BFF Open House Link Party

Happy Friday Eve all and hope everyone had a wonderful Valentine's and Galentine's Day.  Some great ideas from last week's party to share.

Springtime is prime time for things like showers and luncheons and I just love this idea from Penny's Vintage Home: A Wood Slice Cake! No calories and love the mossy layers. So many possibilities. You could even use the top layer as a tray for cupcakes.

Lindsey from Repurpose and Upcycle shared her technique for aging Terra Cotta pots which makes them look so chic and like ones you see in places like Pottery Barn . Love!

I love the look of embossed metal to use in cards and mixed media projects, but the actual metal can get pricey. Linda from Paper Seedlings has a great technique using heavy duty aluminum foil and embossing folders. I think I even have this exact embossing folder. So elegant!

Finally, Craftbeering takes one of my favorite desserts, chocolate fondue, up a notch with Hazelnut Brown Ale Chocolate Fondue.

Now let's see what everyone's been up to this week!

BFF Open House Link Party

Happy Friday Eve all and welcome to another party. Hope you've all had a great week.

I'm pleased to announce the winner of my recent Paperless Post giveaway ( winner was randomly selected via Rafflecopter) is Kim who has been notified via email. Thanks to everyone who participated.

OK who else has never heard of an "Ears and Beers" party (as the name implies, it involves corn and beer)? I love hosting this party because I learn new things all the time. Jenny from Jenny Louise Marie shared how she hosted one of these and you really need to check it out to see all the amazing things she did and incporated popcorn, candy corn, corn tortilla chips, Mexican street corn, candy corn jello shots and of course, beer!

She sent her guests home with these corn themed favors that could easily work for Thanksgiving.

My son is coming home for Thanksgiving so I must have beer on my mind since he is a craft beer aficionado. I know not everyone drinks beer so you could easily do this w/ your beverage of choice , but Milena and Chris from Craftbeering came up with a fun way to count down until Christmas especially since there are many seasonal brews that are only out a certain times of the year.

You could even have a different flavor for each day!

Tis the season to be wreathy and Cathy from Vintage Paint and More has got you covered.

Finally, if you are looking for pie alternatives for Thanksgiving or for any time, check out this gorgeous Apple Galette from Mrs. Kringles Kitchen

OK now on to this week's party!

BFF Open House Link Party

Hi creative friends. I know we are all reeling from what we're seeing unfold in Texas. To those located in the zone of the hurricane (or who have family and friends there) , first and foremost I hope you are all safe.

I know tons of creative peeps (including me) are figuring out how we can put our maker skills to use to help. If you have any ideas to share, please leave in the comments!

I decided to go ahead and put the party up because maybe looking at some pretty things will be a welcome distraction. Be well friends!

True confession: I am not a fan of Pumpkin Spice anything ( pumpkin anything for that matter) BUT I know it's super popular and so many people love it. I am a fan of the pumpkin image in this printable from The Organized Dream so featuring this gorgeous printable for all you Pumpkin Spice lovers ( and me for that pumpkin image) Win Win but even better, she's got two more gorgeous Fall themed printables at the link. Go get them!

Who loves the $1 Spot at Target as much as I do? Repurpose and Upcycle does for sure and look what she did with a wooden  toolbox she found there? How perfect for a Fall Farmhouse look.

This intrigued me because of PhD boy who is a craft beer aficionado. I on the other hand do love a Pina Colada and here the two meet in a combo I would never have put together. From Craftbeering, I give you the IPA Pina Colada!

This week's chocolate feature is from Jay Tried and True: Cookies and Cream Filled Brownies! Look at all that ooey gooey goodness.

OK let's get busy seeing what you've been busy making.
