BFF Open House

Happy Friday Eve all and can you believe it's exactly TWO WEEKS until American Thanksgiving?! I can't. It is. No!

I had fun this week with a couple of projects to switch up my Thanksgiving decor. I shared Tissue Paper Covered Pumpkins and Paint Pour Pumpkins and busy finishing up my Thanksgiving Cards. This is the time of year I'm at my most creative and tend to have more ideas than time. Wouldn't it make so much sense for me to write them all down and work on them throughout the year? Yes. Do I do that? No. Am I going to try to do that for 2024...we shall see!

You all are busy makers so let's take a look at some of the great ideas shared at last week's party!

If you're hosting and want to add some new napkin rings to your table, check out these DIY Napkin Rings from Try It Like It

Two Chicks and a Mom shared an easy-to-make Thanksgiving Banner complete with free printables!

As always Creatively Beth has a festive craft perfect for a Thanksgiving table or as a craft to keep people entertained while the cooking's going on! How cute are these Clothespin Turkeys?

Finally, if you're looking for a new adult beverage for the season, this Caramel Apple Pie Martini from Cindy's Online Recipe Box is absolutely perfect!

BFF Open House TWO WEEK Edition

Happy Friday Eve all! Before we get started, a note: I'm leaving this party up to cover next week as well because I'll be running around Disneyland and California Adventure like the mature adult I'm not. We're going to celebrate my birthday (last month) and wanted to wait until it was a little cooler to go. So there will be features this week, the party will stay open to link up next week and I'll do double features the following week.

Mr. Chocolate might have opinions on how early holiday supplies hit the craft stores, but that didn't stop him from wanting a Christmas mug yesterday when we were at JoAnn and it was already 40% off!

But before we start with December holidays, let's take a look at some Halloween ideas there's still time to make. This week I shared two projects: Easy Halloween Candles and a Dia de los Muertos Canvas

The Apple Street Cottage shared a great Easy Halloween Candle project. I love the combination of elegant and creepy!

Anyone else loathe cleaning out pumpkin guts to carve pumpkins? Creatively Beth has us covered with these Printable No-Carve Pumpkin Faces

If you're looking to dress things up, My Thrift Store Addiction shared this Elegantly Eerie Arachnophile Tea Party

Finally, these Skeleton Cookies from Two Chicks and a Mom are just perfect for the season!

Thanks to all who linked up and remember,, this party will be up for Two Weeks! Now, let's see what everyone's been up to!

BFF Open House

Happy Friday Eve once again all. I hope that September is treating you well so far and that those of you who sent kiddoes back to school this week are settling into the new school year. I don't know about you, but I'm ready for Fall although that still means ninety-degree days here in the desert for a while. But mentally...

Let's take a look at some of the wonderful ideas shared at last week's party!

The House on Silverado shared this fun Thrift Store Table makeover. Fresh and clean!

It All Started With Paint shared Boho Mason Jar Vases that can be painted to coordinate with any color scheme.

If you've ever been fortunate enough to go to a Disney Park during Fall, you've seen how everything is decorated for Halloween. We love it. Creatively Beth is back showing how you can bring that decor home with this Mickey Inspired Pumpkin Wreath

Finally, if you're planning an adult Halloween or other Fall party, these Reeses Pudding Shots from The Wooden Spoon Effect are a must! Non-alcoholic version also available!

BFF Open House

Hello and Happy Friday Eve! It's been crazy weather all week with afternoon monsoon performances around me. Thunder, lightning, rain, even when the sun's out, and some beautiful sunsets. Then then next morning it's clear and dry and starts anew.

Hope you've all had  a great week. I had a moment Tuesday when I realized Christmas is in FIVE  MONTHS!

Let's\ take a look at some of the great ideas from last week's party!

I love my reusable shopping bags and  every time I look, there are more fun and pretty ones. Penny's Vintage Home has a great way to use them as Shopping Bag Wall Art

Steph Creates shared these lovely DIY Terra Cotta Pot Decorations that easily go with any decor.

Harry Potter was a huge part of our son's childhood and if you're familiar with the "Potterverse"you know that July is Harry's Birthday month and bloggers love to celebrate. These Printable Coloring Pages from Creatively Beth are perfect!

Finally, this Chocolate Chip Fudge Muffin Cake from Cindy's Online Recipe Box just speaks for itself! There's a sugar free version too!

BFF Open House

Happy Friday Eve all! I hope everyone had a SAFE Fourth and that furbabies weren't too distressed. We live in a "dark sky" town where only professional fireworks are allowed and given that we haven't had any rain from monsoon season yet, it's also a tinderbox so I'm glad things were minimal.

Random: I love my Physical Therapist who's basically building me a home workout I can continue when we're done. I've been an advocate for PT since I first had to go through it for a shoulder injury and son had to go through it for a knee injury.

Halloween and Fall are starting to appear in stores and honestly, I can't wait. Fall through Christmas are my favorite maker times of the year.

In the interim, let's take a look at some great projects from last week's party!

It's still very much Summer and this festive Summer Drink Tray from Steph Creates is just perfect!

Lavender is amazing. It's pretty to look at, make things with, even use in recipes. There's a big festival North of us that we've missed two years running between moving last year and being injured this year. Hoping next year's the charm! In the meantime, Master Pieces of My Life has a fabulous Lavender roundup of projects!

These Tooth Fairy Pillows from Creatively Beth are so cute! I need to make one of these for my Fairy Granddaughter (my BFF's grand).

Finally, with it being fruit season and so much in abundance, this 3 Ingredient Blueberry Jam recipe from Drugstore Divas is just perfect!

Thanks to everyone who linked up and can't wait to see what you've been up to this week!

BFF Open Hous

Happy June all! I'm not sad to see May go but the saga continues. Mr. Chocolate was finally able to stand and walk on his injured foot and of course, overdid it because some days "Why are MEN?!" And I've had back issues for years including a previously herniated disc so guess who's going for imaging tomorrow. I refuse to let June go the way of May! REFUSE! So, another week of not doing much which has to change.

In the meantime, let's see what you healthy creative people have been up to!

This $5 Target Mini-Wheelbarrow with Succulents from Steph Creates is a perfect Spring to Summer transition piece.

I love seeing Painted Rocks in gift shops and galleries and does anyone remember a few years ago when people were leaving these to be found by random others? Simple Joys has some wonderful ways to do these.

With July Fourth next month, get a jump on a piece of Patriotic Decor using Vintage Rulers! From the always Creatively Beth.

Finally, and as the saying goes "timing is everything" because we just saw these on a show and couldn't remember the name, check out these Brigadeiros, a Brazilian Truffle, from Kiku Corner. YUM!

BFF Open House

Happy Friday Eve already again! No idea where the week went. And what a difference a week makes. We live surrounded by pecan groves we didn't even know existed until we were househunting last year and last week I swear there were no leaves on the trees and this week? BAM!

A friend of mine and her husband just joined the Grandparent's club so I had fun making them this card to celebrate. She's the friend who actually got me into cardmaking which she left behind almost as soon as she got me hooked. See my Baby Bear Card here.

Lots of wonderful ideas shared at last week's party so let's take a look at a few.

The Apple Street Cottage shared what to do with something that isn't cut quite perfectly but can still be used with this Imperfect Cutting Board Makeover

Want to add a bit of a French Country vibe to your gardening? Check out this Burlap Container Gardening idea shared by Masterpieces of My Life

Whether for Mother's Day or any occasion, these Oversized Flower Gift Tags from Whitehouse Crafts will make any gift special.

And if you need a gift to go with those awesome gift tags, these Faux Turquoise Earrings from Creatively Beth are just the thing.

Thanks to everyone who linked up and can't wait to see what you've all been up to this week!
