BFF Open House Link Party #181

The Answer Is Chocolate

Happy Friday Eve and welcome to another party at The Answer Is Chocolate. One week! One week to Trick or Treat time. Question: do you buy candy you like in case you have leftovers or do you buy candy you don't like so you won't be tempted?

More great Halloween ideas shared at last week's party. Here are some you still have time to do!

If you're looking for an alternative to traditional pumpkin colors, Laura from Pet Scribbles has you covered using metallic paints.

If you're not planning a full costume for Halloween, you can always add a piece or two of festive Halloween jewelry. Rona at Jewelry Making Journal has a fantastic roundup of pieces that can be made by people of any skill level.

Don't forget the pets for Halloween! There are so many cute pet costumes out there but I love this idea from Carrie Elle including these adorable tags you can download from her site!

Lou Lou Girls shared a mouth watering calzone recipe. Perfect Halloween night dinner which would be great paired with this fantastic Halloween dessert that "caught my eye"  from Life With the Crust Cut Off

OK now on to this week's party!

BFF Open House Link Party #178

The Answer Is Chocolate

Happy Friday Eve once again and welcome to the first party of October. We are in full on Halloween mode and crunch time! Here are some ideas to inspire you.

From Artsy VaVa, I am in LOVE with these brilliant Halloween cuffs. She shares the how to and it's easier than you think!

I am wild about this copycat wreath from Homemade Interest especially given that the price of the wreath she knocked off was $259! She did hers for less than 1/4 that and the result is just as stunning as the original.

This spooky vignette from The Crafty Lumberjacks is perfect for a mantle or any flat surface:

This week's chocolate feature would be a perfect addition to a Halloween dessert table ( or any dessert table, or just because they're awesome!). From the ladies at LouLou Girls

Now on to this week's party!

BFF Open House Link Party #166

The Answer Is Chocolate

Happy Friday Eve everyone. Hope you've had a wonderful week. Getting excited to see College Boy for a couple of weeks since he's been doing a Summer Research Project at school and hasn't been home. Maybe because I'm thinking up things to make for him, this week's features are all chocolate!

Let's start with these tasty little morsels from LouLouGirls. Oreo Balls! Oreos with more chocolate? Yes please! Perfect for a party or to have on hand when you just need a bite of chocolate.

Then there are these gorgeous Black and White Chocolate Cups from Culinary Flavors

Too hot to bake? Life With The Crust Cut Off has you covered with these no bake Mint Chocolate Bars.

I couldn't resist featuring another creation from Parrish at Life With The Crust Cut Off and I dare you to resist these no bake S'Mores Cheesecakes

BFF Open House Link Party #157

The Answer Is Chocolate

Happy Friday Eve once again and Happy Mother's Day weekend :) Hope everyone's had a great and productive week.

As always, let's start with a few features from last week's party.

I made a bird's nest pendant for a necklace and never even thought to make a bracelet! Ashley from 3 Little Greenwoods did and didn't it turn out gorgeous?! Go check out the tutorial.

Can you believe this awesome chair is Christal's first DIY project?  I think it turned out great. You can see the "before" over at her blog SimplyZaspy.

I love transferring photos to things and this technique using Mod Podge and tissue paper is one I haven't tried yet. Really like the muted effect. Visit Jennifer at Mondomom for the how to.

OK this week's chocolate feature is one that I'm not sure I should know how to do. Homemade Oreo Cakesters:

YUM! Cassielew from the LouLou Girls blog has the recipe!

On with this week's festivities!
