BFF Open House

Happy Friday Eve all! It's monsoon season here in the desert so we've had muggy ( for us ) days and stormy nights with lots of lightning shows and thunder. It's a crazy Summer all around and I hope that you're all managing to stay cool and safe.

This week I shared my Coffee Filter Flower tutorial for those of you who may not have seen and been on the lookout for it!

Let's take a look at some of the ideas shared at last week's party!

Popsicles scream Summer and if you need a Summer card, you can't go wrong with this idea from Linda at Paper Seedlings. Looks good enough to eat!

It's never to early to start making Christmas Ornaments either for your own tree or as gifts. Apple Street Cottage has a simple way to do so using polymer clay and an embossing folder. Genius!

As much as July has become "Christmas in July" month, it's also an ongoing celebration of Harry Potter in honor of Harry's birthday. This Deathly Hallows pillow from Creatively Beth is so cool !

Finally, what's better on a hot Summer day than some ice cream? How about Chocolate Pomegranate ice cream from Morsels of Life? Yum!

Now let's see what everyone's been up to this week!

Happy Friday Eve Creative Peeps! Hope your week is going well. Mine got a huge boost on Tuesday when I got my blasted drain removed and confirmation that the abscess that resulted in it is fully gone. It got even better Wednesday when PhD Man arrived for a visit and to spoil me. It's such a wonderful feeling to have adult children who want to spend time with you. Thank you for your words of support and encouragement!

Let's take a look at some of the ideas shared at last week's party.

How cute are these bright and colorful earrings? Perfect for Summer. Made with Liquid Sculpey and shared by Beth from Creatively Beth

Mary Jo from Master Pieces of My Life shared her gorgeous Summer Tablescape! So many layered elements and my fave combo of rustic and elegant.

I usually don't go thrifting with a specific item in mind but it's always helpful and inspiring to me to see what other people find to keep in the back of my mind when I go. This collection of goodies from Thrifting Wonderland is no exception! Such wonderful finds.

"If you like Pina Coladas..." then you will love these Coconut Pineapple popsicles from Morsels of Life. I love the combination of coconut and pineapple so perfect for Summertime!

Thanks as always to everyone who linked up and let's see what you've all been up to this week!

Whew! Here we are at the end of the week again already! And almost to May which seems impossible. Finally had time to play in my craft room and then found myself stuck so have been watching some You Tube videos and trying to learn Inkscape and then finally had an idea for Mother's Day cards which I'm finishing up.

How do you get yourselves creatively un-stuck? I'd love to hear your strategies and if I get enough responses, I'll turn that into a post!

Meanwhile, let's take a look at some of the creativity shared at last week's party!

There is just something about lavender that holds a wide appeal all over the world. Someday I want to visit the lavender fields in Provence, France.  Our last house before we moved from Washington had TONS of lavender bushes and I would cut and dry bunches. I wish I'd thought to do what Lisa from Fresh Vintage by Lisa S did with this beautiful Lavender Wreath!

Tonna, from Sew Crafty Crochet shared not only a gorgeous wreath but a great way to use up bits of leftover yarn by making a bunch of crocheted flowers.

Summer will be here before we know it ( OK it's already supposed to be in the 90's today here in the desert..."Spring") so you'll want to check out not only this cute Hello Summer printable from Creatively Beth, but she also has 15 more! Free!

Finally, maybe you're planning a Mother's Day Brunch or like me, you have a freezer full of blueberries. Either way, this Farmhouse Blueberry Coffee Cake from Mom The Lunch Lady is a must try recipe!

OK peeps, let's see what you've been up to this week!

Wasn't it just January 1? Normally I'd complain at how fast time is going by but not this year with vaccine rollout ramping up and putting us closer to being able to get back to some of our "normal" lives. So very thankful that my mom has gotten her first dose! Glad to see that things are thawing out in parts of the country that have been frozen and hopefully we won't have any more bad Winter storms.

Lots of creativity at last week's party so here are a few projects that caught my eye!

With St. Patrick's Day approaching, here's an easy, fun and inexpensive way to add some festive decor to your home. This is a fun sign from Dollar Tree ( I just bought one myself, coincidentally) decorated with an Irish Jig from Condo Blues!

I also loved this fun Leprechaun Jar idea shared by Creatively Beth. What a fun treat for everyone!

If your green leans towards the variety of having a green thumb, here's a beautiful vignette from The House on Silverado that's a perfect way to bring some festive St. Patrick's charm to your decor.

Finally, what's more perfect for St. Patrick's Day dessert than a Chocolate Pistachio Cake? Perfect for Easter and all Spring celebrations as well! From Master Pieces of My Life

Alright creative friends, let's see what you've all  been up to this week!

Happy Friday Eve all! Hope that everyone has had an uneventful week! Uneventful has become my favorite word. We had a little surprise snow here in the desert! I live in the foothills of the "Valley of the Sun" so it was a but of a shock!

January is not going by slowly is it? How are we at the end already with February on our heels which means lots of Valentine's and Galentine's Day fun! Let's take a look at some of the ideas shared at last week's party.

My latest projects are here and here : DIY Leather and Silver Earrings and How to Make a Card Without Fancy Tools

If you have a collection of family memories like Vintage Valentines, The House on Silverado has a great way to make a current piece of Valentine decor using them!

How pretty is this Ombre Felt Fringed Heart from Creatively Beth! You can adapt to whatever your Valentine's color palette is.

Masterpieces of My Life shared Six Decor Ideas for Valentine's Day including these beautiful Romantic French Labeled Bottles!

Finally, Two Chicks and A Mom has Valentine's Sugar Cookies that would be perfect to make for that someone special!

As always, thanks to EVERYONE who linked up and let's see what you've all been up to this week!
