BFF Open House

Happy Friday Eve all. This week I remembered what day it was lol. Hope everyone's had a creative and peaceful week. Let's take a look at some of the wonderful ideas shared at last week's party!

Michelle from My Bijou Life shared a post that for me was both timely and helpful on the topic of Creating vs Selling. Now that I'm retired, I am focused on jump starting my blog and being a full time creative and also maybe finally opening an online shop. This is so helpful if you're in a similar decision making position!

From Simple Joys, Priyam shared how to take the simplest of things, a paper towel roll, and make something beautiful. I've had some ideas about incorporating these into my Quilling so this is inspiring!

I love the "Rae Dunn" style and T'onna from Sew Crafty Crochet has taken it to her crochet hook to make this fun scarf. Love!

Finally, since masks aren't going anywhere anytime soon and not everyone has a sewing machine, Hello Sewing has a great tutorial showing how to make one without a machine.

Now let's see what you've been up to this week!

BFF Open House

Happy Friday Eve all. Thanks for all of your supportive comments last week. There was a huge work project that was not going as smoothly as the people who dreamed it up thought it was going to go. This week's been a bit quieter :)

Here are some ideas from last week's party!

If you're looking to add to your outdoor decor (or this could work for inside as well) South House Designs has a fabulous tutorial on how to DIY Cement Bird Baths using all kinds of things you may have in your stash, or around the house!

Sharing some more mask ideas from Sew Crafty Crochet and I absolutely love this choice of fun fabrics!

Speaking of sewing, Condo Blues shared this very timely post on Sewing Tips and Tricks. My skills are limited but I have been cranking out masks. At least I was until my machine said "um no" and my new one arrives tomorrow so I'll be referring to these to make sure I take great care of it!

Finally, for weeks like last week especially, or anytime, I think I need one of these Chocolate Nutty Fudge Martinis from Cindy's Online Recipe Box

Wishing you all a nice long Memorial Day weekend and remembering those who have made the ultimate sacrifice in service of the country.

BFF Open House Link Party

Happy Friday Eve once again. I know that Spring has gotten lost on its way to several parts of the country so hopefully some of these Spring inspired features will tide you over until it gets there.

Freshvintagebylisas has a fun way to combine kitchenware and gardening by re-purposing kitchen pieces as planters. Fun indoors or out!

Similarly, Simple Nature Decor shared what she did with some fabulous old dairy containers by using them as planters. I love their vintage chippy rustiness!

With Mother's Day fast approaching, From Playdates to Parties has a wonderful garden themed brunch idea that is perfect for indoor or outdoor entertaining.

Finally, being a desert dweller now, I couldn't resist this adorable Crocheted Cactus Garden from Sew Crafty Crochet

Now, let's see what everyone's been up to this week!

BFF Open House Link Party

TGIAF (Almost Friday). I took last week off for a little creative staycation and this week back at work has been busy busy busy so I'm already ready for the weekend. How about you all?  Let's take a look at some ideas from last week's party and as always, thanks to my regular guests and WELCOME to those of you who are new to this party!

I shared my Halloween decor here and absolutely in love with this vignette from Masterpieces of My Life. I can see we have a love of Edgar Allan Poe in common!

You can never go wrong with Shakespeare, especially this time of  year with this timeless quote from Macbeth. Fantastic printable from Lolly Jane

How cute is this Bride of Frankenstein hat from Sew Crafty Crochet

And for this week's chocolate feature:

Are these not the most perfect cupcakes? My signature drink is a Mocha so these look like a must make for me! From Sugar Spice and Family Life

Now let's see what everyone's been up to this week!
