BFF Open House

Happy Friday Eve. How is it almost the end of September already! I wish I had an answer. I know it's been "Lost Creative Summer" for me because of health challenges so I've had little choice but to watch the calendar go by. Fortunately I have been spending a little time back in my craft room. So far, just a few cards I haven't even bothered to share but working on something to share soon. Feels good to be able to play!

Since last week's party I've celebrated one more trip around the sun and after the year I've had, don't take those trips for granted. Older, possibly wiser, still young at heart and definitely refusing to act my age!

So let's take a look at some of the ideas from last week's party!

I love being part of a community where we get to see through other people's eyes how things come to life. This Repurposed Expandable Rack from Fresh Vintage by Lisa S into a shelf is one such brilliant idea!!

Kathleen from Our Hopeful Home can turn the simplest find into a perfect addition to home decor as she's done with this simple Wood Pickup Truck from The Dollar Tree!

The most beautiful creative supplies can so often be found in nature. Such is the case with this simple but elegant Twig Wreath from Priyam at Simple Joys

Can't decide between a cookie and a brownie? Why choose and instead make these Brownie Cookies shred by CJ at Morsels of Life

Thanks to all who linked up. Now let's take a look at what everyone's been up to this week!

BFF Open House

Happy Friday Eve all and I hope everyone had a safe and happy Fourth of July. It was a late night for us because the illegal fireworks people were shooting off did not agree with the dog nor she with them so it was a "howler" of a night. Given the high fire danger here in the desert that was also a concern but fortunately, all is well.

I also had a chance this week to create something for my new office and because I've had interest in the coffee filter flowers I used in this Oversized Floral Wreath, I will be doing a future tutorial on how to make them so stay tuned!

Let's take a look at some of the creative projects shared at last week's party!

Who grew up with one of these Better Homes and Gardens Cookbooks? I know they've updated but this looks so familiar and everyone I know had one of these in their family kitchen. Lisa, from Fresh Vintage by Lisa S took one and altered it, making it fun while keeping the nostalgic feel.

If you have a fireplace you don't actively use, Kathleen from Our Hopeful Home has a wonderful way to cover it using a beautiful Botanical Print.

Artsy Va Va shared yet another STUNNING piece of furniture she made over. Just GORGEOUS!!

Finally, on a hot Summer day, what's better than lemonade except this delicious looking Frosted Lemonade from the Lou Lou Girls?!

Thank you to everyone who linked up and let's take a look at what you've been up to this week!

BFF Open House

Happy Friday Eve all! What a difference a week makes. The Mumster's on the mend and I'm back home and hopefully get to play in my craft room a bit. Thanks for understanding last week about no features and thanks for you kind words of support. April is just moving along and it's hard to believe we're already at the halfway mark.

So let's take a look at some of the wonderful ideas shared at last week's party!

Kathleen from Our Hopeful Home shared her gorgeous Corbel Book Ends. They look like they came straight from Arhaus, Ballard Designs, or Pottery Barn!

Nothing says Spring / Summer like lemons and this bright and pretty Lemon Spring Wreath from Penny's Treasures screams it! It all began with a simple wreath from JoAnn!

I learned not long ago that I'm going to be a Fairy Grandmother! My bestie and I were pregnant at the same time, and her eldest daughter and my son were born within ten days of each other. The joke has always been that I'm her "real" mother because she and I tend to like a lot of the same things. And now she's going to be a mom and this will be my title. So these hangers from Satsuma Designs gave me some ideas and you need to checkout her entire Baby Shower post!

Finally, what's better than a Chocolate Chip Cookie? A roundup of 17 Chocolate Chip Recipes of course! From The Kitchen Is My Playground. If you can't find a favorite in here then I'm not sure what to say 😘

Thanks to everyone who shared last week and let's see what everyone's been up to this week!

BFF Open House

Happy almost Spring officially! I hope those of you who changed your clocks last weekend have made the adjustment. For me, I'm still getting used to the fact that Arizona doesn't but it still throws me off because now we're the same time as Pacific and 2 vs 1 hour behind Central and back to 3 hours behind Eastern. I'll be confused again in the Fall. Suffice it to say, I stay confused!

I was up to some jewelry projects this week, making some Coffee themed earrings and a bracelet inspired from the adorable GROGU character from Disney's "The Mandalorian".

Let's take a look at some Spring ideas from last week's party!

Kathleen from Our Hopeful Home created these stunning Chinoiserie Eggs. They are just absolutely perfect!

Equally beautiful is this Easter vignette from Niky at The House on Silverado. You have to see her tutorial for making the seed packets!

Amy, from Heritage Home Ec shared this beautiful Farmhouse "Wagon Wheel" clock made from...Embroidery Hoops!

Finally, Faerie Projects are so popular and you can do so many creative things with gardens or projects under glass cloches etc. I am enchanted by this magical door from Condo Blues. A world of imagination awaits behind that door!

Thank you to everyone who linked up and let's see what everyone's been up to this week !

BFF Open House Merry Christmas!

Happy Merry Christmas and Friday Eve all! Wishing the happiest of holidays to all those celebrating. It will be a different Christmas for many of us. Our first without our son since we made the collective decision to not have him travel right now. It's all good (except for the fact that his presents may not arrive on time..."out for delivery" is vague) but they'll get there. As he was growing up, I vowed not to send him off to college without cooking survival skills and he's only continued to develop them in grad school, especially during this pandemic. He will make himself a special Christmas Eve and Christmas Day meal and I can't wait to see the cookie recipes he's trying!

Putting the party up early and then spending the rest of the day doing some baking and maybe even relaxing! What's that?! Let's take a look at some ideas from last week's party!

If you're still looking for a last minute idea, printables are your friend and Kathleen from Our Hopeful Home has some cute ones.

Especially this year, it's possible celebrations are smaller and if it's just one or two of you, there's no reason not to make it special. Grab some things and make your table special. Mantel and Table has a great post!

I think it's an understatement to say that we'll be glad to say goodbye to 2020 and The Apple Street Cottage has a great way to say goodbye!

Finally, you've seen Charcuterie Boards, but how about a Dessert Board for New Year's Eve? Yes please! Check out this idea from Lindsey's Sweet World

I want to thank you all for sharing your creations here this year. You all have inspired and kept me going through this crazy year and I can't wait to see what 2021 brings!

Here's a new take on a DIY snow globe that's absolutely genius....a Dollar Store Gumball Machine! From Repurpose and Upcycle.

Finally, I love this idea for an Ugly Christmas Sweater Party from Mamas Wallet ( isn't that an accurate blog name?!)

Complete with ideas for everything from invitations, printables, games, foods, and places for guests to get their sweaters or resources to make them.

BFF Open House Link Party

Happy Friday Eve all. Hope you all have had a great week and looking forward to a festive Father's Day weekend! As always while I'm on limited craft time, I enjoy looking at your creations each week so here are a few ideas from last week's party!

Really loving this Milking Stool Makeover from The Painted Hinge ! Michelle is even sharing the printable she used for the image transfer.

I also really love this Re-Purposed Wood Garden Caddy that was shared by Lisa at Fresh Vintage By Lisa S . She got the stenciling PERFECT!

I love a good knockoff and this Tobacco Basket from Our Hopeful Home is a great version of one inspired by Ballard Designs.

Finally, with Fourth of July quickly approaching I love the festive simplicity of these Red White and Blue Cookies from Butter With a Side of Bread. Two colors of chocolate melts and the gold stars really take these store bought cookies to a new level!

OK let's see what everyone's been up to this week!
