BFF Open House

Happy Friday Eve and day after Christmas all. Hope everyone celebrating Christmas had a wonderful one. It was a fun day at Casa Chocolate.

Let's see some ideas from last week's party!

I love the simplicity and impact of this red painted framed Scrabble tile word art from DIY Vibes ! Smaller frames would work well as ornaments too.

Artsy Va Va is back with this creative beadboard Christmas tree, mounted to a piece of corrugated metal. Rustic and festive!

Speaking of creative trees, check out this rake head turned Christmas tree door wreath from My Thrift Store Addiction

Finally, and this would be great for a New Year's brunch table, check out this gorgeous Braided Nutella Brioche from Treat and Trick. YUM!

Now, let's see what everyone's been up to this week!

BFF Open House

Happy Friday all and yikes , it's already the middle of August. How? I didn't set out to do a wreath feature this week but there were some great ones linked up last week so it just kind of happened!

Let's start with this one from Kippi At Home. Gorgeous: the colors, the ribbons,  and the frame works so perfectly. Stunning!

If you don't live where the leaves turn color you can always recreate that feeling with this idea from The Organized Dream. Supplies from the Dollar store!

I've seen lots of great sales at the craft stores...getting ready for Fall and Winter. Check out what My Thrift Store Addiction was able to do w/ some goodies she found on clearance!

OK let's see what you've all been up to this week!

BFF Open House

Happy Friday Eve all! The only bad thing about vacation, is getting back into the work groove after vacation so this week has both flown by and dragged at the same time if that makes any sense.

Glad to see it hasn't slowed down anyone's creativity ( well, anyone else's!). Here are some ideas from last week's party!

Who else can't walk by the Target Dollar ( or more) Spot without stopping? They knew what they were doing! So did Chas, from Chas's Crazy Creations with this tray she picked up there!

I love a good upcycle and you have to see the condition of this char My Thrift Store Addiction made over! Didn't it turn out great?!

Speaking of upcycles, I dare you to guess what these awsome Patina'd Little Vases started out as. You'll have to visit Artsy Va Va to find out but suffice it to say they're something we all likely have on hand !

Finally, look at this delicious Spinach Raspberry Salad from Fluster Buster! Yum!

OK let's see what everyone's been up to this week!

BFF Open House Link Party

Happy Friday Eve again all! Can you believe we are already past the halfway mark of the first month of a new year? Me either. As always, there were so many fun ideas shared at last week's party. Here are just a few!

I'm seeing lots of white and winter white decor like the ideas Carol from The Red Painted Cottage has in this post. I'm in love with that Pom Pom wreath.  I think there's something refreshing and clean about the white and naturals after all the colors of the holidays.

I also love this fun Winter White Felt Garland from Suzer Space

With Valentine's Day right around the corner, these little treat boxes from My Thrift Store Addiction are just the thing for small treats.

Finally, if you've got power tool skills (or know someone who does) these Wood Shim Hearts from Hazel and Gold should go on your "must make" list! Love the dimensionality and the weathered look.

OK let's see what you've all been up to this week!

BFF Open House Link Party

Happy Friday Eve all and welcome to another week's opportunity to share what creative things you've been working on. Hope you're staying warm ( or in our case, up here in the PNW, dry).  Let's see some ideas from last week's party!

The holiday decorations may all be put away but it's still nice to have a touch of Winter in our inside decor. We still have our Gingerbread Cottage up and it will remain all Winter. I love these DIY Icicle Candle Holders – Winter Luminaries With Snowy Pinecones from Sew Historically.

I also love the monochromatic simplicity of this Winter White French Farmhouse Mantel from My Thriftstore Addiction that includes more re-purposed Christmas decor.

Artsy VaVa shared this awesome cooler ( made by her friend Chuck) that she painted for him using stain. I love how the stain lets the grain of the wood shine through.

No chocolate feature this week but I am drooling over these Homemade Baked Sugar Doughnuts from Brooklyn Farm Girl. Simple perfection!

Now, let's see what everyone's been up to this week!

BFF Open House Link Party

Yikes! How is it Friday Eve again already? Excited to have my son home from Grad School for the holidays. Already baked the first two dozen of several more dozen cookies to follow.

Here are some great ideas it's not too late to whip up or pin for next year.

Love these rustic and rusty ornaments from Artsy Va Va! Great additions to your tree or to make as gifts. Would you guess they aren't metal?!

Vintage holiday decorations are so special. Whether they've been handed down from older family members or found while thrifting, I think there's something so special about preserving them. My Thrift Store Addiction has some gorgeous ideas.

Christmas cards are starting to roll in and Repurpose and Upcycle has a wonderful way to display them.

Finally, with my young man home for a couple of weeks, I see making these in my immediate future. From Craft Beering, Stout Walnut Brownies. YUM!

Now, let's see what everyone's been up to this week!

BFF Open House Link Party

Happy Friday Eve once again. Sadly once again it's a week where we're watching awful devastation from nature. To those in the path of Irma, Jose, still recovering from Harvey, dealing with fires in the West, be safe and smart! No material things ( not even craft supplies) are worth it!

Let's take a break and see what everyone's been up to as we gear up for Fall.

What better way to prepare for Fall than with a new wreath? Leslie from Playdates to Parties has got you covered with a roundup of ideas.

If you're still enjoying some outdoor weather but transitioning to Fall, check out this idea from My Thrift Store Addiction. Coffee and cupcakes? Yes please!

Fall is the start of candle season to me. Sure they are year round but those cooler and darker earlier months are perfect for a cozy glow from candlelight. Chas' Crazy Creations has a wonderful way to display a Fall Candle. The secret's in the corn!

And for this week's chocolate feature, what's better than a frosted chocolate cupcake? A frosted chocolate cupcake with a BROWNIE inside! From Sugar, Spice, and Family Life

Now on to this week's party! Thanks for being here.

BFF Open House Link Party

A great big TGI(A)F! Hope you've all had a good week. Thinking of those in the SW , especially the Phoenix area where it's been hotter than living on the sun. Stay cool and hydrated!

Here are some great ideas from last week's party !

July 4th will be her before we know it. Hill House Homestead has a fun way to celebrate and decorate and using re-cycled jeans! Cute and practical.

Since it's officially Summer now, how about a Summer party? Bird's Party has got you covered with a fun bright festive spread!

No mater if it's just the two of you or a whole crew of you, sometimes we all get stuck in a rut when it comes to things to do. I love this idea from My Thrift Store Addiction...A Summer Activities Treasure Chest! Love the outside makeover and the ideas inside!

How about these Chocolate Chip Chocolate Frosted Donuts from Brooklyn Farm Girl?! YUM!

Now , on to this week's party and THANK YOU for coming and sharing your creations here.

BFF Open House Link Party

NOTE: I goofed up somehow and did text only links. Inlinkz won't let me switch to thumbnails so will fix for next week!

Happy Friday Eve all! Usually the best day of the week. Hope everyone's had a good one. Seems like we were just here doesn't it? But you can never have too many parties ( except in real life...I am a total party pooper!).

Let's take a look at some great shares from last week's party.

If you've ever wondered what you'd do with a dress form, here's a spectacular idea. In total love with this stunning Valentine's dress form from My Thrift Store Addiction. Gorgeous!

The ingenious Mich in LA shared this lovely ring made from fleece and felt scraps! Who'dathunk of this except her? Not me!

Avacadoes aren't just for guacamole ( but oh how I love guacamole!). This time of year is hard on the skin yet so  many commercial masks still have chemicals. This one from Alba Rosa can be made from all natural ingredients you likely have in your kitchen.

With Valentine's Day rapidly approaching, time to start thinking up special treats. How about this Raspberry Cream and Brownie Trifle for Two from the ladies at Lolly Jane?

Now, let's see what you've been up to this week!

BFF Open House Link Party Happy New Year!

Happy New Year! Hope everyone had a safe and happy start to 2017. My new favorite New Year's Quote is:

"May the best of last year be the worst of this year"
Like everyone else, I'm in the process of evaluating things I want to keep, lose, or change in the New Year. I want to revitalize my blog which has been a little stale so look for some changes. If you have any suggestions please feel free to leave them in the comments!

I want to keep my little party but would definitely like it to grow so if you have friends you want to bring, please do!

Let's see some highlights from last year's last party!

I did one of those "what are the first three words you see" word puzzles and the first word I saw was "peace" so this card from Paper Seedlings definitely caught my eye! Not just because of the word but I love the white on white layering and the detail. Beautiful!

Something I'd like to do more of in 2017 is Thrifting. I love found objects and My Thrift Store Addiction has some wonderful projects and ideas to get you started or re-started!

If like me, you're still getting organized for the New Year, the gals at Lolly Jane have got you covered with 50 FREE printable 2017 calendars.

This week's chocolate feature isn't actually chocolate but it's about chocolate! Love this vintage chocolate ad shared by Vintage TLC . Great as a printable or to use in image transfer project etc.

Now onto this week's party!
