BFF Open House

Greetings and Happy Friday Eve, Creative Peeps!

First, let me thank you for all your kind well wishes for Mr. Chocolate .🥰😍🥰
His surgery went even better than we could have hoped, which is to say, it went GREAT! There was a slight chance of him having to stay overnight which he didn't, and his recovery has been ahead of schedule with NONE of the things they say "could" happen initially. He's regaining his energy and my biggest challenge now is him not doing too much too soon. I'll take that problem! There's always duct tape.

Let me give a special shout out to nurses, who are amazing! We had nothing but kind, caring, and funny nurses who helped keep a nervous patient calm and reassured him he wasn't a burden. 🙏🏽

You all were busy as usual, so features are an eclectic mix of Summer and seasons to come.

It's peak Gardening season which means extra TLC for hands, and Ann's Entitled Life has you covered with this DIY Gardener Hand Scrub

Hunny I'm Home DIY shared this Dollar Tree Frame Centerpiece (this one for graduation) that can be adapted to any occasion.

If you're getting a head start on Christmas (like we all should be) Master Pieces of My Life has you covered with a roundup of great Christmas in July projects!

Finally, how about this ooey-gooey yummy looking Glazed Chocolate Chip Oreo Cookie Toffee Coffee Cake (say THAT three times fast) from Cindy's Online Recipe Box

Thank you so much for all of the support and can't wait to see what you've got to share this week!

BFF Open House Two Week Party!

Happy Friday Eve once again, Creative Peeps! I hope everyone had a safe and peaceful Fourth with limited furbaby panic not to mention our Vets. It was very quiet here. It's been a light monsoon season so far, but every year I'm reminded how intolerant of humidity of any kind I've become. Then I talk to my son in Chicago and bestie who had to move to Austin for work and I shut up.

I'm putting this party up as a two-week party. Mr. Chocolate's procedure is Tuesday, but short story long, it's being done up North because he kept his provider from when we lived up there. When this all started, it made sense to stick with them, and we had no idea we'd end up with surgery. So, we're combining it into a little getaway since he'll have to be seen the next day and in case of any issues. Plus, Summer rates at resorts here are great. Trying to work smarter not harder. Seems the easiest thing to do.

OK let's take a look at some of the ideas from last week's party and then we'll have double features week after next.

Steph Creates shared this DIY Fabric Bowls, which, let's face it, can't we always use more storage? Why not make it pretty!

How much fun are these DIY Tooth Fairy Pillows from Creatively Beth?!

Master Pieces of My Life shared a wonderful way to DIY Vintage Toleware.

Finally, a great way to beat the heat is with a refreshing Agua Fresca which literally translated means "Fresh Water", but are really fruit infused waters. VERY popular here in the Southwest and true to our Mexican origins. Cindy's Online Recipe Box shared this refreshing Watermelon Lime Agua Fresca recipe!

Thank you for the supportive comments and understanding of my CLUMP (Crafting Slump). See y'all two weeks from now. Be safe. Be good. Be creative!

Happy Friday Eve and almost Summer. I know we consider it Summer as soon as Memorial Day hits but then officially it's not for a few  more weeks...Sprummer?  I hope everyone had a good week and long weekend.

Getting over some crud that got me. A couple more days of antibiotics. The saying "If it's not one thing, it's another" remains true!

I did get a chance to play with leftovers this week. I shared how I used the paper towel I'd used to absorb excess dye from my Dyed Coffee Filters, as its own craft supply!

Now let's take look at some of the great ideas shared at last week's party!

Steph Creates shared a wonderful DIY Sweet Summer Sign to welcome the season!

Summer screams popsicles and Creatively Beth shared a fabulous Hand Drawn Printable.

Master Pieces of My Life shared how to combine Fern Fronds, Cloches, and Thrifted Trays to make a BEAUTIFUL Summer display.

Finally, if you ever chanted "You scream, I scream, we all scream for ice cream" then you need this Swiss Roll NO CHURN Ice Cream from The Kitchen Is My Playground

Thanks to everyone who linked up and can't wait to see what brilliance you have to share this week!

Happy Friday Eve, all, and Happy M A Y ! That came up fast, didn't it?

I've been busy in the background working on a project I'm not ready to share yet so I didn't post anything this week. That's been in between the reality of "life is what happens when you're busy making other plans" as my Mom likes to say.

Mr. Chocolate has had his first turn with a physical health issue. It has been daunting  trying to get to the bottom of it. I'm the family weirdo who isn't bothered by medical stuff and I sometimes forget not everyone's as unbothered by it as I am. He's been anxious etc., so I'm glad I'm able to be by his side and hopefully soon we'll have THE treatment plan.

Mother's Day is sneaking up on me so I'm going to try and knock out some cards for family and friends but we'll see!

So many fun ideas shared at last week's party. As I say whenever I can't spend time in my craft room, seeing your creativity each week keeps me going so a big THANK YOU to all of you who share it here.

Master Pieces of My Life shared this fabulous Terra Cotta Themed Tablescape. Perfect for entertaining this time of the year and reminds me of dining in the French or Italian countryside.

Steph Creates shared this adorable Dollar Tree Frog Vignette using One Clay Pot!

3Winks Design shared how to make Wood Burned Garden Markers. Make a batch for your own garden or as a gift!

Finally, all the way from the Big Island of Hawaii, Kleinworthco shared these delicious-looking Blueberry Pie Bars. Fun to make just because or add to a brunch table!

Thank you everyone who linked up and can't wait to see what you've got in store this week!

BFF Open House

Happy Friday eve all and Happy Easter Weekend. Still cruising on the allergy superhighway with our Palo Verde trees in full bloom. I'm tempted to hermetically seal off a room in my house! Just me and our portable air filter. Whine whine whine...

I hope everyone had a good week. This week I shared the Easter cards I made for family and friends now that I know they've been received. It's a constant struggle to not make them too heavy considering how postage just keeps going up but, it's my first love.

There were so many fun and festive eggs, snacks, treats shared at last week's party. Here are a few!

Two Chicks and a Mom shared her very talented son's Artsy Easter Eggs. Drawn with Sharpies!! The apple didn't fall far from the creative tree!

Our Grand Lives shared another take on Bunny Bait that would be so much fun at place settings or on a dessert table or to make with littles.

24 Hour Family shared one of the most elegant Charcuterie Boards I've seen that is so perfect for Easter.

Finally, these DIY Pressed Flower Easter Eggs from Master Pieces of My Life are so pretty for Spring and Easter. Love them!

Wishing everyone celebrating a Happy Easter and a joy-filled and peaceful weekend!

Happy Friday Eve all! It's bound to be a crazy weekend out there with people getting an early start on St. Patrick's Day celebrating so pace yourselves and be careful out there.

THANK YOU so much for the kind comments about our son's dog attack last week. He and Grand Pup are doing well. After a couple nights of interrupted sleep he took the cone of aggravation off at night and they both immediately slept well. We also got some great news. He was referred to a hand surgeon because they thought the damage to his nail bed warranted it and the hand surgeon said that despite what the ER thought, the nail is already showing signs of regeneration. This whole thing could have been SO much worse. What a difference a week makes!

Here at Casa Chocolate, Mr. Man has been dealing with a health issue so I haven't had time or energy to make anything this week but we're on the right path which is all any of us can hope for.

OK let's take a look at some of the wonderful ideas shared at last week's party!

Steph Creates shared this beautiful Spring and Easter Floral Bunny Plaque

Master Pieces of My Life shared all kinds of creative ways to incorporate Moss Elements into Spring Decor.

Moois Van M(i)e from the Netherlands shared these beautiful Circles of Color DIY Earrings. So fresh for Spring!

Finally, this Chocolate Mint Shamrock Log from Cindy's Online Recipe Box is perfect for St. Patrick's Day!

Thanks to all who linked up and for sharing your creativity here each week. I think now, more than ever, we need both an outlet and to see pretty things. Be well!
