Ombre Fall Printables

I haven’t yet had a chance to do any ombre projects but I did play around with the idea in my graphics program! I combined that with a Fall quote and:

Printable: I’ve Lost It!

While I still haven’t posted many new projects, it’s not for lack of being busy. I’m on scrapbooking overload, now almost finished with the last one of the graduation ceremony. Who does this?! Oh…us!
In the midst of everything, I had an idea for a printable that might be representative only of my  twisted little mind! Still,  I thought I’d share just in case others can relate.

Mother’s Day Printable

featured button

Being in and out the past couple of weeks, I am more than way behind for Mother’s Day. Usually I make cards for all my mom girlfriends but not sure that’s gonna happen this year. I did make a printable which those  friends might just get as an email attachment! I found a frame in a cupboard that I didn’t even bother to re-paint. Just layered and hot glued some paper and silk flowers to brighten it up a bit.

LUCK o The Printable

It’s not supposed to be snowing in Seattle in February! Just had to get that out of the way. I was playing around with some digital downloads I found at this really cool FREE site: Eden Scrapbooks and decided to make one more St. Patrick’s Day printable. I’ve been playing with layering and stuff!

I LOVE It When A Plan Comes Together!

My mom (aka The Mumster) gave me a gorgeous frame for my birthday last year. She did a whole “bling” theme, with a box FULL of blingy adhesive rhinestones and stickers and the frame was also blingy.

I just couldn’t decide what picture  to put in it so it’s sat empty. Until today! While linking up to Someday Crafts Whatever Wednesday, something caught my eye which brought me to a new blog called Sprik Space, home of a lovely and generous blogger named Aimee. Aimee had linked up some adorable printables which just happened to feature an image my mom loves and in a color that was perfect for my frame! WIN WIN!!!

It’s the LOVE image based on a sculpture by an artist named Robert Indiana. The Mumster  has pics of the original sculpture in New York and this just tied together an already meaningful gift from her.

However, since the frame is mirrored , it’s also a bear to photograph without reflecting everything, but I was so giddy about this coming together  I wanted to share.

Go follow Aimee for this printable that she’s done in a variety of colors, as well as many more cute ones!

And yes, I’m going to frame Mom’s favorite color for her. Thank You Aimee!!

I’m “Loving” Printables

oneprettything

The Mumster ( aka my mom) loves the saying “Live Love Laugh” and has a bunch of stuff with variations of it. So I was playing around with it and here’s one of the variations I've seen. It can be used for Valentine’s or like my mom, all the time!

Mumster, if you read this, just let me know what size frame you want yours to fit. Everyone else, they’re sized to fit an 8x10 frame but you can play around with it to re-size accordingly. Click on a color to bring it to full size before you download. My only pretty please is that if you download, you follow.

I Knew I Bought That Orange Frame For A Reason

While he loves to tease me about my trips to Michaels, JoAnn's etc., Mr. Chocolate also knows that I know when and where the sales are. As I was heading out one day in the Summer, he asked if I would frame something for him which gave me the perfect excuse reason to go to Aaron Brothers Art & Frame who just happened to be having their semi-annual  $.01 sale. We all have to make sacrifices right, so I made an additional stop.

Got there, found a frame for him which was a brushed metallic red .  Perfect for what he needed. But I wasn't going to pass up the chance to buy another "of equal or lesser value" for a PENNY was I? You know the answer. The same frame I bought him in red also came in a cool orange. I am not normally an orange person but there was something about that orange and did I mention it would cost me a PENNY?

You would think I'd have used it in my Halloween decorating. Temporary amnesia. Cured of that, and getting ready for Thanksgiving decorating, it all came together when Jessica at Craftily Ever After read my mind and made up a Thanksgiving themed printable!!! (Which she's sharing on her site...be nice and follow if you download it ). This is a horrible pic because I'm not ready to put it on my mantle yet and took it at a weird angle to avoid the glare :

I printed it on cream cardstock. I like the cream and brown with the white mat and the orange. And did I mention the metallic organza tulle ribbon I found at Joann's yesterday? No? There's an orange that matches the frame along with a copper, and a deep brown and yes, I got all the colors.
