Happy Friday Eve, and mid-October, Creative Peeps! I hope you've had a good week, and if you've been in the path of hurricanes, you're safe and dry. Temps continue to cool down in the desert. As I mentioned last week, this is when our market season really takes off, and there are too many to choose from! I love it because that means that there is that much creativity out there, and the world needs it! Dia de los Muertos is celebrated widely here in Southern Arizona with many events.

So this week, I shared:

DIY Sugar Skull

Currently working on another one for reasons explained in the post!

Now, let's take a look at some of the fun ideas shared at last week's party!

Crazy Little Lovebirds shared these adorable Mini Halloween Chalkboards. These would be great for classmates, friends, as gift tags for Boo Baskets, or so many possibilities!

Petticoat Junktion shared this AMAZING Natural Fall Wreath that can last all season. Rustic, simple, beautiful.

Got cardboard? And who doesn't, from shipping boxes?! Bluesky At Home has a BEAUTIFUL way to transform it into Faux Ceramic Tiles.

Finally, a fun treat for dessert tables, goodie bags, parties. Oreo Spiders from Rose Bakes!

Thanks to all who shared, and let's see what you've been up to this week!

Not sure where the week went, but it did, and it was a lazy-ish one! Our monsoon season is here, and it's going to be a wild ride this year. PSA: If you're ever in the desert Southwest and see flash flood warnings: HEED THEM! You may think you know rain (and I come from Seattle!), but desert flash floods are a whole different animal.

This weekend, we celebrate Juneteenth, which marks the news of Emancipation finally reaching enslaved people in Texas two years after the Emancipation Proclamation. We also celebrate Father's Day. For some, it's a hard day, whether through death or estrangement. I lost my dad young, but his memory stays a blessing, and the grandson he never got to meet bears part of his name. Almost from birth, I'd catch an expression, then gesture, and see my dad right there!

I will celebrate the number one dad in my life, Mr. Chocolate, who has been the best parenting partner I could have hoped for.

OK! Let's take a look at some of the fun ideas shared at last week's party!

Steph Creates shared a pretty and creative way to Repurpose Metal Lids using Florals and other embellishments. She comments in her post: "serves as a lovely reminder that even the smallest materials can become beautiful with a touch of creativity." I agree!

Bag Charms are everywhere, from designer brands to fast fashion, so of course, intrepid Creatives aren't going to be left out.  Birdz of a Feather shared how to DIY Pistachio Bag Charms out of polymer clay.

Summertime screams lemons and Sonata Home Design has a great post (including a free printable!) featuring ways to incorporate Lemon Kitchen Decor.

Summertime is also ice cream time, and Rose Bakes has us covered with this No-Churn Coffee Ice Cream! YUM!

Thanks to everyone who linked up. Wishing you a happy weekend, whatever you're doing, including NOTHING!

Happy Friday Eve, all, and Happy APRIL! Yikes. I spent too many years thinking in terms of business quarters, so being in "second quarter" already is...WOW. I hope everyone survived April Fool's Day, a thing I've never enjoyed, but I know some people do epic pranks. We had a guest for a few days, so I didn't get to play in my craft room, but we did get to visit the Tucson Botanical Garden, which is a really wonderful place. 5.5 acres in the middle of the city that have been turned into beautiful gardens, a fabulous butterfly garden, a replica of Frida Kahlo's Blue House, and art installations throughout. There's even a miniature train garden with replicas of historic train stations around the country. Worth a visit if you ever get to these parts!

Happy Passover to all observing, and I know others are busy getting ready for Easter, so let's take a look at some fun ideas you can still do or pin for next year.

Check out this gorgeous Mosaic Egg from Selep Imaging. The colors and patterns are really make it work!

Hunny I'm Home DIY shared these fun DIY Easter Bunny Juice Boxes, which would be fun to add to a drink table or Easter basket. Complete with a free template!

Check out this STUNNING Spring Charcuterie Board from Rose Bakes! So perfect for Spring entertaining.

Finally, wouldn't this colorful Jello Poke Cake shared by Flour on My Face be a great addition to any dessert table? So pretty and bright!

Thanks to everyone who linked up and can't wait to see what you've got in store this week!

Happy Friday Eve and Valentine's Weekend! We are taking this year off, but when you're long married like us, it's no big deal! Between getting my Mom situated and getting ready for Mr. Chocolate's upcoming birthday trip, had to let something go this year.

I did get some Valentine's Cards done for family and friends, which I shared this week.

In the meantime, let's take a look at some things there is still time to do or, as always, PIN for future inspiration!

Ann's Entitled Life shared a bright and beautiful Valentine's Tablescape. As a bonus, she included recipes at the end of the post!

Got denim? Check out this Upcycled Denim Heart from The Apple Street Cottage!

Definitely still time to make these adorable Valentine's/Galentine's Straw Toppers from Drug Store Divas.

Likewise, these Printable Valentine's Tags from Building Our Hive are a quick and easy way to have some 🩷Day fun.

Fially, these Chocolate Covered Strawberry Cupcakes from Rose Bakes, would make any heart swoon!

Happy Friday Eve, Valentine's Day Eve, and Galentine's Day! Sending warm thoughts to the Chicagoland area and surrounds because our son let us know "It's FREEZING" as we remind him "You chose this!". It cooled down a bit here in the desert too but nothing like that no thank you!

This week I shared:

Bead Show Visits

Layered Rose Heart Valentine's Day Cards

Gothic Valentine's Day

And you've all been busy prepping for Valentine's celebrations so let's take a look at some wonderful ideas! Wishing you all lots of love. Self, family, partner, kids...LOVE. Now, more than ever.

Artsy Va Va shared this pretty Watercolor Heart Canvas that would work for Valentine's or anytime. The background makes it pop!

Galentine's Day...the day before Valentine's Day to celebrate our girlfriends who play such important roles in our life...continues to gain traction. Rose Bakes shared this great Galentine's Charcuterie Board to celebrate!

Finally, who wouldn't want to have a plate of CHOCOLATE WAFFLES like these from Recipes Simple? That who would be me!

Thank you to all who linked up. Wishing you a weekend filled with love!

BFF Open House Party Through Year End

Happy Friday Eve all! By this time next week, Santa will have come and the first night of Hanukkah candles will have been lit. I'm taking a page out of a friend's idea and making this a two week party that will stay up through year end.

This week I shared my 2024 Christmas Cards and here's a short video from our Disney trip. If you've ever thought of going at the holidays I highly recommend it. Everything that stands still is decorated and attractions like The Haunted Mansion and It's a Small World are completely transformed. The Anaheim Haunted Mansion is the only one of all the Disney Parks to re-do itself in a Nightmare Before Christmas Theme, complete with a scented Gingerbread House ballroom. All of the characters are also dressed for the season. And the treats!

Let's take a  look at some ideas from last week's party!

Sonata Home Design shared a wonderful Tassel Tree Framed Art Piece made from yarn! So creative.

My Thrift Store Addiction has a great gift idea you still have time to do with Homemade Herb Sea Salt.

Artsy Va Va shared this wonderful Farmhouse Style Centerpiece that can also double as a wreath!

Finally, Rose Bakes shared this very festive Grinch Punch. Next to Disney gear, the next character we saw the most of on fellow park goers was The Grinch. Shirts, sweatshirts, sweaters, backpacks, you name it.

Thank you to all who linked up not only last week but in 2024. Can't wait to see what creativity is in store for 2025 and what crafty tools Santa may leave under your trees! Whether you're celebrating Solstice, Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, something else, or nothing at all, wishing you all a joyous and peaceful end of the year and a great and creative start to 2025! The link party will stay open through New Year's Day!
