BFF Open House Happy Thanksgiving

First of all, whether you're celebrating Thanksgiving, Friendsgiving, or flying solo this year, I'm thankful that each week you all choose to spend a little time here sharing your talent and creativity and hope you've had a peaceful day. As we gear up for peak Maker season, I also hope you remember to get some rest and practice self care!

Let's see some ideas from last week's party!

Lisa from Fresh Vintage by Lisa S shared a fabulous way to use gift bags as art. There are so many beautiful ones out these days in every style and color palette!

I think most of us have made paper snowflakes in our lives but Priyam from Simple Joys has taken this idea to an elegant grown up level with these paper medallions. A bunch of these as a garland or hanging from a light fixture would transform a space into a Winter Wonderland! You also need to see her paper Christmas Trees!

I'm old school and still make all my Christmas and Hanukkah cards and always appreciate the beauty of a handmade card, such as this one from Linda at Paper Seedlings. Layered with multiple elements, this is one that the recipient will truly feel special to receive.

Finally, these Rose Frosted cookies from Family Cookie Recipes are so elegant and pretty. I need to up my cookie game!

OK now that you're stuffed, let's see what you've been up to this week!

BFF Open House

Hi all and how is it the end of May already?! This is about the time of year I start thinking "oh I have plenty of time to work on holiday gifts" and time then goes at warp speed. Hope everyone's had a good week!

Let's see some ideas from last week's party. Once again, I thank you all for choosing to share your creations here each week!

As a maker, I go through different phases of obsession w/ different materials. Right now, I've rediscovered my love of fibers and absolutely love this Table Runner from Yarn Scissors Silk. It's a great way to use up all those bits you just can't bring yourself to part with!

Love this framed DIY Moroccan Tile inspired Wall Art from Kippi At Home. These are just my colors but think of all the possibilities! There may even be a free SVG file involved but you'll just have to go see.

There are card tables and then there are Card Tables. How much fun is this one? From Whispers of the Heart. The Queen of Hearts would be very jealous!

Finally, look at these bite size bits of perfection in these Reeses Chocolate Chip Cookie Cups from Family Cookie Recipes

Now, let's see what everyone's been up to this week!

BFF Open House Link Party

Happy Friday Eve all! Whew. Another week gone by  just like that. Hope it was a good one for you. Let's take a look at some wonderful ideas from last week's party shall we?

Whether for Easter specifically or Spring Decor in general, these decoupaged eggs from Craftify My Love are a great touch of Spring.

Tassels are everywhere from jewelry to all kinds of accessories. Domestic Bliss Squared has a great DIY tutorial to make these Layered Tassels so you can make as many as you like in all the colors you love!

When people tease me about all the stuff I make, I joke that I have a "Martha Stewart Personality Disorder" because I'd rather DIY. Martha and I part ways though when it comes to gardening. Just never took to it. So this post from Repurpose and Upcycle on how to incorporate Air Plants into decor is right up my alley because I don't think even I can kill these. I bought some old sugar molds at a Junk Show that are screaming for these!

With Girl Scout Cookie season over, you don't have to wait until next year to get your Thin Mint fix. Family Cookie Recipes has got you covered with these Homemade Thin Mints.

Now let's see what everyone's been up to this week! Hoping this works smoothly as INLINKZ has switched over to a new format so bear with me if you can't link up right away!

BFF Open House Link Party

Happy Friday Eve all! Hope you've survived the week. I have, barely, but fortunately taking tomorrow off and told my day job to lose my cell number.

Let's see some projects from last week's party!

I am a total coffee queen. So this coffee tray from Lisa at Fresh Vintage by Lisa S definitely caught my eye! Love!

If you've seen teal pumpkins in the stores it's not just because it's a fun color to play with . Teal pumpkins let your Trick or Treaters know that you have non-food options available to them. This is a very important thing for those with food allergies and makes Halloween more inclusive for children who have them. Learn more and check out these ideas at Kippi At Home

Do you have something on hand that you would love to make into something else? Using a mold is an easy way to do that. Sheri, from Hazel and Gold Designs shows you how to use a silicone putty to do just that!

Finally, how cute are these Spiderweb Cookies from Family Cookie Recipes

Now, let's see what you've been up to this week!

BFF Open House Link Party : Chocoholic Edition

Happy Friday Eve all. Hope the week has been good to you. There were some really delicious chocolate ideas shared at last week's party and it's been a while since I did a chocolate themed post so here we go!

First up, how about this Ice Cream Cone Cake from Mrs. Kringle's Kitchen. Layers of wafer cookies and ice cream, enrobed in a delicious chocolate coating!

Next, love Snickers? Love cheesecake? How about a Snickers Cheesecake from Marilyn's Treats? I think I'll have to make this for Mr. Chocolate since Snickers is his favorite candy bar.

If you want S'mores but don't necessarily want to do them outside, check out these S'more Brownie Bowls from A Sprinkle of Joy

Finally, chocolate and caramel are always a winning combination and these Chocolate Caramel Cake Mix Cookies from Family Cookie Recipes are no exception. Look at that ooey gooey caramel middle!

Hope you've enjoyed these. I'll "mix" things up again next week.

Now let's see what you've been up to !

BFF Open House Link Party

Happy Friday Eve all. Welcome to another party here at The Answer Is Chocolate.

Happy to say we have found a place of our own here in Arizona and looking forward to having my own creative space once again in the not too distant future. Not only that but it is a blank slate that I will be able to play with and probably have more ideas in my head than I'll have time for!

Let's see some ideas from last week's party!

Let's start with these fab yard sale finds, made over into these gorgeous chairs from Artsy Va Va.  The combination of chalk paint and image transfers is a winning combination!

Next up is also a chair makeover just not the way you'd think. Lisa from Fresh Vintage By Lisa S found a curbside freecycle chair that wasn't usable as a chair. Being resourceful, she broke it down and used the salvageable parts to make TWO great projects, the first one the business card holder shown above.

She used another piece to make this background for a bud vase holder. And she has pieces left over for more ideas!

With 4th of July approaching, these Patriotic Swirl cookies from Family Cookie Recipes would be a wonderful addition to any picnic basket or dessert table.
