BFF Open House

Hello and Happy St. Patrick's Day Eve! Seen any Leprechauns about?  I wish everyone good luck in finding a pot of gold! I also want thank whoever created Allegra aka fexofenadine because having been put on it almost a week ago has been my personal pot of gold! You never realize how ick you've felt until you feel better, ya know?

May even venture out to a handmade market this weekend! Let's take a look at some of the ideas from last week's party, first!

With Easter on the horizon, now's the time to start making some beautiful eggs like these Decoupaged Eggs from Blue Sk At Home. So pretty!

Here's another gorgeous take on eggs...Stamped Clay! Shared by Saved From Salvage

What Easter meal wouldn't be made even better with this Black Pepper Foccacia from Foodnutters

Finally, Mr. Chocolate keeps going on about a "green thing" an Aunt of his made for family gatherings that was not nearly as pretty or elegant as this Pistachio Lush Dessert from The Kitchen Is My Playground. This might serve in its place!

Thank you to everyone who linked up and let's see what you've been up to this week!

BFF Open House

Greetings all and happy Friday Eve. March is marching and we're about a week out from St. Patrick's Day. Not that we go out exactly but still...fun to be on the lookout for Leprechauns, right? I won't bore you with more tales of allergies laying me out.

I got a lovely boost to my foggy-headed mood when Amanda from Hometalk let me know that they're featuring my Dollar Tree Wood Bead Wreath in an upcoming newsletter. It's always lovely to be recognized and know that something you created inspired someone, isn't it? That's why I love hosting a link party.

I also want to share another wonderful workshop I signed up for taking place March 28-Apr 1:

This is a five-day FREE online workshop featuring 39 Cricut Craft demonstrations by some very talented creators. All of the details can be found here. If you own a Cricut (or another digital cutting machine because the workshop files are usually SVGs that work on multiple machines), are considering one and want to see what you can do with them, it's a great FREE way to learn some things.

Now, let's take a look at some ideas from last week's party!

With Easter approaching, these stunningly elegant Wood Eggs from The House on Silverado are a must check out!

Likewise, this Tobacco Basket Makeover from Artsy Va Va is perfect for Easter or Spring decor!

But first, St. Patrick's Day and this fun batch of Leprechaun Bait from Our Tiny Nest looks like tons of fun to make!

Finally, these Chocolate Dipped Peanut Butter Shamrock Cookies from Me and My Inklings make a great treat for Leprechauns big and little!

Thank you to everyone who linked up and can't wait to see what you've been up to this week.

Happy Friday Eve and happy MARCH! Yikes. The transition from January to February never evokes any real emotions for me. But from February to March just seems so seem so much more extreme. Then again, woke up to SNOW in the desert this morning so I'm completely confused about what season it is.

Nothing new to share this week. Weather inconsistencies have my allergies and asthma sucking all of my energy. It's weeks like this that I especially love looking at everyone's creations. So here we go!

Given what's outside my window, this GORGEOUS Deer In a Clearing card from Paper Seedlings is perfect!

Who doesn't love a good Dollar Tree upgrade project? I know I do and this one from Steph Creates is a perfect Winter to Spring transition.

This adorable Leprechaun Selfie Wreath from Creatively Beth is perfect for a St. Patrick's day get-together or perfect for a classroom!

Finally, how perfect for St. Patricks are these Irish Coffee Donuts from Cindy's Online Recipe Box?!

BFF Open House

Happy Friday Eve everyone. Hope you've had a wonderful and creative week. We've had some more wild weather by me with winds that made me look outside to see if  Dorothy's house from The Wizard of Oz was flying by! I was so productive last week that guess what? I was L A Z Y this week and didn't really make anything 😂.

I was however very honored to have my Rose Quartz Bracelet featured in Upstyle Daily's newsletter. If you're unfamiliar with the site and like DIY fashion and jewelry, you must check it out. It's a sister site, along with Foodtalk Daily, of Hometalk

Lots of great ideas were shared at last week's party. I love that creativity is something that will never be in short supply! Let's take a look at a few.

These Planter Vignettes from Bluesky at Home are perfect for St. Patrick's Day and Spring.

Living in the Southwest, how could I resist this Potted Cactus Scarf from Sew Crafty Crochet? Tonna's talents never cease to amaze me!

Have some pretty papers on hand you haven't used (not that I'd know ANYTHING about that!) Use them to make Wine Glass and Tealight Lampshades. Simple Joys will show you how.

Finally, and there's just something about bite-sized foods, these mini Chocolate Chess Pies from The Kitchen Is My Playground are the perfect dessert for any meal!

Happy mid-February Creative Peeps! I hope you all had a wonderful Valentine's and/or Galentine's Day filled with lots of love. Ours was low key and just right. I thought we were headed straight into Spring when much to my surprise, being in the high desert we got snow this week! Nothing major but I do live in Southern Arizona!

This week I shared three jewelry projects. Floral and Heart Earrings, a Rose Quartz Bracelet, and Galentine's/Girlfriends Gifts

Speaking of Spring, there were some GREAT ideas shared at last week's party so let's take a look at a few.

I love round-up posts like this one from Saved From Salvage: Ten Spring DIY Projects. Now's the perfect time to start!

Likewise, The House on Silverado shared Simple Table Centerpiece ideas for Spring.

Steph Creates, will have us running to the Dollar Tree to look for the supplies she used in this Springtime Round Wooden Hanging Floral piece she made!

And whether for Spring or anytime, Condo Blues has a fabulous collection of Bottle Cap Projects like this stunning wreath!

Thanks to everyone who linked up and let's see what you've been up to this week!

Jewelrymking: Galentine's Gifts

Best laid plans...I was supposed to have an annual Galentine's lunch with friends but work got in the way for one so we had to postpone. Nonetheless, I'll have their gifts ready for when we meet! Used up more of the two strands of Hildie and Jo Silver Beads from the earrings and bracelet I made for myself and enjoyed making things for friends that coordinate us all!anding

Supplies:
  • Hildie and Jo Silver Heart Beads (JoAnn)
  • Black Czech Crystal Beads (Stash)
  • Bead Landing "Fish Hook" Ear Wires
  • Jump Rings and Head Pins
  • Black Cardstock
  • Black Organza Bags

Strung a small black bead on the headpin, a silver heart, then the larger black bead and closed the loop. Then using a jump ring, attached the fish hook.

The process is the same for all earrings. As Makers, gift presentation is important, right? Using my Cricut Design Space subscription and my Cricut Explore Air, I cut out Earring Cards for the earrings.

I like using 110lb cardstock for these since it doesn't bend easily.

TIP: To keep the earrings in place on the card use a piece of washi tape on the back to hold them in place.

I wasn't quite finished! My go-tos for packaging jewelry gifts are Organza Bags. You can find them at craft or jewelry supply stores and sometimes, at Dollar Tree.

All ready to go!
