BFF Open House

Hellos and happy Friday Eve all. Hope you all had a nice Valentine's Day. We're low key V-Day people which I think happens when you've been married for 30 years! It was just our speed. Our favorite pizza and being with each other.

I do however love making Valentine's cards for friends and family so this week I shared the ones I made this year here: Layered Geometric Heart Valentine's Cards

Another week of creativity and inspiring projects shared by all of you so let's take a look at some of the wonderful ideas!

I've been fortunate to have a dedicated crafting space and I know not everyone is. Love My Little Cottage shared her joy at creating a multi-use space she now has where as she puts it she can "paint with abandon". It's beautiful!

How brilliant is this?! From The Apple Street Cottage, an ingenious way to use a pizza peel as the backdrop for a wreath! I love this so much and have a pizza peel we don't ever use.

I love a good upcycle. There's something so fulfilling about transforming something considered "trash" into a beautiful treasure. My Thrift Store Addiction shows us how to take spritzer cans and transform them int beautiful vases.

Finally, how YUM is this Chocolate Marble Quick Bread from Treat and Trick? So YUM!

Thank you to EVERYONE who linked up. I love seeing your creations each week. The world is a better place with creatives in it. Now let's see what everyone's been up to this week!

Happy FEBRUARY all! Yikes. Every January, I convince myself that the year won't fly by. Why do I lie to myself? Hope everyone had a great week and those of you hit by storms in the NE and Midwest are keeping warm. I know Texas is also in for it so hope you all are stocked up and warm too!

This week I shared a fun and easy variation on all the Faerie Gardens we're seeing and made a Gnome Garden! My other creative contribution this week was baking my Newfie a birthday cake! She acts like a human anyway. No worries...perfectly dog safe ingredients!

She did NOT get the whole thing at once! OK let's see a few of the wonderful ideas shared at last week's party, You all continue to let your creativity shine!

What perfect timing from Hello Sewing! We have a BIG girl who does what big dogs do which is to destroy dog toys. I keep sending the message out to the universe to dog toy companies that if they need a super chewer tester, I've got their girl. But in the meantime, these Repurposed Jeans Dog Bones look very promising!

This Valentine's Day plaque is just the thing to add a little Valentine's spirit to your decor. From The  Apple Street Cottage

I am always in awe of people who can take their thrifted finds and make beautiful tablescapes with them. This Valentine's Table from My Thrift Store Addiction is no exception!

Finally, whether you're looking for a Valentine's treat or just because, you can't go wrong with these Oreo Brownie Bars from The Kitchen Is My Playground

Thank you to everyone who linked up and shared their talents here. I hope you're all clicking on and visiting each others links. Now let's see what you've all been up to this week!

Happy Friday Eve all! Happy Christmas Eve Eve and in our house, it's Nisse Night which means the Scandinavian gnome like creature expects rice pudding, leaves small gifts, and depending on their mood, sometimes leaves sarcastic notes. It's a tradition I married and maybe added to ( eg the notes).

Hope you're all doing well. I'm almost panicking that everything's wrapped, stocking provisions are done, meals are planned, groceries have been gotten and I don't really have anything left to do but some cooking and baking. Son got here on Saturday and we've just been enjoying laying low and hanging out. A few presents I made I can't post until after Saturday so I haven't been sharing much this past week but have enjoyed seeing your most recent creations. So let's take a look at some highlights from last week's party that are all things you can still fit in!

Whether you need a creative package topper or you have little ones to entertain and want to do a quick craft, these Accordion Christmas Trees from White House Crafts are perfect!

At some point, we come into possession of vintage hankies either through inheritance or thrifting. The question is always what to do with them. This  Vintage Hankie Ornament idea from My Thrift Store Addiction is PERFECT and a great way to make a last minute keepsake gift for a family member. Who among us makers doesn't have extra clear ornaments in our stash?!

Another "fab, fast, and festive" idea for a last minute gift or package topper are these ornaments from Paper Seedlings. A great way to use up leftover scrapbooking paper!

Finally, there's always room for one more addition to the cookie table right? These Nutella Rum Balls from Pots and Planes are just the thing!

Wishing all who are celebrating a very ๐ŸŽ„Merry Christmas ๐ŸŽ„.

Happy Friday Eve all!  Hope everyone's having a great week and looking forward to a long weekend. Ours will be busy since we got our keys yesterday and let the moving Olympics begin. We're doing it ourselves because we have time so we can pace it accordingly but still...moving SUCKS! In between cleaning out stuff and packing I stole some time to whip up a pair of easy Hammered Silver Earrings because Michaels is my enabler.

Let's take a look at some wonderful ideas shared at last week's party!

I'm going to start off with a shout out of "Heck Yeah!" to Cecelia of My Thrift Store Addiction. As women, society places such an emphasis on our looks. And as we get older, that gets harder in a different way, at least it does for me. I'm never going to get cosmetic surgery (and I'm not judging...just saying it's not a thing for ME) or Botox or fillers etc. I do love makeup because the Creative in me sees my face as another surface to play with. But my main thing has been...coloring my hair. Something I've increasingly been thinking about stopping although I'm not quite there yet. Cecelia shared her hair journey in doing just that and I for one think she looks F A B U L O U S!!! I really want to affirm her decision because I know how hard it is to make. So "Hello Gorgeous!" and you are an inspiration.

Anita, from Unique Creations by Anita shared a different kind of tranformation...this gorgeous Vanity makeover using chalk paint. I need to update a couple of things for my new office and chalk paint is where I'm going!

Mary Jo from Master Pieces of My Life shared some beautiful ways to incorporate and display Sea Shells into your decor and maybe even bring back some special vacation memories!

Finally, when this move is done, I can see one of these in my future.  From Tracy at The Kitchen Is My Playground  A Sparkling Raspberry-Limoncello Cocktail. Refreshing!

Wishing all of you a safe and Happy Memorial Day weekend as we remember those who paid the ultimate sacrifice in honor of our country.

Hi all and hope everyone's had a great week! In advance, Happy Easter to everyone celebrating this weekend. Passover also comes to a close this weekend.

Let's jump straight into seeing some of the ideas from last week's party.

Unique Creations by Anita continues her Steampunk creations, the latest example of which is this Steampunk Gnome!

Cecelia from My Thrift Store Addiction shared this beautifully simple and perfect for Spring Moss Wreath.

Artsy Va Va shared these pretty Spring candles with a tutorial not only on how to decorate the outside, but how to make the inside!

Finally, check out these Chocolate Bunnies from Studio 27 by Jennifer Adams. Are they though? Chocolate that is...you tell me!

OK let's see what everyone's been up to this week!

Happy Friday Eve all! Hope those of you who have been dealing with frigid to sub-zero weather are keeping warm. Valentine's weekend is here and 2021 is moving quickly. Hard to believe it's been a year that we've been dealing with COVID isn't it? But Creatives that we are, we've been able to fill that time haven't we? Let's take a look at some of the ideas from last week's party!

The Little Yellow Corner Store shared this Warm and Cozy Valentine's Tablescape that truly lives up to its name!

Howling Liz is showing some love for our feathered friends with this pretty and practical Birdseed Heart. We have tons of quail around us who aren't exactly airborne but I love to watch them as they have their morning and evening conclaves.

Another beautiful tablescape, this time with Chocolate Truffles and Peonies, was shared by My Thrift Store Addiction. I love pulling together different pieces we have on hand and using them in creative ways.

Finally, Valentine's Day doesn't have to only be about chocolate ( Gasp! Can you believe I just said that?... Me?!) I am intrigued by this Garlic Lovers Jelly from Homemade on a Weeknight. I started using a Honey and Fig jam I picked up on burgers, grilled cheese, etc. and it was a game changer. I think this Garlic Lover's Jelly is one as well!

Thanks to all who linked up and let's see what you've all been up to this week!

Yikes! How is it the end of August already? I go from "this year is one long month" to "where did this year go" in the same breath. Spent the week organizing my craft room and even went through all of my paper scraps and "whimper" got rid of some. I am attached to every little piece and remember which card or project they're from. As Shakespeare said: "Parting is such sweet sorrow".
Took a break from Quilling ( although I did order some new quilling strips from Quilling.com and they ship FAST!) and re-purposed / stash busted a couple of things here.  OK! Let's see what everyone's been up to this week!

Mary Jo from Masterpieces of My Life shared this simple, elegant, and high impact Reindeer Moss Wreath. What a stunning piece!

Penny, from Penny's Treasures shared her GORGEOUS second gallery wall! I love how everything is tied together by color.

Living in the SW, and particularly in horse country, I see a lot of horse themed decor that can get pricey! Anita from Unique Creations by Anita has a great piece that fits right in!

Be still my chocoholic heart! Cecelia from My Thrift Store Addiction shared these Cake Mix and Candy Bar Donuts. It's not like I wanted to jump through the screen to get them or anything. Maybe. OK definitely.
Now, let's see what everyone's been up to this week!
