BFF Open House

Happy Friday and December Eve Creative Peeps! I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving. Ours was small...me, Mr. Chocolate, and the Mumster but it was wonderful. And now, the mad rush begins or accelerates, depending on where you are in the process. I'm at the begin part. The accelerate part begins this weekend!

I'm having fun with some things I pinned last year after I'd already decorated. I shared my take on Paper Bag Snowflakes and will be making more as soon as I pick up some more glue sticks! I also have a fun Dollar Tree project I'll share early next week.

I'd say you're all in the accelerate phase for sure given how many awesome Christmas projects you linked up. I hope you're visiting each other. So much creativity! Here are a few that caught my eye.

Crazy Little Lovebirds shared this pretty Dollar Tree Sled idea. Love the whole vignette.

Ann's Entitled Life shared this pretty and Easy to Make Rustic Centerpiece. Whip up a few!

Penny's Treasures transformed a corner of her kitchen into a Gingerbread Wonderland. So much to see!

Finally, Organized Island shared this Rumchata Hot Chocolate...a perfect way to cap off a busy day of Elfing!

Thanks to all who linked up and can't wait to see what you've been up to this week!

Happy Friday Eve once again Creative Peeps! Hope you're easing into the New Year OK. The images out of California with the flooding are overwhelming and I hope any of you there are safe and dry.

I've squeezed in a few cards I haven't bothered to post but that's as creative as I've been so far in the New Year. We keep our decorations up until after Twelfth Night so this week was focused on taking down and putting away and now my house feels so naked! Which works with an unintentional theme for this week's features.

Penny's Treasures shared her very cute After Christmas Decor. I'm inspired to come up with a plan for next year to tackle the starkness that follows taking down the decorations. Love this!

Thrifting Wonderland reminded us that thrift stores also hold post-holiday sales in January and what a wonderful time it is to score some finds to add to our collections.

My Thrift Store Addiction also shared some inspirational post-holiday finds that are perfect for Winter transition.

Finally, it's still very much hot chocolate season but what about Hot Chocolate Pancakes? Thank Lou Lou Girls for these!

Thanks to everyone who linked up last week and can't wait to see what you've been up to in the New Year!

BFF Open House

Yikes! Eeek! We're halfway through October already. For me, the time just speeds up now. I've been busy attending some craft summits and signing up for more and realize I should be sharing those! The next one I'll be on the lookout to sign up for will be done by Craft With Sarah who is still doing a daily Halloween SVG freebie for Halloween projects. She just announced today that she'll have a Holiday one starting in November so if this is something you think you'd be interested in, get on her mailing list now.

Last week was another great week of inspiration with projects and recipes "to die for" mwaaahhhh.

Let's take a look at a few.

With the popularity of Disney's Hocus Pocus 2, it's been fun seeing all the creative ways people are celebrating the movie. Penny's Treasures is no exception with her Bad Apple Brewery vignette!

My French Twist shared this clean and modern take on a Fall staple, dried wheat, with these Color Wrapped Wheat stalks. I love the simplicity and modern Fall color palette.

Coffee, specifically "Iced Venti Nonfat No Whip Mochas" are my love language! If you have a coffee lover in your life, why not whip up a fun gift like these Wood Coffee Blocks from Drug Store Divas?

Finally, this Apple Pear Fall Sangria from Our Tiny Nest is a wonderfully fresh taste on a classic drink. What a great Fall dinner party drink and I think it could easily be adapted as non-alcoholic.

Thank you as always to everyone who linked up. I do look at all of them!

Now time to see what everyone's been "brewing up" this week!

BFF Open House

Happy Friday Eve all! What a difference a week makes. The Mumster's on the mend and I'm back home and hopefully get to play in my craft room a bit. Thanks for understanding last week about no features and thanks for you kind words of support. April is just moving along and it's hard to believe we're already at the halfway mark.

So let's take a look at some of the wonderful ideas shared at last week's party!

Kathleen from Our Hopeful Home shared her gorgeous Corbel Book Ends. They look like they came straight from Arhaus, Ballard Designs, or Pottery Barn!

Nothing says Spring / Summer like lemons and this bright and pretty Lemon Spring Wreath from Penny's Treasures screams it! It all began with a simple wreath from JoAnn!

I learned not long ago that I'm going to be a Fairy Grandmother! My bestie and I were pregnant at the same time, and her eldest daughter and my son were born within ten days of each other. The joke has always been that I'm her "real" mother because she and I tend to like a lot of the same things. And now she's going to be a mom and this will be my title. So these hangers from Satsuma Designs gave me some ideas and you need to checkout her entire Baby Shower post!

Finally, what's better than a Chocolate Chip Cookie? A roundup of 17 Chocolate Chip Recipes of course! From The Kitchen Is My Playground. If you can't find a favorite in here then I'm not sure what to say 😘

Thanks to everyone who shared last week and let's see what everyone's been up to this week!

Yikes! How is it the end of August already? I go from "this year is one long month" to "where did this year go" in the same breath. Spent the week organizing my craft room and even went through all of my paper scraps and "whimper" got rid of some. I am attached to every little piece and remember which card or project they're from. As Shakespeare said: "Parting is such sweet sorrow".
Took a break from Quilling ( although I did order some new quilling strips from Quilling.com and they ship FAST!) and re-purposed / stash busted a couple of things here.  OK! Let's see what everyone's been up to this week!

Mary Jo from Masterpieces of My Life shared this simple, elegant, and high impact Reindeer Moss Wreath. What a stunning piece!

Penny, from Penny's Treasures shared her GORGEOUS second gallery wall! I love how everything is tied together by color.

Living in the SW, and particularly in horse country, I see a lot of horse themed decor that can get pricey! Anita from Unique Creations by Anita has a great piece that fits right in!

Be still my chocoholic heart! Cecelia from My Thrift Store Addiction shared these Cake Mix and Candy Bar Donuts. It's not like I wanted to jump through the screen to get them or anything. Maybe. OK definitely.
Now, let's see what everyone's been up to this week!

Happy March and National Craft Month all! As we're all being vigilant about the Coronavirus, my new favorite reminder:

Now, let's take a look at some ideas from last week's party!

How cute is this Split Ball Wreath from Kippi At Home?! The wooden balls are flat on one side which makes them lay down so nicely.

I also really love this idea from DIY Vibes, using a green wreath against a natural wood piece of wall art. Really the whole mantel is lovely!

How cute is this Spring / Easter vignette from Penny's Treasures?! The carrot holders are actually repurposed chair springs! Creative!

Finally, we tend to think of this next idea as strictly Christmastime but this take on a Yule Log totally works for St. Patrick's Day. From Seasonal Holiday Recipe Exchange

You could also  put a pot of gold aka Rolos or any other gold foil wrapped candies to go with!

Time to see what everyone's been up to this week. Wash those hands!

BFF Open House

Happy Friday Eve all! Can you believe that this time next week we'll have spent the week cooking, eating, and right about now passing out in a food coma? Some of us ( not me!) may even be out shopping.

Had a WONDERFUL getaway to Disneyland last week. It is always magical but one of the items on my bucket list has been to see it decorated for the Holidays and it did not disappoint! It was like running away to the North Pole ( in 90 degree weather by the last day lol).  I'll share pics in a separate post next week,

You've all been busy busy busy so here are a few more features than usual!

If you're planning your Thanksgiving tablescape check out this colorful and beautiful Jeweled Tone one from Bird's Party

Whether you're celebrating Christmas, Hanukkah, Winter, or the "Frozen" sequel that opens on Friday, these magical snowflakes from White House Crafts would be a perfect addition to your decor! In these case they're used for a garland, but so many possibilities!

Abbotts At Home has a great roundup of 40+ Christmas Projects that you should definitely check out

Buffalo check remains popular and we saw tons of it in the Christmas decor at Disneyland. Penny's Vintage Treasures has a beautiful fireplace vignette.

Embroidery Hoop wreaths are so simple but pack such a punch. This one from DIY Vibes is no exception!
I am on record as complaining that there is not enough chocolate associated with Thanksgiving. This Chocolate Chip Pumpkin Cake from Two Chicks and a Mom takes care of that problem!

And finally, whether you're celebrating the "Frozen" sequel or just looking for a different take on hot chocolate, check out Elsa's White Hot Chocolate from Lindsay's Sweet World !

Now, let's see what you've been up to this week !
