BFF Open House

Achoo! I mean Happy Friday Eve. Just a little allergy humor. While a lot of the country has been under snow and ice, allergens are kicking my behind here in the desert. So this week the most creative thing I've done this week is figure out which combination of allergy and sinus meds to take. I hope everyone else is having a good week!

As always, lots of wonderfully creative ideas shared at last week's party so let's take a look at a few!

Need some last minute Valentine's inspiration? Check out this beautiful Box of Roses idea from Studio 27 by Jennifer Adams! Beautiful.

Another great and easy way to decorate comes from Fresh Vintage by Lisa S with these Coffee Filter Hearts strung on a branch to make a Valentine's tree.

I've been wanting to get back into crocheting and this Baby Blanket with Pom Poms from Howling Liz is just perfect!

And finally, this Orange Ginger Vinaigrette from Homemade on a Weeknight looks and sounds so delicious!

Thanks to everyone who linked up. Now let's see what you've all been up to this week!

We are in the home stretch Makers! My best present and the one I want the most in the whole world is on his way. Son and Granddog are headed this way and can't wait until they get here.

Every time I mail cards I hold my breath in suspense until one of the recipients confirms receipt because the Post Office can sometimes hate me for my thicker than normal cars. Whew! This week I shared the Christmas cards I made this year along with some last minute Peppermint Gnome candle additions to my Hot Chocolate Bar.

You all have been quite busy so let's take a look at some of the wonderful things shared at last week's party!

Fresh Lisa by Lisa S shared a way to bring even more vintagey goodness to bottlebrush trees using faucet handles! Love.

The DIY Dreamer shared a wonderful way to create ornaments from old light bulbs (I've also seen lightbulb ornaments).

Brilliant! We've seen doll houses transformed into Haunted Houses but Jennifer from Studio 27 has taken it to a whole 'nother level by making a Gingerbread House! Genius.

Finally, given my husband's Norwegian background and my own ties to Denmark, I really need to make this one year. This is a traditional Danish Christmas dessert shared by Lazy Budget Chef. We do have a tradition of Nisse gifts so I really should make this for Nisse night which we celebrate on 12/23!

OK. Now let's see what everyone's been up to this week!

Happy Friday Eve all! It's been a week that's gone by quickly and slowly at the same time. I'm not sure how that's possible but that's how it's felt for me. The clock stays ticking and we're almost within the two week window for Christmas which seems hard to believe. Looks like you've all been creative and busy Elves, getting presents done and your halls decked.

Let's take a look at some of your inspiring ideas!

These Icing Cones from Studio 27 by Jennifer Adams look good enough to eat don't they? However don't! They're made from ... spackle! What a wonderful addition to holiday kitchen decor and/or a Hot Chocolate Bar.

Even if you don't have a digital cutting machine you can still make beautiful papercuts like this gorgeous tree by Priyam at Simple Joys. Great for a card, ornament, or package topper.

Speaking of trees, LOVE these rust Twine and Wood Piece Trees from Saved From Salvage

Finally, if you're looking for a special holiday dessert, you can never go wrong with a Chocolate Mousse and this one from Kiku Corner looks perfect!

Now let's see what everyone's been up to this week!

Happy Friday Eve all. We are officially within the two week window countdown to Halloween if you can believe it. It's finally feeling like Fall here in the desert getting down to the low 70s even 60s.  Love it. Lots of inspiring ideas shared at last week's party with still enough time to try so let's take a look at a few!

This Skull themed tablescape from Whispers of the Heart is right in my style wheelhouse! Love the elegance of the black and white with the pops of purple!

A dollar store pumpkin and flowers and some woven spider fabric combine to make this easy and pretty Halloween Pumpkin! From The Apple Street Cottage

This piece of Halloween gorgeousness started out as a child's dollhouse! I'd been looking for one to turn into a haunted house but I think I started too late this season. What a gorgeous transformation! From Studio 27 by Jennifer Adams!

Tis the season for all things pumpkin so definitely put these Baked Chocolate Pumpkin Swirl donuts on your list of recipes to try. From Cindy's Online Recipe Box!

Thank you as always to all who linked up!

Happy Friday and October Eve! You know what that means. It's full speed ahead to Halloween! I finally spent some real time in my craft room to kick off my 2021 Halloween decorating which you can see here. Crackled and Jeweled Floral Sugar Skull on Wood

Lots of fun ideas from last week's party so let's take a look at a few!

Brilliant idea from Penny at Penny's Vintage Home. Transform an artificial Christmas Limb into a spectacular Fall Tree!

Who wouldn't want to sit at this "Bootiful" Halloween table? Gorgeous tablescape from Whispers of the Heart!

Check out this creative Upcycled Percolator Pumpkin transformation from Love My Cottage. I suspect some parents or grandparents may have one of these percolators stashed in a garage. I can easily see a Scarecrow or Tin Man made from one!

Finally, this Poison Apple display is such a perfect Halloween and Snow White inspired idea from Studio 27 by Jennifer Adams

Thank you to everyone who linked up and can't wait to see what you've all been up to this week!

OMG I definitely have post surgical brain and they left that part in! I started this in PLENTY of time to have it posted on time and my brain went for a walk. Yowza! Maybe it's because I was so excited to get my bandages off today. TMI?

Hope you've all had a wonderful week. As much as we needed the rain here in the Southwest, I'm not going to lie and say I miss it. It's been a great week with a visit from our son.

Let's take a look at what you've been up to the past couple of weeks!

It's almost PUMPKIN season! I don't like to eat them but I do LOVE to decorate with them. Masterpieces of My Life has five inspiring ideas to get you started!

The House on Silverado has a beautiful furniture makeover with a Milk Paint finish. Gorgeous!

Maybe you took a beach vacation this year and found some seaglass or maybe you just want to create that beachy feel just because. Fresh Vintage by Lisa S has just the way to do it with this Faux Sea Glass Trinket Bottle tutorial!

Finally, I haven't had one of these in years but growing up they were a staple! From Studio 27 by Jennifer Adams, make your own classic Hostess Cupcakes at home!

Now let's see what you've been up to this week !

Happy June Creative Peeps although JUNE?! Yikes. Moving is underway and making is on pause. Is it just me or do others see things they're moving and decide "hey I need to make this over right after I'm settled". I bet it's not just me. June! Father's Day, PRIDE, lots of graduations, weddings etc. at least traditionally. Graduations seem to be split between May and June these days and with so many still being virtual it's hard to keep track.

I had a wonderful surprise this week. You may remember that I made some cards and tags for an organization called Box of Balloons that works to ensure every child has a birthday memory. I got the nicest email from them yesterday that just made my heart soar.

"I've been putting a card and gift tag in each birthday box I've been creating and it adds such a personal touch to each box. Thank you so much for donating these as I'm sure they took a lot of time and energy to create. They're so beautiful and made so well and I'm just blown away and grateful :) "

I let the coordinator know that as soon as I'm settled I'll make some more. It's such a great feeling to know that you can bring a little more light into the world doing what you love.

Let's take a look at some ideas from last week's party!

To my point about making over some things on hand, take a look at these gorgeous pots Howling Liz updated. These look so current and I love the glossy black she used. Gorgeous!

Think this is an old wooden box  Artsy VaVa tranformed into gorgeousness? Nope. It's a brick mold! And being a Southwest dweller, I love the succulents which aren't painted but rub-ons.

I've had a lifelong fascination with globes. I'd look at them to see where characters I was reading about lived, or of course for schoolwork, or to look at places people came from or I wanted to go. Jennifer from Studio 27 had another creative idea to use one to show where her blog traffic comes from! So many possibilities!

Genius! If you've made Hot Cocoa Bombs, you've already got the molds you need to make these perfect for Summer Ice Cream Bombs! This genius idea comes from 3 Winks Design. What fun treats for the hotter months!

Thank you as always to everyone who linked up. I love seeing what everyone's up to. Now let's take a look at who's done what this week!
