BFF Open House

Happy Friday Eve, all. Happy to have a creative refuge.

Dollar Tree is already stocking Christmas stuff,  so I'm sure everyone else will not be far behind. I think Mr. Chocolate finally gets that if you don't get things when you see them, you may never see them again. Exhibit something he almost missed out on.

I'm definitely missing JoAnn at this time of the year :(

This week I shared:

How to Make Hot Glue Tombstones (or any other thing for which you have silicone molds)

and

Now, let's take a look at some of the fun ideas shared at last week's party!

Steph Creates shared this DIY Candy Jar that would be lovely to give as a gift or to have at home.

Press Print Party shared a fabulous Dollar Tree Ghost DIY. So cute!

Ann's Entitled Life shared a gorgeous Fall Lantern Swag that can carry you through the season.

Finally, Hunny I'm Home DIY shared these Mini Halloween Trifles that would be perfect for any Halloween dinner, party, etc.

BFF Open House Happy September!

Happy Friday Eve and SEPTEMBER Creative Peeps! I might just be biased about it being the best month because it's my birthday month, but also the birthday month of  besties, and my Fairy Granddaughter.

We had the BEST getaway last week. Just wonderful. The place we stayed surprised us with a bottle of champagne and a beautiful fruit platter, then outdid themselves another night by decorating our room to celebrate our anniversary. Even the weather being iffy didn't matter. We had such a great time, and it was so nice after a chaotic year.

Like the creatively obsessed person I am, I even got a chance to do some Dollar Tree sleuthing in another state!

This week I shared:

So excited for the 'ber months! September, October, November, December...these are a few of my favorite things, and let's take a look at some inspiration from the last BFF Open House.

This idea has SO many possibilities! Fresh Vintage by Lisa S. shared how to make an Altered Book Picture Frame. Best part? The pictures can be interchanged.

Steph Creates shared a Simple DIY Autumn Floral and Bead Wreath. Perfect transition piece!

Master Pieces of My Life shared this ingenious Chalkboard Craft Customizable Pennant Banner. You can update for each holiday!

Finally, my caffeine addicted heart couldn't resist these Double Espresso Cake Balls from Cindy's Online Recipe Box. Of course, they also have chocolate!

Thanks all who linked up and can't wait to see what you've been up to this week!

BFF Open House: Two Week Party (Aug 21-Sept 1)

Happy Friday Eve all! Hope you've all had a good week. So many things going on...Back to School continues for parents, students, and teachers... Summerween and Augtober, as we transition from Summer to Fall...LOTS of home garden harvesting...just tons of things!

Scheduling this as a two-week party because our busy-ness includes our upcoming 34th Anniversary, so we're getting away next week to celebrate. It'll be nice because Mr. Chocolate is feeling so much better after dealing with the illness that led to his surgery last month, and we have MUCH to be grateful for.

This week I shared a couple more Halloween projects I made:

Let's take a look at some of the inspiring projects shared at last week's party.

Steph Creates Things shared a BRILLIANT use for all those candle lids we accumulate from our scented candles and repurposed them into Fall Shelf Decor

Artsy Karma shared a beautiful way to repurpose plastic bottles into BEAUTIFUL Flower Lights!

It All Started With Paint shared a perfect gift for a Math Teacher (or student!) with this Math Mason Jar Pencil Holder

And even if it's not yet sweater weather where you are (like me) you can get ready for Halloween and Fall with this Upcycled Sweater Vase shared by From the Bay to the Beach

Thanks to all who linked up, and can't wait to see what you've been up to! It'll be September when I post my next party so happy early September, which may or may not be my favorite month of the year.

BFF Open House

Happy August and Friday Eve, Creative Peeps! This year's been a blur, but I've actually had time this week to organize my Halloween craft supplies and start a couple of projects I look forward to sharing next week. Back to school is underway around me, as I was reminded when we saw the parade of school buses yesterday while out and about.

Here are some of the fun ideas shared at last week's party to Pin, Share, and Try!

Crazy Little Lovebirds shared this Tiered Metal Tray that's easy to DIY. I love tiered trays for holding and displaying collections of things and this is perfect for Fall!

Steph Creates shared this fun Coffee Canvas Tutorial. I pretty much run on iced-mochas or hot-mochas or mochas, period...you get the drift.

If back to school hasn't started for you yet, here's a very Sweet BTS M&M Teacher's Gift from Hunny I'm Home DIY

Finally, how fun are these Lego Brownies from 24 Hour Family? Perfect for lunchboxes or after-school snacks!

Thanks to everyone who linked up and can't wait to see what you've been up to this week!

BFF Open House Two Week Party!

Happy Friday Eve once again, Creative Peeps! I hope everyone had a safe and peaceful Fourth with limited furbaby panic not to mention our Vets. It was very quiet here. It's been a light monsoon season so far, but every year I'm reminded how intolerant of humidity of any kind I've become. Then I talk to my son in Chicago and bestie who had to move to Austin for work and I shut up.

I'm putting this party up as a two-week party. Mr. Chocolate's procedure is Tuesday, but short story long, it's being done up North because he kept his provider from when we lived up there. When this all started, it made sense to stick with them, and we had no idea we'd end up with surgery. So, we're combining it into a little getaway since he'll have to be seen the next day and in case of any issues. Plus, Summer rates at resorts here are great. Trying to work smarter not harder. Seems the easiest thing to do.

OK let's take a look at some of the ideas from last week's party and then we'll have double features week after next.

Steph Creates shared this DIY Fabric Bowls, which, let's face it, can't we always use more storage? Why not make it pretty!

How much fun are these DIY Tooth Fairy Pillows from Creatively Beth?!

Master Pieces of My Life shared a wonderful way to DIY Vintage Toleware.

Finally, a great way to beat the heat is with a refreshing Agua Fresca which literally translated means "Fresh Water", but are really fruit infused waters. VERY popular here in the Southwest and true to our Mexican origins. Cindy's Online Recipe Box shared this refreshing Watermelon Lime Agua Fresca recipe!

Thank you for the supportive comments and understanding of my CLUMP (Crafting Slump). See y'all two weeks from now. Be safe. Be good. Be creative!

BFF Open House

Happy Friday Eve and almost Summer. I know we consider it Summer as soon as Memorial Day hits but then officially it's not for a few  more weeks...Sprummer?  I hope everyone had a good week and long weekend.

Getting over some crud that got me. A couple more days of antibiotics. The saying "If it's not one thing, it's another" remains true!

I did get a chance to play with leftovers this week. I shared how I used the paper towel I'd used to absorb excess dye from my Dyed Coffee Filters, as its own craft supply!

Now let's take look at some of the great ideas shared at last week's party!

Steph Creates shared a wonderful DIY Sweet Summer Sign to welcome the season!

Summer screams popsicles and Creatively Beth shared a fabulous Hand Drawn Printable.

Master Pieces of My Life shared how to combine Fern Fronds, Cloches, and Thrifted Trays to make a BEAUTIFUL Summer display.

Finally, if you ever chanted "You scream, I scream, we all scream for ice cream" then you need this Swiss Roll NO CHURN Ice Cream from The Kitchen Is My Playground

Thanks to everyone who linked up and can't wait to see what brilliance you have to share this week!

BFF Open House

Blink, and it's Friday Eve again! I hope everyone who celebrated had a wonderful Mother's Day! We did. With a Mom who's getting up there, I don't take these for granted.

Had a chance to play with some things this week. Few things make me as happy as playing in my craft room. I get cranky when I can't create. Anyone else?

This week I shared:

Glam Fairy House from a Dollar Tree Fairy Cottage

Painted Llamas

Now let's take a look at some of the inspiration shared at last week's party!

I've been really focused on incorporating reusable components in my crafting this year. Steph Creates shared how to make a BEAUIFUL Upcycled Metal Storage Tin. Who can't use more storage?

It's Graduation and Wedding season so what better gift for both of those than cash?! Cindy's Online Recipe Box shared a creative and tasty way to give that kind of gift with this Money Roses and Chocolate Pretzel Bouquet

My French Twist shared this incredible Macrame Hanging Herb Garden. Pretty and functional!

Finally, and I love but haven't yet tried this trend, K'Mich's Wedding Soiree share a post filled with Focaccia Art! GORGEOUS. I want to learn!

Thanks to everyone who linked up and as always, looking forward to this week's shares.
