Somewhere in my travels, I picked up these galvanized metal hearts but I know they had to be a steal deal because I bought 3 of them.
This started out like this:
To which I added some of these rub ons:
I remembered a gorgeous frame I downloaded from The Graphics Fairy and pictured it as the focal for this. I imported it into my graphics program and added the text “j’taime” and the number 20. We’re celebrating our 20th anniversary this year so I figured this could be up now for Valentine’s but since it’s neutral, it can stay up all year for our anniversary.
I printed the image out on Avery transparent label paper which actually looks like vellum. It was perfect with the rub ons…the white in them is almost the same opacity as the vellum paper. And I had to bling it up with some clear adhesive rhinestones.
Right now it’s hanging on our bedroom door. Haven’t decided if that’s its permanent home or not.

Oh so sweet and sentimental! The hubs and I will celebrate 5 in March. :)
Looks great, and I like the title better too!
How clever! Congrats on your anniversary!
That is so wonderful! I love the effect, when I first saw the picture all the scrollwork looked like carved relief. One of my favorite things of yours! I would never have thought to use the hearts this way!
LOVE this...I always learn something new when I visit, for instance.. .Avery makes transparent labels? Who knew?
Nice heart! Those metal ones are sweet--you always find the coolest stuff. I am in awe of your genius with the labels--brilliant!
Congrats on 20 years--we celebrated 15 this year.
Breathtaking, Carol! Love, love, love! A fabulous sentiment for your anniversary.
Whoohoo! I looove this creation, Missy! Don't you just love that aged look of the metal? Great job and hope you're having a great week!
Hugs to you!

Tnx for linking up another lovely creation at my party! :)
Awesome! The rub on graphics gives this so much dimension. I hope that you will link this up with my Show and Share linky party, going on through tomorrow. http://craftygeordi.blogspot.com/2011/01/hi-everyone-i-had-busy-day-yesterday.html
I love The Graphics Fairy so I'm always thrilled to see what people come up with using their stuff. What a great idea to use those rub ons. They really make it look professional and elegant! Stopping by from Tatertots and Jello.
Love this!! It would look great on my bedroom door too! Ha, except you could erase that 0 since we've been married two years! I love that it's "Valentine's" and not pink or red and that you can leave it up all year long! Thanks for visiting me too! I loooove the name of your blog. It is true- I just downed a big piece of chocolate cake myself!
What a beautiful heart... I've added you to my blogroll and become a follower... love your work!
Hugs, antonella :-)
Ooooh! Love this. Great project!
Warmly, Michelle
I love it! I've never seen anything like that, its a charming token of love. And, the title of your post is perfect!

This is just lovely! What a really great idea and end result!

Lovely metal heart. I have those same scrolly transfers. I couldn't figure out how to rub them on...I need instructions for how to open a box :)! I also love chocolate. My favorite candy is from See's, more of a West Coast brand. Wow, you've got a lot of chocolate inspirations going here. One of my chocolate standbys is Nestle's Toll House Double Chocolate Chip Brownies. Pretty basic; I agree something more exotic for VD is called for.
Oh WOW You are amazing !!!
Thank you so much for linking up !
Happy Valentine's day !
Super Cute!!!
