BFF Open House

We are in the home stretch Makers! My best present and the one I want the most in the whole world is on his way. Son and Granddog are headed this way and can't wait until they get here.

Every time I mail cards I hold my breath in suspense until one of the recipients confirms receipt because the Post Office can sometimes hate me for my thicker than normal cars. Whew! This week I shared the Christmas cards I made this year along with some last minute Peppermint Gnome candle additions to my Hot Chocolate Bar.

You all have been quite busy so let's take a look at some of the wonderful things shared at last week's party!

Fresh Lisa by Lisa S shared a way to bring even more vintagey goodness to bottlebrush trees using faucet handles! Love.

The DIY Dreamer shared a wonderful way to create ornaments from old light bulbs (I've also seen lightbulb ornaments).

Brilliant! We've seen doll houses transformed into Haunted Houses but Jennifer from Studio 27 has taken it to a whole 'nother level by making a Gingerbread House! Genius.

Finally, given my husband's Norwegian background and my own ties to Denmark, I really need to make this one year. This is a traditional Danish Christmas dessert shared by Lazy Budget Chef. We do have a tradition of Nisse gifts so I really should make this for Nisse night which we celebrate on 12/23!

OK. Now let's see what everyone's been up to this week!

BFF Open House

Happy Friday Eve all! Not sure what went sideways w/ last week's party other than I tried putting it up under the new Blogger and some things worked and others didn't. So...doing this one under the old Blogger. Hope you've all had a peaceful week and are staying safe and masked up!

Liz from Howling At The Moon shared this beautiful crocheted Neo Herringbone Bag. Who can't ue an extra reusable bag! Pattern at link.

Unique Creations by Anita shared a way to transform a "seen better days" plastic statue to look like granite, complete w/some tricks to patch it up if needed. I'm thinking ahead to Halloween and a great way to transform some pieces into a more sophisticated Gothic look.

Christine from The DIY Dreamer shared a beautiful bracelet that her daughter Gabrielle made as part of the gifts she's making for family members. I love the colors she chose and the way it turned out. Looks like the creative apple didn't fall far from the tree !

Finally, July will always be "Harry Potter" month for me. Each year, I look forward to the wonderful creations so many makers come up with to celebrate. These Butterbeer Cupcakes from Marilyn's Treats are no exception!

Now, let's see what you've all been up to this week and thanks for coming!

BFF Open House

Happy Friday Eve all. I had to remind myself what day it was since Monday was my last day of work! Still early in the journey of figuring out my next chapter, but so far, so good! Hope you've had a good week, are taking good care , washing your hands and masking up when going out!

Let's take a look at some features from last week's party.

The DIY Dreamer shared this fabulous 3D Barn Quilt made from wood. The color combinations are endless and what a great piece of wall art!  I'm also sharing a pic of the pre-painted but finished version because I love it just in plain wood too!

Artsy Va Va shared another wood project in her gorgeous style, this one patriotic themed in red white and blue:

Both  the name of this card "Something Old, Something New" and the card itself caught my eye given that I've left something old, and figuring out something new, plus the gorgeous coloring of the image Linda from Paper Seedlings did!

Finally, I think this dessert from The Kitchen Is My Playground is aptly named: Coconut Yum Yum looks yummy indeed!

Now, let's see what everyone's been up to this week!

BFF Open House

Happy Friday Eve all! I know the days run together especially as we've been staying home but how did it get to be the end of April already?! Hope everyone had a good week and is staying safe and healthy.

Let's take a look at some ideas from last week's party!

This DIY wood flower basket is made from....PAINT STICKS. I think the hardware stores figured out that crafters love paint sticks because I know I've seen them at both Home Depot and Lowes in packages for sale. From The DIY Dreamer and perfect for Mother's Day.

Another great wood project is this very cool black and white Wall Hanging from Unique Creations By Anita. So many color combination possibilities!

Stencils aren't just for walls or furniture! Check out how Lisa from Fresh Vintage by Lisa S used on on a Flannel Shirt!

I have been seeing more recipes combining sweet and savory and/or using herbs in things you wouldn't normally associate with them. These Chocolate and Basil Muffins from Claire Justine look AMAZING!

Now let's see what you've all been up to this week!

BFF Open House Link Party

Happy Friday Eve and not sure how it's already the end of January already. Hope you've all had a creative week and those of you watching the big "Sportsball" game are ready.

Let's take a look at some ideas from last week's party!

Even if you think you're not a jewelry maker, you can make this cute Valentine's Charm Necklace shared by The DIY Dreamer. How fun would these be for Moms, Sisters, Daughters Grandmas etc.? So many possibilities and easy to find supplies!

Another fun thing to make for yourself or to give as a gift ( Galentine's / Valentine's Day) is a lip scrub like this DIY Orange and Brown Sugar one from Kiku Corner.  They are so great for exfoliating and getting that dead skin off, making your lips ready for moisturizing and of course, kissing!

I see lots of creative Hot Cocoa bars around the holidays and love this Chocolate 'n Chintz Valentine's Coffee Corner from Love My Little Cottage . There's something for everyone. Coffee lovers, chocolate lovers, neither, both!

And finally, wouldn't these Valentine's Sugar Cookies be perfect in that Coffee Corner? From Two Chicks and a Mom

OK now let's see what you've all been up to this week!
