This card has to travel across the ocean so to keep myself from having to take out a loan for postage, I tried to keep it pretty flat and light. A challenge for me since I love dimension and embellishments.
I gathered up the things I planned to use in my card, starting with computer generating the focal image and sentiment using my My Memories digital scrapbooking software. Printed on white cardstock and trimmed to size. My card was guided by the colors in this image so I chose papers from my stash to match.
Mounted the focal image and sentiment as shown and finished off by adding drops of liquid pearls ( bisque) to the butterflies and flowers.

It is so pretty! Anyone would love to receive that work of art! I love embossing - gorgeous and elegant!
Oh it's beautiful!! I wish I made more pretty cards like this. And yep - I know about 10 different people at least who have birthdays in April.

Gorgeous card!
What a lovely card Carol. Love the way you cut out the flowers in the strip. Whoever is getting this will love it! I definitely understand what you mean about postage.

A Look Through My Eyes
Hi Carol- this may seem like a strange request but here goes! I wonder if there is anyway you could emboss a piece of paper (as big as possible) and sell it to me. I am currently working on a dollhouse project and need some for the kitchen backsplash. Thanks for considering this!
