BFF Open House #231

The Answer Is Chocolate

Happy Friday eve! Hope you all had a fabulous Halloween. I can't believe we're headed towards Thanksgiving, Hanukkah and Christmas so quickly. I was in Michaels on Halloween and there was hardly any Fall stuff in sight. This week's features are a combination of holiday goodness.

This is a two-fer. Pin this fun bracelet for next year's Halloween or as you'll see over at ArtsyVaVa's blog, you can make for other seasons or no seasons at all and make as a holiday gift.

Here's another idea that is perfect as is but also adaptable for gift giving ( I'm thinking how cute would these be for the little one's to make for grandparents!)  Visit The Practical Mom blog for the details.

Doreen from Altered Artworks has a wonderful thrifted project that's perfect for a Fall Front Porch.

Christmas will be here before we know it so if you want to get ahead of things and make some Christmas cards, visit Paper Seedlings for this fun quilted card.

OK now on to this week's party !

The Answer Is Chocolate

Happy Friday Eve all! How is it possible it's the last full week of September? It's officially Autumn and I can't wait to start decorating for Fall holidays!  Here are some highlights from last week's party!

Nothing says Fall to me like copper, whether it's the metal itself or the color. These fun DIY copper earrings from Jewelry Making Journal are perfect for crisp cool Fall days.

Here's a wonderful way to welcome Fall along with houseguests, new neighbors or just a fun gift for friends or family. A DIY  wood Pumpkin box from the lovely ladies at Lou Lou Girls. Wouldn't this also make a fun trick or treat box?

You have GOT to check out this painted window from Artsy VaVa! I am in swooning love with it.

And with Fall bringing an explosion of pumpkin recipes, how about these pumpkin chocolate chip cookies from One Little Project At A Time?

OK let's see what everyone's been up to this week!

The Answer Is Chocolate

Happy Friday Eve all! September is speeding by just like all the prior months have . Can't believe we are halfway through the month already! Fall is definitely in the air so here are some inspiring ideas from last week's party!

This is a wonderful sign ( love the gold glitter letters) to welcome Fall and have up all season. Becca at Tulips and Orchids has a great tutorial.

I love these pallet pumpkins from Alayna's Creations that are perfect for a front porch.

Here's a slightly different take on a gallery wall from Artsy VaVa....she's been doing needlepoint since she was a girl and has expanded her love for the art to picking up coordinated pieces at antique stores, tag sales, etc. to complete a needlepoint gallery wall.

This week's chocolate feature, just YUM! Mezzaluna ( half moon) Chocolate Covered Pastries from Woods of Bell Trees

Now on to this week's party!

The Answer Is Chocolate

Happy Friday Eve all! Hard to believe this is the last party of July but here we are. Here are some fun links from last week's party I think you'll enjoy.

I adore this gorgeous table from Artsy VaVa. Just love it. The crispness of the orange flower against the white backdrop just brings a happy to my face!

I have always wanted an armillary (aka metal orb thingie) but they can be sooooo pricey. I love this idea from Engineer Mommy (who lives up to her name) who came up with a genius alternative.

Now that College Boy is Mr. Future PhD, I'm a little nostalgic for the days of back to school. Alayna's Creations has a lovely idea for a Back to School Mom's Brunch. Speaking of which, this week's chocolate feature would be a perfect addition :

Brownie Sundae Cookies from Upstate Ramblings. YUM!

Now on to this week's fun!

BFF Open House Link Party #205

The Answer Is Chocolate

I blink and it's Friday eve again. Seriously I am living the movie Groundhog Day which will continue for a while and I want to thank you all for continuing to link up despite the fact that I have had NOTHING to share on the blog lately :(

Some fun ideas from last week's party!

Heather from Woods of Bell Trees just never runs out of brilliant ideas. I mean never. Would you have guessed that these gorgeous cups were made using temporary tattoos? I have seen these tattoos when I manage to make it out of my home office  lately but  would not have thought of putting them on drinkware!

I think those tattooed cups would look great on this coffee table tray from 24 Cottonwood Lane. How crisp and fresh is this?

I adore this end table makeover from Kris at Aurora Patina! You really have to see the table she started with to get this incredible result. Tres chic!

OK I have a spoiled rotten dog but this pet bed from Artsy VaVa takes things to an entirely new level. It has a CHANDELIER...a chandelier people. Again, you need to go see the before to be even more impressed with the after.

OK now on to this week's party!

BFF Open House Link Party #201

The Answer Is Chocolate

Happy Friday Eve all. Hope everyone had a wonderful and lucky St. Patrick's Day! Easter will be upon us before you know it. Here are some ideas from last week's party to pin and try!

While we've had a mild Winter, I know most of the country is more than ready for Spring. Artsy VaVa has a perfect way to get ready with this Spring wreath.

With Spring and more outdoor sports and play, boo boos are bound to happen. A Creative Princess shared these adorable "Boo Boo Bunny" ice packs. Who wouldn't feel better immediately with one of these?

This wood bead garland from Woods of Bell Trees would be perfect for a Spring mantle or draped around anything. I love the combination of the wood beads and mini lights.

This week's chocolate feature is from Gator Mommy Reviews . Classic chocolate and peanut butter combo. Perfection.

BFF Open House Link Party #195

The Answer Is Chocolate

Happy February everyone. 2015 is clearly going to move at a rapid pace! Valentine's Day is just about a week away. It seems like it was just Christmas doesn't it? Let's see some LOVEly ideas fom last week's party!

Julia from Always Ruetten shared her adorable lovebird wreath. So cute!

I know I said this when I featured Artsy VaVa's last iteration of the evolving chair ( and maybe even the iteration before that) but everytime I think she's done, NOPE! Look at the Valentine's version!!!

I also love the simplicity of this felt garland from The Gracious Wife . I think the berry beads between each heart really make it pop!

Finally, these peanut butter chocolate heart cookies from The Pin Junkie  would be a perfect addition to your Valentine's treats!

Now let's see what you've been up to this week!

BFF Open House Link Party #191

The Answer Is Chocolate

Happy Friday Eve and hope you all had a wonderful first full week of 2015!  I'm already thinking this year is going to fly by faster than the last which seems to be the case with each passing year?  Once again, fun ideas shared at last week's party so here are a few features:

I previously shared Artsy Va Va's reincarnation of her evolving chair and she shared yet another step on this chair's journey.

Monogram and letter wall art is so on trend right now and Charm Bracelet Diva At Home has a fantastic roundup of ideas. I really want to do a marquee lighting project this year.

I love coffee ( understatement) and we eat a lot of chicken but I never thought of putting the two of them together so this is on my to try list: Coffee Rubbed Chicken Breast from Lemons and Laughs

Since it's freezing just about everywhere, I imagine copious amounts of hot chocolate are being consumed. You will want to give this twist ( which is this week's chocolate feature) a try:

Nutella Hot Chocolate from Classy Yet Trendy. Yum!!

No onto this week's party!

BFF Open House Link Party #188

The Answer Is Chocolate

Hi all, welcome to another party here at The Answer Is Chocolate. The countdown to Hanukkah and Christmas continues . Hope those of you dealing with Northeast storms are holding up. We here in the PNW are bracing for a doozy of a windstorm tonight so hoping the power stays on!

Here are some features from last week's party!

I love paper. I love roses. I love paper roses...you get the picture. So does Kelly at The Moon and Me who made these gorgeous rolled paper rose trees. So pretty.

These vintagely delicious Altered Readers Digest Books from Artsy VaVa would go perfectly with Kelly's trees.

The always genius Mich in LA has a fantastic idea using vintage brooches. You'll have to visit her blog for the secret ingredient she used for the background of these fun ornaments.

This week's chocolate feature looks good enough to eat but is not edible...Chocolate candles! How cute are these? Cost is even better. Head over to The Pin Junkie to find out more.

Now on to this week's party!

BFF Open House Link Party #186

The Answer Is Chocolate

Welcome to the post turkey naptime edition of the BFF Open House. Hoping everyone had a fabulous feast, and those of you braving the crowds tomorrow are well rested and fortified.

We are in full on December holiday mode now. Here are some features from last week's party.

I want this chair that Artsy Va Va made over. I wanted the chair it was before she made it into a Christmas chair. I love everything from the ornaments to the shabby chic goodness of the legs and arms!

Loving this woodland wreath from Made In A Day using embroidery hoops.

For a new twist on snowglobes made from jars, put a car in it. Visit 24 Cottonwood Lane for the details.

Gather miscellaneous votives or jars and tie them together with gold leaf to make a festive display perfect for Christmas or Hanukkah. See the guys at Crafty Lumberjacks to learn how.

This week's chocolate feature is courtesy of  The Pin Junkie

You're welcome !

Now on to this week's party :
