve all. Hope everyone's had a good week. Excited to have College Boy home for Spring Break starting on Sunday.

I've been doing a lot of Spring cleaning lately. Sorting through things I've held on to and now ask myself why, re-purposing others ( OK saving stuff to re-purpose) filling up the Goodwill donation bin etc. So this week's features include some reduce re-use recyle ideas.

I love my reusable grocery bags . It took me a few trips to remember to put them back in the car for next time but it quickly became a habit.  Now I was lazy and bought them at the store, but if I need more, I'm going to remember this  DIY tutorial from Rachel at Holy Craft . She also shows how to use the same pattern as a gift bag .

I'm old enough to remember using the phonebook for its intended purpose and young enough to wonder why the heck we keep getting them. I may just hang on to a couple to try some of these ideas that Caroline and Larissa from Creative Party Themes  rounded up.

I've wanted to try some pallet projects but haven't wanted to commit to salvaging a full pallet. Steph from The Silly Pearl has a great faux pallet idea . Love her St. Patrick's themed sign.

This week's chocolate feature is from Allison at The Pinterest Kitchen. I am now craving these Chocolate Iced Butter Cookies.  Pretty sure you are too!

Now on to this week's fun!

BFF Open House Link Party #136 "We're In Crunch Mode People!"

The Answer Is Chocolate

OK people. It's crunch time! Less than a week to go before Christmas. More exciting here at the Chocolate house is: THREE DAYS UNTIL COLLEGE BOY COMES HOME!!!!! Not that I'm at all excited.

Let's take a look at some of the fantastic ideas shared last week and then see what you busy elves have been up to this week.

I have so much fun walking through Dollar Tree and seeing what I can come up with from what I find. So does Shellie from Saving With Shellie who made this glam gold wreath without having to break the bank.

Shellie's wreath would look great next to this genius idea from Rachel at Holy Craft. Rachel used up some of her vinyl scraps to make this beautiful gold dot tree using an old window . I can easily see a big heart for Valentine's Day using this technique.

Wesens Art shared these adorable Wineglass Lampshades. Don't you love the silhouette of the reindeer from the tealight? Again, infinite possibilities for any occasion.

Oh dear. Bad enough that Hershey's has come out with a chocolate spread but Karyn from Pint Sized Baker has gone and gotten her hands on it. That can only mean more temptation like these mini no-bake cheesecakes. Trouble!

On to this week's party!

BFF Open House Link Party #51: Wrap Up and Features

Thanks again for another fun party. I hope you all enjoyed meeting Karyn from Pint Sized Baker and her wonderful treats.

Here are a few things that caught my eye, all with what I’d call a modern and retro feel.

First up, Bethany from Pitter and Glink shared her new craft room lamp transformation:

Thrift store lamp meets chicken wire! Gorgeousness ensues.

Bev, from Flamingo Toes, shared another of her amazing jewelry creations:

I love the femininity of the pearls with the boldness of the chain. And the blue pearls with the silver chain is such  a stylish color combination.

If you are planning a trip to a Disney park and want to go with a shirt way cooler than any you’ll find there, check out this idea from Rachel over at Holy Craft:

Seriously. She made this! Rachel used her Silhouette and a retro Disneyland poster image. So cool.

Finally, Back for Seconds shared a modern interpretation of a classic. I mean Oreos are already pretty perfect but check these out:

Two words. Peanut. Butter.

Thanks everyone for linking up. Make it a creative week!
