BFF Open House

Happy Friday Eve Creative Peeps! I hope you've had a good and creative week. It's been COLD here in the desert. Woke up to 24 degrees and SNOW the other day which for some of you may be nothing but is not the norm around here. Haven't been up to much creatively since I've been busy getting my mom moved to a new apartment but she's all set now so back to it.

Looking VERY forward to being able to attend some of the amazing annual Jewelry and Gem events in Tucson next week. I've long wanted to go and now, living nearby, I finally get the chance. You can't imagine how HUGE some of them are. They've been setting up the exhibition tents for weeks now and it's like mini county fairs in several places. I think I'm going to have to pick one or two and not attempt to go to all of them.

You've been busy as always so let's take a look at some of the projects you shared.

Have some old jeans in your closet (or places like Goodwill are a great source)? These embroidered Denim Hearts from The Apple Street Cottage are a wonderful way to repurpose them and make lovely Valentine's gifts!

This DIY Cutting Board from Steph Creates is such a sweet Valentine's accent piece to make!

I've always loved movies and movie theaters and it's the one thing I missed during the worst of the pandemic. Bring the movies home to celebrate an adult or kids birthday with this FABULOUS Birthday Movie Night shared by Simple Joys. This would also be perfect for an Oscars watch party.

Finally, this Embroidery Hoop Snowman from Creatively Beth is just too cute! The detail of the lace gives is such a great textured look.

Thanks to everyone who linked up and can't wait to see what everyone's been up to this week!

Happy Friday Eve all and I hope Florida Creative Peeps are doing OK and hanging in there. So much devastation, it's incomprehensible and I know that's an understatement compared to living through it.

October proceeds and Spooky Season is in full swing. I got my Halloween Tree up and dropping this year's Halloween cards in the mail to special family and friends today.

As always, there were great projects shared at last week's party so let's take a look at a few!

How fun are these Witch Hat table favors from Thrifting Wonderland? Perfect to set a spooky table and/or send home with guests!

These Concrete Pumpkins from Saved By Salvage are just GORGEOUS and she has all the details on how to make!

How cute is this Book Witch from The Apple Street Cottage

Finally, these Brownie Parfaits from The Kitchen Is My Playground would be perfect on a Halloween part dessert table or for any time!

Thank you to everyone who shared their creations and let's take a look at what you've all been up to this week!

It's that time again! Another week on the books and hope it's been a good one. Thank you all for the birthday wishes. We had a great day exploring a very artsy town near us, Tubac, which is one of the oldest towns in Arizona so it also has lots of history. Then dinner at one of our favorite restaurants from "up North" which also has a location nearby, and more exploring over the weekend. September is a busy birthday month. In addition to my own, I share it with my Fairy Grandbaby, cousin, and several friends including three this weekend and two on the same day!

I even managed to post a couple of cards that came together with coordinating supplies from totally different places.

Still working on my Halloween Tree skirt :)

Let's take a look at some of the great ideas shared at last week's party!

The Apple Street Cottage is back with a collection of FABULOUS Dollar Store Pumpkin makeovers. Every one of these is great!

Looking for a different pumpkin idea? Check out these Faux Terra Cotta Pumpkins from Family and the Lake House

Whether you're hosting a Fall dinner or just looking for a different take on Pumpkin Decor, Check out these beautiful Pumpkin Place Settings from My Thrift Store Addiction

Finally, to finish off my unplanned Pumpkin roundup, how about these cute Peanut Butter Pumpkins from The Kitchen Is My Playground.

'Tis the Season to be Pumpkin right?

Thanks to all who linked up and let's take a look at what you've been up to this week.

Halloween may be the next big crafting holiday but let me really scare you. Christmas is just FOUR MONTHS from today! EEEEEEK!

I didn't get up to much this past week. We had my mom down to visit for a few days and then catching up on some errands. BUT, I did hit Dollar Tree for some decorations for my Halloween tree and I want to put it up NOW. They have some great things. Michaels and JoAnn also have some cool stuff and a lot of it already discounted. Shop early and often is my motto!

I love hosting this party, especially when I haven't had time to work on anything. I love seeing all the things you work on and share and while I may not be able to comment on every link, I appreciate each and every one. Let's take a look at a few from last week's party!

Check out this Not Yet Fall Pumpkin from The Apple Street Cottage. Isn't it GORGEOUS?! This can stay up all the way through Thanksgiving. And of course I did pick up a couple of extra pumpkins from Dollar Tree to play with!

Likewise, check out this great DIY Witch Hat tutorial from Me and My Inklings! Fun on its own but also what a great topper for a pumpkin or a tree!

Even though I'm not a camper, I can't resist a good pun and if you're getting in one last campout of the season, Artsy Fartsy Mama has you covered to go in style with this Camping Is In Tents tee (free file at link)!

Finally, I must confess I have an aversion to Pineapple Upside Down Cake...leftover childhood trauma from my least favorite aunt. It was the only dessert she made and if I didn't eat it, I heard about it. So when I became an adult "Not no way, not no how". But this Chocolate Raspberry Upside Down Cake from K'Mich Wedding Soiree Blog I would DEFINITELY try!

Thanks to everyone who linked up and let's see what you've been up to this week!

Happy August, everyone. How it's already August, I don't know but here we are which means maker season is about to go into overdrive. Seeing more Halloween and even a little Christmas popping up in the stores and some of it is already on sale! Riddle me that.

This week I shared two more home decor projects. A Lamp and Mirror Makeover and some more DIY Wall Art in Shades of Blue

Some wonderful projects as usual were shared at last week's party so let's take a look at a few!

LOVE this transformation of a stand ashtray from The Apple Street Cottage .

Whether you have a box of maps you've collected or just grab some new ones. Creatively Beth has you covered with Three Ways to Use Recycled Maps.

If you want to get a headstart on Christmas cards, this one from Paper Seedlings is a stunner!

Maybe you've been gardening or picked up some Zucchini at a Farmer's Market. Here's a great way to use it and it doesn't hurt that it means getting more veggies in. Check out this Double Chocolate Zucchini Cake from The House on Silverado

Well Hello, Creative Peeps! I hope everyone had a peaceful Fourth of July. One thing I love about where we are now is we heard NO fireworks. Last year was a nightmare between professional and amateur noise that sent our big girl into a loud barking frenzy. Not scared, just telling everyone what she thought which is cute the first time but not when people don't know when to quit at 3AM. But I digress.

Back in the saddle with features this week and I even had a chance to make something! Actually two things so far, only one of which I've posted yet. See how I modernized a ceramic candleholder to fit with our new home here: White and Silver Cactus Candleholder Makeover

I haven't been in any craft stores in a few weeks so I'm predicting by the next time I go I'll see Halloween and maybe even Christmas. Time will fly from here on out. Let's take a look at some of the things you've been up to lately!

I haven't made any jewelry lately so these beautiful Boho Bracelets from My French Twist caught my eye. Aren't they pretty?!

Speaking of Halloween supplies, start being on the lookout now for this Witch Hat Frame at Dollar Tree. The Apple Street Cottage has a great way to transform it into an Ice Cream Cone themed piece, perfect for Summer.

I just love this idea from My Thrift Store Addiction to add both nature and lights to an outdoor space with these Vine Light Covered pieces! I can see the Faeries coming to them now.

Finally, how about this delicious looking Chocolate Chip Cookie Pie from Scratch Made Food for Hungry People? Yes please!

Thank you to everyone who linked up and your patience with no features for the past few weeks. Now let's see what amazing feats you've been up to this week!

Whew! Happy Friday Eve all and how is next weekend Memorial Day weekend and the official start of Summer? Seasons and the calendar are not things that go together here in the desert. Already have temperatures over 100 degrees. I saw some friends from the Pacific Northwest last weekend who were laughing at me for saying it wasn't that hot yet as well as confessing how it feels "cold" under 90 degrees. I've apologized to other friends who've lived here and whom I used to tease when they said they were cold. And of course, there's the debate over "do I need a wrap or sweater" in the height of Summer because if you go INSIDE anywhere, the AC is frigid.

Enough rambling. I hope everyone's had a good and creative week. Let's see a few of the wonderful ideas shared at last week's party!

Summer is Tie Dye Season and I love the more current trend of tie dye like this watercolor effect shared by Artsy Fartsy Mama. The trick for this "cool" effect? Ice!

Check out this before and after Recipe Box makeover shared by The Apple Street Cottage. Isn't it a fabulous transformation?

Can you ever have enough places to store baubles and bits? Sewing or other craft accessories? Jewelry? Hello Sewing has a wonderful solution with this Multi Compartment Organizer, and what a great way to use up smaller pieces and scraps!

Finally, how cute is this Crocheted Bohosaurus from Sew Crafty Crochet in my favorite, black and white! Even better? Dollar Tree yarn!

OK let's see what you've all been up to this week!
