BFF Open House

Happy Chocolate Recovery Day aka the day after Valentine's Day. I hope if you celebrated, you had a LOVEly day. We're still recovering from COVID so it was low-key. We're longtime married and don't make too much of it anyway since we have made it a priority to express our love all the time.

This week I shared the Valentine's Day cards I made for family and friends. Life's uncertainties make it important to me to let the people I love, know.

Let's take a look at some of the great ideas shared at last week's party!

You have to check out this Nightstand Transformation from A Ray of Sunlight! Magnificent!

Sonata Home Design shared 29 Ways to Add Colorful Home Decor. Perfect as we get through often dreary months.

As much as love crafting tech, there's something to be said about analog techniques. This Double Stencil Tutorial from Try It Like It Create It, is one of those.

Finally, is there anything you can't make in an air fryer, including Red Velvet Cookies like these from the appropriately named Air Fryer Fanatics?

Thanks to everyone who linked up and can't wait to see what great inspiration you'll share this week!

Papercrafting: Valentine's Day Cards Sweetheart Day by Recollections

Recipents have received these, so now I can share this year's Valentine's Day cards I made for family and friends.

Supplies:
  • Sweetheart Day Valentine's Stack (Recollections, Michaels)
  • Pink Foil Cardstock (Recollections, Michaels)
  • Pink 110lb Cardstock (Recollections, Michaels)
  • Layered Cut File (Designbundles.net)
  • Digital Cutting Machine (Cricut Explore Air 2)
  • Tape Gun
  • Self Adhesive Rhinestones

I am hopelessly and forever  in love with new papers when they come out. So despite always having leftover papers from previous stacks, I see a new one and I'm like Doug the dog from "UP" when he sees asquirrel!

This collection has a combination of printed, glitter, and acetate papers. I used the white glitter sheets as the bottom layer and the pink foiled paper for the top. The image is from a mega bundle I bought during one of Designbundles.net Dollar Deals. I attached the two layers using foam squares.

I cut and scored the pink cardstock into 5x7 cards. Then used white cardstock, pieces of patterned paper and pieces of acetate from the collection as panels.

I love printed acetate! It gives a certain extra something. I am hoping to see more of it included in the future stacks I know I'll buy!

Creating, Cooking, and Cardmaking...how I show my love!

BFF Open House

Happy Friday Eve, Creative Peeps! Our track record of managing to avoid COVID unfortunately came to an end this week. Mr. Chocolate first, then me following by a couple of days. So far, not too bad and thankful we are up to date on our vaccines. We've been cautious because I'm high risk.

Jumping right to features.

Cardmaking remains my first love so seeing this Valentine's Card Making Station from Building Our Hive stole my heart!

Steph Creates shared this simple and fun Tissue Paper on Wood Valentine's Heart with supplies from Dollar Tree, her specialty.

Creatively Beth shared a pretty and sugar free idea with these Valentine's Themed Felt Fortune Cookies

Finally, Rose Bakes shared these glorious and Perfect Valentine's Brownies

Thanks to all who linked up and stay healthy!

Valentine's Decor: Dollar Tree LOVE Frames

This is the easiest project ever! I'm almost embarrassed to share it.

Supplies:
  • Dollar Store Silver Frames
  • Themed Scrapbook Paper (This is by American Crafts)
  • LOVE Wood Stickers
  • Foam Squares

I found these wood LOVE stickers at Dollar Tree, and picked up two of these 4x4 frames. The paper, I already had in my stash. I cut the paper to fit the frame size (so really 5x5) and then used the mat that came with the frames.

Once I reassembled the frame with the paper and the mat, then I added one of the LOVE stickers to the top of the glass using a foam square.

That's it!

I kept my entry table simple with two of these and some black velvet ribbon I got a JoAnn after Christmas for 70% off.

I had some wood heart stickers in my stash and stuck them to the candles that stay on this table. I'm actually surprised they've stayed stuck to the wax but they have and they're easily removed.

BFF Open House

FEBRUARY! Happy new month already. Happy Black History Month, Love Month, Cardiac Awareness Month, Mardi Gras Month and more! It's hard to believe we've already completed a full month of a new year. It's Bead and Gem Show season in Tucson which is HUGE. Numerous venues all over town, each one an experiences. People from all over the world come bringing gems, minerals, and stones also from all over the world. If there is something in this space that you're looking for and can't find it, it doesn't exist. I've been to three venues and going to another today.

Valentine's Day is just two weeks away and you've all been busy getting ready. Let's take a look at some of the awesome projects you've shared.

Master Pieces of My Life shared a collection of beautiful Tablescapes perfect for Valentine's Day!

If you have someone who LOVES reading, then check out these Valentine Heart Bookmarks from Sum of Their Stories

Fun a Day has some fabulous Straw Art ideas that are great for kids or adults!

Finally, how special would someone feel waking up to these Valentine's Biscuits from Walking on Sunshine? Yum!

Thank you to everyone who linked up and can't wait to see what you've been up to this week!

Valentine's Decor: Layered Heart Shadowbox

I love using my Cricut machines for holiday decor. My subscription to Creative Fabric is a win-win combination since I can always find a new layered image to use!

Supplies:
  • Shadow Box Frame (Michaels)
  • Seasonal Paper (Sweetheart Day, Recollections, Michaels)
  • White Cardstock
  • Pink Foil Cardstock (Recollections, Michaels)
  • Layered Heart File (Creative Fabrica)
  • Seasonal Stickers (Dollar Tree)
  • Foam Tape

I love these frames from Michaels and stock up on them whenever they have a BOGO. The 12x12 come two to a pack, so you get four for the price of two when they're on sale!

I picked up this Valentine's paper stack for Valentine's cards but made this first!

I chose this "LOVE" sheet from the pack to use as the backdrop, then uploaded the design I chose to Cricut Design Space, sized it, and cut the bottom layer from white cardstock, the middle from pink foil cardstock and the top from white.

Attached the layers using foam dots, then using foam tape, I attached to the background paper.

To finish, I added a sticker from a pack I picked up at Dollar Tree, then assembled in the frame.

It's sitting on the little table holding my Tiered Tray Vignette
