BFF Open House

Happy Friday Eve and Happy October all! I'm still learning the "seasons" here in the desert and we are in what I'm calling "Fall Spring" since it's cooled down but still lovely. Popping in stores is how I'm really reminded what time of year it is.

Let's see some features from last week's party ! I love it when a plan I didn't know I had comes together. The features this week are a Dollar Tree bonanza!

Love this gorgeous pumpkin makeover of a Dollar Tree pumpkin by Kippi At Home. So elegant and can stay up all Fall.

This time of year starts my busiest card making season and like Linda from Paper Seedlings , I am always on the lookout for interesting materials to use on my cards. I literally laughed out loud when I saw this because I bought the same self adhesive rhinestone sheet (ok sheets) she used on her card, also from Dollar Tree!

PINK VELVET pumpkins! Perfect in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness month ( ladies, "check the girls"). Perfect for a new twist on Fall. Perfect because they're no sew. Lisa from Fresh Vintage by Lisa S will show you how to use a Dollar Tree foam pumpkin to make!

Now let's see what all you creative people have been up to this week!

Happy Friday Eve all! Back after a wonderful Anniversary-Birthday celebration last week at Disneyland. Big kids that we are we had a BLAST and it's so special this time of year with both Disneyland and California Adventure completely decorated for Halloween. Will put a post up w/ pics once I've had a chance to go through them all!

Let's take a look at some great ideas shared at last week's party.

After last week, I'm in full on Halloween mode and LOVE this mirror from Unique Creations by Anita. She really thought outside the box on this one and love the metallic paint on the hands, spiders, and frame.

Continuing with Halloween, no season is complete without a trip to the Dollar Store and Olivia from Olivia Ohern Graphic Design came up with a very cool project using supplies from guess where?

Black and white are my signature colors so this wreath from Kippi At Home  deinitely caught my eye. Is it bad when you already own some of that ribbon?!

Finally, "get in my belly" was my immediate reaction to these brownies from Oh Mrs. Tucker. I promise I'm not sitting here drooling all over my keyboard. Maybe.

OK let's see what everyone's been up to this week!

BFF Open House

Happy Friday Eve once again. The good news is, seems like the weeks fly by. The bad news is, so do the weekends but at least this one's a long one. Hoping everyone has a great one and those of you sending kids back to school ( or have already) enjoy some quiet time.

It's almost Fall ( hard to tell here in the desert where it's still triple digits). Let's take a look at some Fall inspiration from last week's party!

How cute is this Embroidery Hoop Fall Wreath from Kippi At Home?! And look at the coordinating fabric pumpkins. So cute. She even has the "Welcome" SVG file for you.

How cute are these DIY Color Blocked Tables?! Too cute that's how cute. From Abbotts At Home

If, like me,  you don't have a lot of Fall leaves, make some from paper! These colorful Accordion Leaves from Whitehouse Crafts look like a lot of fun to make and use everywhere!

OK let's see what everyone's been up to this week! Have a wonderful weekend all .

Happy Friday Eve all. Yikes, August is speeding by, and I've seen more and more Fall, Halloween, and Christmas goodies in the stores. Not ready!

Let's see some ideas from last week's party.

Chalkboard signs remain so popular and I love them. Chas's Crazy Creations has a super easy one that looks like it was MUCH harder!. So cute.

I love the style of designed Rae Dunn. Being the makers we are though, more often than not, we're thinking of how we can get a look we love for less. It's a struggle! These "Rae Dunn" inspired signs from Kippi At Home tho...a MUST make!

I was hooked on "Harry Potter" from the first word I read to my son when he was little. Fast forward and I remain a huge "Potterhead" so these Pillow Boxes from DIY Party Mom based on the Sorting Hat are just so cute. She has more Potter inspired ideas as well!

Finally, if you haven't tried paint pouring yet , Abbotts At Home has a fantastic tutorial, including video, to get you started.

Now, let's see what everyone's been up to this week!

Happy Friday all and yikes , it's already the middle of August. How? I didn't set out to do a wreath feature this week but there were some great ones linked up last week so it just kind of happened!

Let's start with this one from Kippi At Home. Gorgeous: the colors, the ribbons,  and the frame works so perfectly. Stunning!

If you don't live where the leaves turn color you can always recreate that feeling with this idea from The Organized Dream. Supplies from the Dollar store!

I've seen lots of great sales at the craft stores...getting ready for Fall and Winter. Check out what My Thrift Store Addiction was able to do w/ some goodies she found on clearance!

BFF Open House Link Party

Happy Friday Eve all. Another week has flown by but I got the best Christmas in July present because "PhD Man" aka my son, is home for a visit. To say we're elated is an understatement of understatements since he's so busy and we only get to see him a couple of times a year.

Let's see some ideas from last week's party!

A concrete project is still on my list for when it cools down a bit here in the desert. Check out some wonderful ideas from Kippi At Home

With all of the Acrylic Paint Pour Canvases I've done and more I plan to do, this DIY Frame idea from Abbotts At Home will come in handy.

Mermaids and rock painting remain ever popular, so why not combine the two? Fun project to do w/ the kiddos or a craft night with friends. From Serenity You

Finally, with all the fancy desserts out there and there are many and I love them, sometimes it's nice to have something classic and simple like a Vanilla Cake. These in jars from Treat N Trick  are so much fun!

OK let's see what everyone's been up to this week!

Happy Fourth everyone. I'm putting up the party early since it's a holiday. Hope everyone has a safe, fun day! Here are some Fourth themed features from last week's party.

Kippi At Home has some great Fourth inspired desserts that you still have time to whip up!

Likewise, Jodie Fitz shared these delicious looking Blackberry and Raspberry Freeze pops that are perfect all Summer long!

If you're a bit more ambitious, check out this GORGEOUS cake from Bird's Party!

BFF Open House Link Party

Happy Friday Eve all! Hope everyone's had a great week. Been fighting off something so have not exactly been too creative, not to mention a new puppy who would gladly eat all my supplies if given the chance. Hope everyone who's celebrating Father's Day this weekend has a wonderful one.

Let's take a look at some ideas shared at last week's party!

Llamas are everywhere right now and I absolutely LOVE this pillow shared by Kippi At Home. We've had to hide most of the throw pillows from the pup so I'm pinning this idea for later!

How cute (and practical) is this Potted Succulent Coffee Scrub from Soap Deli News? These would make fun gifts!

I bet any Dad would be thrilled to have this Strawberry Chocolate Cheesecake shared by Lou Lou Girls

BFF Open House

Hi all and how is it the end of May already?! This is about the time of year I start thinking "oh I have plenty of time to work on holiday gifts" and time then goes at warp speed. Hope everyone's had a good week!

Let's see some ideas from last week's party. Once again, I thank you all for choosing to share your creations here each week!

As a maker, I go through different phases of obsession w/ different materials. Right now, I've rediscovered my love of fibers and absolutely love this Table Runner from Yarn Scissors Silk. It's a great way to use up all those bits you just can't bring yourself to part with!

Love this framed DIY Moroccan Tile inspired Wall Art from Kippi At Home. These are just my colors but think of all the possibilities! There may even be a free SVG file involved but you'll just have to go see.

There are card tables and then there are Card Tables. How much fun is this one? From Whispers of the Heart. The Queen of Hearts would be very jealous!

Finally, look at these bite size bits of perfection in these Reeses Chocolate Chip Cookie Cups from Family Cookie Recipes

BFF Open House Link Party

Happy May all. BTW how did it get to be MAY already?!  I took a much needed little Spring Break last week so didn't do any features but let's take a look at some of the fun ideas that were shared.

I have been in love with Hairpin Leg projects for a while now. I am seriously in love with these DIY Wood Slice Hairpin Leg tables from Kippi At Home

Perfect transition to this next project from Busy Lifestyle Gal, these beautiful Succulent Planters, upcycled from yogurt containers! Real talk: I have bought this yogurt specifically for the glass container but I'm boring and use them to hold my pens. Think I need to get some more!

I keep passing these skeins of GIANT yarn at the store and haven't known what to do w/ them. Now I do. I love these pillows by Yarn Scissors Silk which uses one of the basic knitting stitches I know how to do!

Finally, when I'm not eating chocolate, I'm drinking coffee. OK I combine them and drink iced mochas but these Coffee Biscuits from Treat and Trick look like the perfect pairing with any coffee drink or just on their own!

Now, let's see what you've all been up to this week!
