BFF Open House

Whew! Happy Friday Eve and how is Saturday March already?! The first signs of Spring for me are allergies and my nose and eyes are starting to feel the twitch. Hopefully it's warmed up some in colder places and you're seeing signs of Spring emerge.

It's beeen a fun week at the Cricut Craft Fest with great projects and tips and techniques. Can't wait to play with some of the things I learned. A sure sign of Spring her in the Tucson area is the Spring Artisans Market sponsored by the Tucson Museum of Art. In a couple of weeks, we'll also have the annual Festival of Books on the UofA campus which is any book lover's dream! I love the appreciation for art and learning in this part of the state and how it honors the diverse people who live here.

I wasn't very creative this week due to errands and appointments so looking forward to playing with some stuff I picked up while out. Still in shock that JoAnn will now be closing ALL of their stores!

OK...let's take a look at some of the ideas from last week's party!

Steph Creates Things shared a wonderful upcycle project with this pretty Metal Tea Container Redesign.

Sunday is Dr. Seuss' Birthday and this idea from Simple Everyday Mom is a fun way to celebrate with kids! Cat in the Hat Fork Painting!

March also means Mardi Gras this year and you don't have to be in New Orleans to celebrate. Check out this fun DIY Mardi Gras Mask from Hunny I'm Home DIY!

Speaking of Mardi Gras, these King Cake Cookies from Cindy's Online Recipe Box are a perfect way to bring some of the fun home.

Thanks to all who linked up and can't wait to see what Spring goodies you've got in store! Happy Weekend Creative Peeps. Be good to yourselves.

BFF Open House Happy New Year

Happy 2025 Creative Peeps! I hope you had a wonderful Christmas, Yule, Hanukkah etc! Ours was sniffly but lovely.  As someone who was in tech during the Y2K preparations, it seems like a lifetime ago already that we entered the twenty-first century and now we're one quarter of the way through it. Surreal!

Mr. Chocolate blew me away with the gift of a Glowforge! I need to prepare my craft room for its place of honor. I both can't wait to play and am still in disbelief!

Wishing you all peace, health, and creativity in this New Year! Let's take  look at some things shared and to pin for next year!

Crazy Little Love Birds shared this lovely Winter Decor Idea!

Hunny I'm Home DIY shared this brilliant idea using Dollar Tree Jenga Blocks to make trees!

The Apple Street Cottage shared this gorgeous idea using Mini Salt and Pepper Shakers as Table Decor.

Steph Creates shared this gorgeous Winter Wonderland using a Recycled Tea Tin!

As always, thank you to all who linked up. I can't wait to see what brilliance you have in store in the New Year!

BFF Open House

Happy Friday Eve and HAPPY THANKSGIVING, Creative Peeps! We focus this day on gratitude for what we have in our lives and among the many people and things for which I am grateful, I am grateful for the gift of creativity and creative people who share their talents at my party each week. If I didn't have a creative outlet, I don't know what I'd do. It's a kinetic energy that has to go somewhere!

I broke my own tradition and started my Christmas decorating this week before Thanksgiving. I stole some time yesterday to do a quick Thanksgiving Craft with these Decorative Candleholders

Whether you're hosting or visiting, wishing you a wonderful day. And from here on out...it's full speed ahead to Christmas and Hanukkah!

Let's take a look at some great ideas for yourselves or as gifts.

Crushed Glass Art is very popular right now and usually requires resin. The Apple Street Cottage has a wonderful project that doesn't use resin which can be challenging for people sensitive to fumes. Check out her Crushed Glass Christmas Tree tutorial!

Gingerbread themes are everywhere and Master Pieces of My Life has a fabulous and fun project with this oversized Gingerbread Mug. Perfect to add to your decor for a little whimsy!

Rae Dunn design remains classic and popular and these candles from Hunny I'm Home DIY are so fun and fresh!

Sum of Their Stories was gifted old Saris by a friend. I think Saris are so beautiful...I picked up some little drawstring bags at a bead show made from old Saris and love that they can continue their life repurposed. Check out these gorgeous Christmas Ornaments made from Recycled Saris!

Finally, Steph Creates shared a great upgrade to a Target Wood Sleigh. Fun and festive!

Thanks to everyone who linked up and again, wishing my American friends a Happy and Joyous Thanksgiving.
