BFF Open House

Bloop! It's Friday Eve again already and the week has flown by. Thought a bug was getting me but I think I out ran it. Whew. Just absolutely devastating news about Maui. We celebrate our 32nd Anniversary this month and we spent our honeymoon visiting Oahu, Maui, and Kuai, and have been back to the islands several times over the years. The Lahaina area is filled with a lot of history and was designated a National Historic District. My heart goes out to the families and friends of the 36 people we know have been lost so far.

I hope those of you sending kids back to school are getting through that smoothly. I remember all of the forms and meetings involved.

More wonderful creativity shared at last week's party so let's take a look at a few!

Artsy Va Va shared this great Dragonfly Wooden Canvas featuring Terra Clay Paint!

Speaking of paint, Try It Like It shared how to use Artesprix paint and shaving cream to make these colorful Coasters.

My French Twist shared how to make a pretty and practical Emergency Kit Pouch to keep those little things we need from time to time. This would also work as a cosmetics bag!

The only thing better than a hot fudge sundae is a Hot Fudge Sundae Cake! From Cindy's Online Recipe Box

Happy Friday Eve, Easter Weekend, Passover! Our weather in the desert continues to be WILD. Red flag wind advisory on Monday, freeze warning and 29 degrees when I woke up yesterday, 90s by the weekend. I know it's been crazy in other parts of the country too.

I shared my Easter and Passover cards here: Layered Easter and Passover Cards. I had a lot of fun with them and can't wait to start working on Mother's Day cards.

Lots of creativity as always at last week's party so let's take a look at some ideas!

If you're looking for a last-minute but easy Easter decor project, look no further than this Bunny Carrot Basket from Artsy Va Va

If you're doing some Spring thrifting or freecycling, or just have a piece you've been wanting to make over, check out the transformation of this Spoon Carved Desk from Junk Is My Life.

If you're looking for a fun party idea, check out this Escape Room Party from Simple Joys.

Finally, if you're thinking ahead to a Mother's Day celebration or also perfect for showers whether baby or wedding, this Spring Mocha Fudge Cake from Claire Justine is perfect!

Thanks to everyone who linked up and whatever you're doing this weekend, enjoy!

Greetings all and happy Friday Eve. March is marching and we're about a week out from St. Patrick's Day. Not that we go out exactly but still...fun to be on the lookout for Leprechauns, right? I won't bore you with more tales of allergies laying me out.

I got a lovely boost to my foggy-headed mood when Amanda from Hometalk let me know that they're featuring my Dollar Tree Wood Bead Wreath in an upcoming newsletter. It's always lovely to be recognized and know that something you created inspired someone, isn't it? That's why I love hosting a link party.

I also want to share another wonderful workshop I signed up for taking place March 28-Apr 1:

This is a five-day FREE online workshop featuring 39 Cricut Craft demonstrations by some very talented creators. All of the details can be found here. If you own a Cricut (or another digital cutting machine because the workshop files are usually SVGs that work on multiple machines), are considering one and want to see what you can do with them, it's a great FREE way to learn some things.

Now, let's take a look at some ideas from last week's party!

With Easter approaching, these stunningly elegant Wood Eggs from The House on Silverado are a must check out!

Likewise, this Tobacco Basket Makeover from Artsy Va Va is perfect for Easter or Spring decor!

But first, St. Patrick's Day and this fun batch of Leprechaun Bait from Our Tiny Nest looks like tons of fun to make!

Finally, these Chocolate Dipped Peanut Butter Shamrock Cookies from Me and My Inklings make a great treat for Leprechauns big and little!

Thank you to everyone who linked up and can't wait to see what you've been up to this week.

Happy Friday Eve all and welcome to another gathering of creatives showing off what they've been up to. We're in full on Halloween and Harvest mode now with Christmas starting to make its appearance in all of our favorite stores.

Candy Corn has become the Peeps debate of Fall. Either you love it or hate it when it comes to eating it but for decorating, it screams Fall and Halloween so check out this wonderful garland from Artsy Va Va!

Fall is the perfect time for Caramel Apples and would you believe these are FAUX Caramel Apples? See Fresh Vintage by Lisa S for the details!

More fun ways to decorate with faux fruit can be seen at Master Pieces of My Life with Ways to Decorate with Pears!

This is such a fun idea for a Fall party "Donut Be Tricked" from Satsuma Designs!

Thanks to everyone who linked up and let's see what you've been up to this week!

Happy SEPTEMBER everyone! Can you believe it? I can't. Three weeks post surgery today and not gonna lie...taking longer than I hoped to get back to full speed. I have to remember that while I'm young at heart, that heart is in a body a little bit older than it was when I last had surgery. Thankfully pain is pretty much gone but I get tired easily and fall asleep like a narcoleptic! Tired by restless is a weird combination.

Best possible medicine was a visit from PhD man last week who cooked and tutored Mr. Chocolate in cooking and we managed to get out of the house a couple of times although still being cautious because of Delta.

So for now, still not really spending any time creating but itching too, especially with Halloween next month! In the meantime, let's take a look at some of the great ideas shared at last week's party!

Fall through Christmas crafting season is my favorite time of the year. What better way to welcome September and Fall than this beautiful Wheat and Grass Wreath from Howling Liz?

Also perfect for Fall is this beautiful Beaded Fall Garland from Artsy Va Va! Beaded garlands are very popular right now.

"Love me" some Dollar Store finds. And these reversible Fall and Halloween Pumpkins from Life as  A LEO Wife are GENIUS!!

Finally, I have been a cheeseburger fiend since childhood and my number one favorite as a kid was going to White Castle. There was just something abut the size that made them special. Now, sliders are everywhere and The Kitchen Is My Playground has a great way to make them at home.

Thanks to everyone who linked up and let's see what everyone's been up to this week!

Happy Friday Eve all and I hope everyone had a safe and happy Fourth of July. It was a late night for us because the illegal fireworks people were shooting off did not agree with the dog nor she with them so it was a "howler" of a night. Given the high fire danger here in the desert that was also a concern but fortunately, all is well.

I also had a chance this week to create something for my new office and because I've had interest in the coffee filter flowers I used in this Oversized Floral Wreath, I will be doing a future tutorial on how to make them so stay tuned!

Let's take a look at some of the creative projects shared at last week's party!

Who grew up with one of these Better Homes and Gardens Cookbooks? I know they've updated but this looks so familiar and everyone I know had one of these in their family kitchen. Lisa, from Fresh Vintage by Lisa S took one and altered it, making it fun while keeping the nostalgic feel.

If you have a fireplace you don't actively use, Kathleen from Our Hopeful Home has a wonderful way to cover it using a beautiful Botanical Print.

Artsy Va Va shared yet another STUNNING piece of furniture she made over. Just GORGEOUS!!

Finally, on a hot Summer day, what's better than lemonade except this delicious looking Frosted Lemonade from the Lou Lou Girls?!

Thank you to everyone who linked up and let's take a look at what you've been up to this week!
