BFF Open House Link Party

Hi all and welcome to another party here at The Answer Is Chocolate. I don't know about you all but having a creative space is a welcome distraction from the world.

Let's see some of the ideas shared at last week's party. These just all worked together!

I love using book pages in projects including printing images on them. Lindasy from Simply September shared not only a great tutorial on how to print on book pages, but she also includes how to turn photos into sketches.

I love the vintagey goodness of this simple but impactful idea from Dara at Not In Jersey combining burlap and old keys into a piece of wall art. Love those keys!!

Speaking of keys , Artsy Va Va is back with another wonderful paint technique for this Key or Necklace holder.  I love the layered look with the smaller wood panel in the center.

Finally, I had to look twice ( or three times) at these Buffalo Plaid Jars because at first I thought they were fabric covered but it's paint! From Fresh Vintage By LisaS.

OK let's see what everyone's been up to this week!

BFF Open House Link Party Happy 2018 !

Welcome to the first BFF Link Party of 2018! Hope everyone had a safe, happy and healthy holiday season. We enjoyed having our son home for an extended break and now everyone's back to their routine.

Let's start the year off right with some creative inspiration!

This is a big organizing week, and who doesn't need a calendar? Lindsay from Simply September has got you covered with a slew of downloadable, printable calendars!

This is also the time of year for goal setting whether that's blog related, general life related or for a specific project. Planners are everywhere in every style and 3 Winks Design also has some great strategies for getting started on 2018 Goal Setting.

If you're thinking about tackling a BIG project this year like a room makeover or a house makeover, then Karianne from Thistlewood Farms has you covered because she did a TON of then in 2017 and has her top 10 to share.

Whatever you're planning for 2018, I look forward to seeing your creativity! Let's see what everyone's been up to so far ( me...not so much!).

BFF Open House Link Party

Home stretch friends! Christmas is four days away. Are you presents all wrapped ( not quite). Are your cookies baked (not yet). Do you have last minute crafts you're making? (maybe). Tell me I'm not alone!

There were some fun ideas shared at last week's party. Let's have a look at a few.

Loving this frosted Christmas tablescape from The Red Painted Cottage. Whether you live in a snowy place or not, it's a great way to bring the outside in or bring some winter to your table.

Simply September shared her gorgeous holiday pillow covers and the easy tutorial to make them. I used a similar tutorial to make pillow covers this year and was kicking myself for not doing this sooner! You can whip these up last minute or make a gift ( or pin for next year).

Anyone else find men's ideas a challenge? Grandma's House DIY has you covered with a DIY Men's Gift Basket.

Finally, Christmas wouldn't be Christmas without chocolate and mint right? Mrs. Kringle's Kitchen shared these fab cookies!

OK let's see what everyone's been up to this week!

BFF Open House Link Party

Happy Friday Eve once again! Sent my "baby" back to grad school this week to get ready for what will be his first year in the classroom as a TA working w/ undergrads. I am so thankful that we have a son who is off on his own as we raised him to be, but who also loves to come home and spend time with us!

Let's take a look at some of the great ideas shared at last week's party.

I love books and reading and always have, so it's no surprise that I would also love book crafts and decor featuring books. Simply September shared some great ideas about incorporating books and book pages into decor. Love!

The ladies from Lolly Jane shared a guest post from Pocket Full of Paint that I think is just stunning and looks like something you find in a pricey boutique. Check out this beautiful leather hanging. Not too early to start thinking of handmade gifts!

Speaking of handmade gift ideas, Artsy VaVa shared a great one. A DIY Dried Flower Phone Case! How cool is this?

Finally, while I'm featuring these adorable chocolate cupcakes from Nightchayde, you have to see the ADORABLE Woodland Shower these came from. Everything , from the invites, to the food, to the decor is too cute!

OK let's see what you've been up to this week!

Speaking of chic and rustic, how about these made over pots from The Navage Patch? Gorgeous.

Farmhouse looks are so popular right now and this wine nook from Simply September is fantastic.

BFF Open House Link Party

Happy Friday Eve and Happy March everyone! Been sidelined w/ a virus this week so haven't done much creatively except enjoy looking at your creations from last week's party. Here are a few ideas to share:

Let's start with this insanely FABULOUS Pottery Barn inspired knockoff from The Navage Patch. I'll take 2 please?!  A Silhouette was involved but not how you think!

Most of the wall decor in our home is DIY and even if you don't "create" it yourself , these days there are so many options where you can have it made easily and inexpensively. Jenny Louise Marie shared what she did with prints she ordered online.

Speaking of Wall Art, Simply September shared this DIY piece which I love for it's simplicity and sentiment.

This week's chocolate feature combines several favorites in one. Mr. Chocolate's favorite milkshake is hot-fudge banana so I think he'll like this one too. From The Young Mrs. blog.

Now on to this week's party!
