BFF Open House

Happy Friday Eve all! We enjoyed spending last week with our son and getting to know his neighborhood, which is FILLED with lots of wonderful local shops. Picked up a handmade ornament for my Mom, some new Christmas items, ate some great food and just enjoyed being together.

Started working on some fun additions to "the boys" Christmas tree. Father and son have had a tradition of decorating their own tree since, while they love our big main tree, it's too formal and they've had one to make more fun. But our kids grow and live on their own, and even though we were fortunate to have him be able to come for Christmas all through undergrad and grad school, it's been more reality-based the past few years between COVID and work and I finally got permission to let me play with that tree. Next week I'll share a few of the new things I'm making for it which are fun, sentimental, and easy!

Thanks for understanding about last week's party w/out features. For some reason I wasn't able to get picture links to work from our hotel. So let's take a look at some Fall and Christmas ideas from last week's party!

Charleston Crafted shared a DIY Pumpkin Vase using a carveable pumpkin which you should be able to pick up for a steal right now since Fall stuff is heavily discounted. Great for your own centerpiece or host/hostess gift!

Master Pieces of My Life has a BRILLIANT Dollar Tree Hack to make this Sherpa Pumpkin! Seriously...BRILLIANT!

Printables remain the easiest high-impact decor item and Hunny I'm Home DIY has a pair of Thankful Printables available, FREE to download. Print. Frame. Done!

Finally, if you're working on Christmas projects, these Wood Christmas Stars from Steph Creates are a must to check out!

Thanks to all who linked up and can't wait to see what you've been up to this week!

EEK! We're halfway to Halloween! Hopefully by the time this party opens I will have this infernal immobilizer off of my knee and can sit back at my desk and work on more than Procreate. Like so many of us, I am better at taking care of others than being sidelined myself and this not being able to get up and go is a real challenge for me. BUT, I'm ever thankful to have an attentive husband, caring Mom and friends!

I shared another Fall Themed Printable here the theme of which is "change is beautiful" something that is often hard for me!

OK let's take a look at some of the ideas from last week's party to consider yet for Spooky Season and Fall!

Hunny I'm Home DIY shared this AWESOME Skull Vase made from a simple Dollar Tree skull!

Charleston Crafted shared a creative way to use Candy Corn in decor with this stunning Fall Vase.

Crazy Little Love Birds shared a wonderfully fun and GREEN craft with these Recycled Cardboard Halloween Bookmarks. Fun and functional!

"Black Velvet" seems to be a trend this year so these Witches Brew Cupcakes from 3 Boys and a Dog are perfect!

Thanks to everyone who linked up and can't wait to see what's in store this week!

Happy October and Happy Friday Eve Creative Peeps! Like everyone else, I'm thinking of all of the people affected by Hurricane Helene and if you were impacted, I hope that you are safe and dry. Growing up in earthquake country, I've never been through one except getting out ahead of Andrew on a business trip years ago and that was scary enough.

Once again, time's done its thing and we're at the end of the year again already. Lots to do. I shared some more printables I had fun making in Procreate and combining files from Creative Fabrica. These have a literary twist! You can see them here along with the download link.

Let's take a look at some of the seasonal fun shared at last week's party!

Fresh Vintage by Lisa S shared a wonderful way to use old wood spools and turn them into festive Pumpkin Placecards

Handmade Weekly shared her transformation of a store bought candle into a Spooky Halloween Candle. I really need a laser tool!

Hunny I'm Home DIY shared a fabulous take on tomato cage projects with these DIY Witches!

Finally, Recipes Simple shared these wonderfully festive Spider Donuts that are perfect for Spooky Season!

Thanks to everyone who linked up. Can't wait to see what you've been up to this week!

Happy Friday Eve all! Hope you've had a great week. Temps are starting to come down here in the high desert. My new normal is, Fall is under 90 degrees! Been a busy week with unexpected news last week that my Mom needed a pacemaker which she got yesterday and made it through like a champ. So that's been my week! Hope you've all had a good one!

We're definitely in "Spooky Season" mode...full swing! So let's take a look at a few ideas from last week's party!

Charleston Crafted share this wonderfully creepy DIY Halloween Candy Bowl. Inspired by one seen at West Elm and looks like it could have come from there!

Equally perfect for Fall is this Fall Farmhouse Wreath shared by Hunny I'm Home DIY

Crazy Little Love Birds shared this DIY Fun Halloween Art. Fun to make for yourself or as a gift.

Finally, if you're looking for a creeptacular dessert for the Halloween season, these Blood and Glass Pudding Cups from Ann's Entitled Life are perfect!

Happy Friday Eve again already because where did this week go and what did I get done besides not much?! Not because I was busy with something but because I have no clue where this week went.

I do have another workshop I signed up for that I'm excited about and thought I'd share. With the holidays approaching and peak gift giving time, if you have a Cricut you underuse or have been thinking about getting one, here's a wonderful opportunity to learn more. I have no connection to this other than I've taken previous workshops hosted by Abbi and they're always fantastic!

Sign up for FREE here

It will include "50+ inspiring handmade Cricut gift projects, card, bow, and wrapping workshops for all skill levels"

I did share my DIY Haunted House, made with two Dollar Tree signs and a wood base from DT.

Now, let's take a look at some great ideas shared at last week's party!

Happiest of Friday Eves all. Over the moon because our son arrives today for a visit. When your adult child lives in another state and has their own adult responsibilities, any time you get to see them is indeed a treat worthy of Christmas/Birthday/Favorite Holiday rolled into one!

It's been a busy month at Casa Chocolate so far with Mr. Chocolate returning from a road trip to visit his Dad and now getting to see our son. Unfortunately he came back with an aggravated back so I didn't get time to make anything this week.

Loved, as always, seeing all the wonderful ideas shared at last week's party so here are a few ideas!

Steph Creates shared this Dollar Tree Round Floral Hanging Farmhouse Decoration using one of my favorite quotes.

Back to school season is here and germs go back to school too so Hunny I'm Home DIY has the perfect BTS Teacher Hand Sanitizer Gift complete with a free printable!

Life of Two Snowbirds has a great idea to preserve vacation memories with this Beach Vacation Sand Art

Finally, here's a great way to get some veggies into a treat. Our Tiny Nest shared this yummy looking Chocolate Espresso Zucchini Bread.

Thank you to everyone who linked up and can't wait to see what you've been up to this week! Have a fabulous weekend all.

Happy Friday Eve All! July is chugging along and is it me or is Halloween stuff hitting stores even earlier this year? JoAnn and Michaels have tons of stuff in store and online and I just read something about Target getting theirs so I have to pop in and peek! Michaels has a great deal going on right now with 40% off all regular online prices. Ask me how I know? 😂

This week I shared some gifts I sent along with Mr. Chocolate for his dad and a friend. They live at the ocean which was the inspiration for them. Ocean Inspired Jewelry Gifts

Speaking of the ocean, Coastal Bohemian shared a great post with Ten Things to Do With Driftwood. It's Summer Beach season in so many places so take advantage of free craft supplies!

Two loves in one. A great Printable and Coffee! From Hunny I'm Home DIY

Simple Everyday Mom shared a fun thing to do with littles and grands with this Panda Handprint Craft!

It's a S'More. It's a Cookie. It's a S'Mookie! From Recipes Simple , Peanut Butter S'Mores Cookies

Great ideas as always and I can't wait to see what you've got in store this week.
