BFF Open House Link Party

TGIAF or Thank Goodness It's Almost Friday! Month end is always chaotic work-wise and this week has been NO exception. This party gives me something to look forward to during those weeks. Let's see some ideas from last week's party, and a big chocolate-y WELCOME to some new party guests.

To regulars and newcomers alike, thank you for making this one of your party stops!

There's something about maps that add to any decor. Whether you have vintage maps, photocopied maps, or map themed scrapbook paper these decoupaged map candles from The Navage Patch are so cool. How fun would it be to do these w/ maps from a special trip? Best part is they're LED candles so you'll never burn your maps.

Do you doodle or Zentangle? Who says it's only for paper. Love this doodled terra cotta pot from Shine Crafts. Fun to do yourself or would make a fun craft to do with your kids.

Boho style jewelry is so popular right now and this necklace from Woods of Bell Trees is no exception (  I also really really want her mannequin!). Tres chic.

And for this week's chocolate feature? Triple Chocolate Chunk Cookies via Lollyjane from My Name Is Snickerdoodle. Let's just say it's a really good thing a plate of these are not in front of me right now.

Now on to this week's party!

BFF Open House Link Party

Happy Friday eve all! Can you believe it's already the last week of February? The good news is that means Spring is on the way. What Spring things have you been working on? I haven't even started!

Let's take a look at some of  the great ideas shared at last week's party.

Kileen from Raven Would shared not only a great Goodwill find but what she did with it to make an awesome Spring centerpiece.  See that cute bunny? She's also got a tutorial on that !

Even though it's technically a few days before Spring officially begins, I always think of St. Patrick's Day as the first Spring holiday. My Busy Beehives has a great printable to add to your decor.

Despite what Mr. Chocolate thinks, I do not in fact have 99 lipsticks. But, who can't use a cute cosmetics bag? Maggie Lois shared this one that I love!

Finally if Spring is not quite around the corner in your neck of the woods but you want to bring some in, Heather from Woods of Bell Trees has a gorgeous transitional centerpiece .

Now, on to this week's party!

BFF Open House Link Party

Happy Friday Eve all! I hope the week has been good to you and that you've stayed warm! We were spared the snowstorm visited upon our PNW neighbors to the south in Oregon and I'm hoping it stays that way!

Grap a cup of your favorite whatever and let's look at some great ideas shared at last week's party.

First up, a huge CONGRATS to Andrew and Dennis , the creators of Crafty Lumberjacks on not only starting their new You Tube Channel but on also joining HGTV's Handmade Channel!! Check out this genius idea they shared for their first feature:

These fabulous tags from Much More Creative couldn't be more timely could they?

I've yet to try candle making but this idea from Woods of Bell Trees is definitely one to try! Can you ever have too many candles? (Heather, I couldn't figure out where to leave you a comment)

Finally this printable from Lolly Jane is always a good reminder. A quote I've loved since "Dead Poets Society".

Now, let's see what you've been up to this week! Thanks so much for stopping by.

OK let the countdown officially begin. Twenty-four days until Christmas and twenty-three days until the first day of Hanukkah! Rev your engines. It's crunch time people!

Let's start with a tour shall we? Now we know why Heather from Woods of Bell Trees always impresses with elegant projects. Look at her creative space all decorated for Christmas! Gorgeous! My office decorations consist of leftover supplies on the floor lol.

Love this decorating idea from My Busy Beehives. A Jingle Bell Monogram!

Also loved these "Ho Ho Ho" Vinyl Lettered Pots from White House Crafts. Simple, clean, fresh!

I've always wanted to make a Yule Log and every year I say I'm going to try and every year.... Well this may finally be that year with this idea from 3Winks Design! How about a platter of these? Genius idea.

Now, on to this week's party:

BFF Open House Link Party

Happy Friday Eve all. Can you believe this time next week those of us in the US will be stuffing our faces ( no pun intended) or passed out in a food coma? I'm not sure how Thanksgiving is only a week away but it is.

Here are some ideas from last week's party that you can still do in time for the big day.

Love this Farmhouse Center Piece from Woods of Bell Trees. Isn't it gorgeous?

Whether you're hostessing or going as a guest, these fun Wood Earrings from Sugar and Succulents are a great wardrobe addition.

If like me, you buy fresh herbs but don't use them all before they go bad, this idea from The Crafty Lumberjacks is perfect. Herb smudge sticks.

Continuing on my quest to bring more chocolate to Thanksgiving, this is another find from Pinterest that I'm looking at adding to my desserts. Fudgy Chocolate Pecan Pie from Real House Moms. YUM!

Now on to this week's party!

BFF Open House Link Party

Happy November everyone! Hope you had a fun and uneventful Halloween. Now that it's November time will really fly by for the rest of the year. Let's take a look at some of the great ideas shared at last week's party.

Halloween may be over but you can still pin this idea for next year. Love this chalkboard  sign from Much More Creative

I have morphed into this person who can rarely wear a coat anymore, even in the Pacific Northwest! I get too hot inside but still need something for outside. So wraps and ponchos are perfect and Woods of Bell Trees has a great project to convert a shawl into a poncho!

Printables are such a fun and easy way to add some seasonal decor and the ladies at Lolly Jane have a really cute one they're sharing.

We are in prime baking season ( OK when isn't it time to bake?) so these Nutella Chip Cookie Sandwiches are a must add to Fall baking. From Sweet Meets Bake Shop

OK on to this week's party!

Happy first day of Fall! My favorite time of the year ( Pumpkin Spice madness aside...yep I'm a hater lol). Let's see some Fall ideas from last week's party!

I love this idea from Olives and Okra. It's a Kitchen Witch apron. Best part is it's made from a panel so it's almost all done for you! How fun would this be for Halloween entertaining?

I've seen a couple ideas combining pumpkins and succulents. What a great way to decorate from now through Thanksgiving? Check out this one from Sugar and Succulents using a faux pumpkin.

Perfect for hostess or neighbor gifts or for yourself, Woods of Bell Trees has a great tutorial on DIY Foaming hand soap. This time of year with germs aplenty, handwashing is KEY!

And while I may not be a pumpkin fan, I think I could be convinced to try these Chocolate Pumpkin Cupcakes with Nutella Buttercream Frosting shared by Amy aka My Name is Snickerdoodle over at Lolly Jane

Now, onto this week's party!

The Answer Is Chocolate

Happy September! I can't believe I just typed that. It feels like once July started time just sped up. Here are some Fall inspired features from last week's party!

In my neck of the woods, back to school is still after Labor Day. Graceful Coffee has a roundup of DIY back to school ideas including this gorgeous pencil pouch.

Nothing says "Welcome Fall" like the presence of pumpkins. How cute are these Plush Pumpkin Placecards from Woods of Bell Trees? Perfect for Fall entertaining.

Maybe with back to school shopping you have some old jeans laying around. Mich in LA has a great way to re-purpose them into a gorgeous pendant!

With Fall upon us, it's time for Hot Cocoa! How about these Hot Cocoa Bombs! Aren't they cool? Check out Three Winks Design for the how to!

Now, on to this week's party!

The Answer Is Chocolate

Hi everyone and welcome to this week's party. I'm especially grateful to have a creative outlet after events like Orlando last Sunday. Sometimes for me, the only way  through sadness is to sit down and make something. I also want this to be a space where people feel free to share their creativity so thanks for being a part of it.

Here are some features from last week's party.

Lynda Creates shared this awesome DIY key and phone holder. Two things I think many of us have challenges keeping track of!

Woods of Bell Trees shared this beautiful Latte Candle. Even if you don't drink coffee, I think the smell would be fabulous.

Mich in LA shared a hanging Hamsa Hand amulet. So simple to make and so pretty!

My favorite soft serve ice cream cone is a chocolate and vanilla swirl. These swirl cupcakes from Lou Lou Girls remind me of them and look delish!

Let's see what you've been up to this week :

The Answer Is Chocolate

Happy Friday Eve all! Hope the week has been kind to you and you to it. Chugging along to the middle of May already and Summer will be here before we know it. We've already had some Summer like days up here in the PNW and I think we may be in for a hot one. We're not used to it!

Let's see some ideas from last week's party:

Loving these DIY marbled pots from A Pretty Fix. Super easy to do and the effect is wonderful.

Linda from Paper Seedlings has been working on hand lettering and shared this piece. I love the quote and the way the letters are done.  Please note: this is her original artwork and not for use as a printable!

I don't love scented / flavored lip balm (I just hate smelling and tasting it!) so this unscented DIY version from Woods of Bell Trees is perfect!

Why is it that everything tastes better in a jar? These strawberry desserts from Lou Lou Girls are no exception. With Summer and picnics and outdoor dining season, these are great to store and transport.

Now let's see what everyone's been up to this week!
