BFF Open House

Happy Friday Eve all! Finally finished decking my halls and I don't know about you, but sitting in the dark with the Christmas trees (yes, I said trees) twinkling is my favorite. I know Buddy the Elf says smiling is his but this is mine. There's something calming and comforting to me. What is your favorite part of the season?

This week I shared another idea I saved last year...a Dollar Tree Duster Mop Wreath

You've all been busy elves and shared some inspiring ideas at last week's party so let's have a look at a few!

The Apple Street Cottage has a beautiful solution for any jewelry pieces you may have stashed in a drawer and don't know what to do with: A Unique Jewelry Tree. As the family Maker, guess who gets these and this is one I'm saving to do next year!

Crazy Little Love Birds shared this Frosted Glass Candle Display. I love how spray painting different pieces the same way unifies them.

Condo Blues shared this ingenious idea of using tomato cages to make Outdoor Gnomes! The best part? They're slipcovers that can come off, be tucked away, the cages used in the Summer, and back again for the holidays!

Finally, Rose Bakes shared yet another creative take on a charcuterie board with this Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer dessert board.

Thanks to everyone who linked up and can't wait to see what you've been up to this week! To those lighting the first candle of the Hanukkah Menorah tonight, I wish you Peace, Love, Latkes!

BFF Open House Happy Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving and Friday Eve all! Getting this party started early before we all fall into our food comas. Wishing all of my American Creative Peeps a Happy Thanksgiving. Despite all that is terrifying in the world, I'm thankful to have a day to celebrate the attitude of gratitude and be thankful for the people we love and good things in our lives.

Are you going out shopping tomorrow? I may venture to Michaels but that's about it. With so much online shopping and Black Friday deals available, I'll be here at my desk!

It's full on to the December holidays now with Hanukkah coming early this year on Dec. 7 and Christmas rolling in like that boulder after Indy in Raiders of the Lost Ark. No surprise that so many of you are already ready so let's take a look at some ideas shared at last week's party!

These Yarn Wrapped Framed Trees from Steph Creates are a fresh take! Rustic yet glam.

This Couple's Advent Calendar from The House on Silverado is a wonderful way to remember to make the season special for you and your special someone.

The Apple Street  Cottage shared a Fun and Festive Pom Pom Wreath, complete with fairy lights!

Finally, you have to check out these Iced Christmas Oreo Cookies (with a surprise inside) from Fat Dad Foodie

Thank you to all of you who linked up. To new party peeps, welcome. To those who are regulars, thank you. This party and seeing what you create each week are among my blessings. Creativity has gotten me through the hardest of times and knowing so many other Creatives are out there is joyous. Wishing all of my American peeps, a Happy Thanksgiving!

BFF Open House

Happy Friday Eve all, and THIS IS NOT A DRILL...one week until American Thanksgiving. While never a big Black Friday shopper, it seems really anticlimactic anymore with BF sales starting before Halloween it seems. Yet somehow, I haven't even started my holiday shopping.

Thankful. I had a lovely surprise when I linked up to Wednesday's Vintage Charm Party over at Our Hopeful Home and found my Paint Poured Pumpkins featured!

This week I shared the Tablescape and Decor for which I made those, as well as the Thanksgiving Cards I made for family and friends.

Before we go into full on December Holidays, let's take a look at a few ideas from last week's party honoring the season of Thankfulness.

Steph Creates shared this Stacked Pumpkin Welcome sign.Check sales to make for next year or there's still a week!

The Apple Street Cottage shared these Chalkboard Place Cards that will make any table more special.

Hunny I'm Home share these beutiful and FREE Thanksgiving Printables. Printables are a great way to up your decor game and impress your guests or as a hostess gift. Print, frame, done!

With Cornucopias being such a Thanksgiving staple, add these Edible Cornucopias from 3 Winks Design to your table for some additional fun. Love the chocolate!

Thank you to all who linked up. Wishing my US friends a calm and peaceful week ahead with all f the shopping, cleaning, cooking that precedes a holiday.

BFF Open House TWO WEEK Edition

Happy Friday Eve all! Before we get started, a note: I'm leaving this party up to cover next week as well because I'll be running around Disneyland and California Adventure like the mature adult I'm not. We're going to celebrate my birthday (last month) and wanted to wait until it was a little cooler to go. So there will be features this week, the party will stay open to link up next week and I'll do double features the following week.

Mr. Chocolate might have opinions on how early holiday supplies hit the craft stores, but that didn't stop him from wanting a Christmas mug yesterday when we were at JoAnn and it was already 40% off!

But before we start with December holidays, let's take a look at some Halloween ideas there's still time to make. This week I shared two projects: Easy Halloween Candles and a Dia de los Muertos Canvas

The Apple Street Cottage shared a great Easy Halloween Candle project. I love the combination of elegant and creepy!

Anyone else loathe cleaning out pumpkin guts to carve pumpkins? Creatively Beth has us covered with these Printable No-Carve Pumpkin Faces

If you're looking to dress things up, My Thrift Store Addiction shared this Elegantly Eerie Arachnophile Tea Party

Finally, these Skeleton Cookies from Two Chicks and a Mom are just perfect for the season!

Thanks to all who linked up and remember,, this party will be up for Two Weeks! Now, let's see what everyone's been up to!

It's Fall Y'all. Do you know how I know despite it still being 100 degrees where I am? I've already seen the annual Balsam Hill Christmas tree ads, Walmart and others have Christmas trees up, and Michaels has their Christmas paper stacks out. See? You know it's FALL when Christmas appears.

"But seriously"...I love Fall even though it's brief here in the desert. We are surrounded by pecan groves in Southern AZ and I can't wait until they're ready to harvest. Let's take a look at some inspiring Fall ideas shared at last week's party!

Halloween first. These Cute and Spooky Halloween Ghost Candles from The House on Silverado are fun and festive, plus made elegant in the crystal candle holders!

The Apple Street Cottage shared some beautiful ideas showing How to Decorate for Fall on a Budget.

Maybe you've foud some vintage silverware while thrifting or have some family pieces that just sit in a drawer. Fresh Vintage by Lisa S showed how to transform them into Beads, Jewelry, and Home Decor items.

Finally, Sonata Home Design shared these absolutely gorgeous Fall Leaf Pie Crust Cookies. Too pretty to eat!

Thank you to everyone who linked up and can't wait to see what you've been up to this week!

Happy Officially Summer! With yesterday marking the Summer Solstice and the longest day of the year, we are officially in Summer mode. It's easy for me to forget since "Summer" can feel like it starts in April/May here. In fact, if I recall correctly, we had our first 100 degree day in April.

I'm still discovering all the arts events and activities in the Tucson area and I subscribe to a newsletter that highlights things to do each weekend. The coolest thing was included in this week's. Raise your hand if you grew up with pink erasers. Me! Check this out!

This local artist is creating 100 unique rubber stamps out of pink erasers

"Serena Rios McRae, also known as Cactus Clouds Art, has spent the last several months carving detailed designs into pink erasers."

You can read more at the link. I love this!

Hope everyone who celebrated the Fathers in their lives had a great Father's Day. Now let's take a look at some of the wonderful ideas shared at last week's party! With Fourth of July approaching, there were lots of fun ideas.

Master Pieces of My Life shared this amazing Vintage Ribbon Flag. All of the different textures really make this special!

The Apple Street Cottage shared these fun DIY Firecrackers! No risk of fire and so pretty!

Fresh Vintage by Lisa S shared this wonderful Envelope Patriotic Pillow. A great accent, for indoors or out!

And while these Hot Air Balloon Madeleines aren't Fourth of July per se, they could be with different icing colors but they're also just too darn cute and perfect for Summer parties. From Claire Justine.

Thank you to everyone who linked up and can't wait to see what you've been up to this week!
