BFF Open House Happy New Year!

I hope everyone who celebrated had a joyous Christmas and is starting off 2026 with a peaceful heart. I'm not a big resolution maker. For me, continuing on paths started, growing, learning, and taking life in stride is what I focus on. Our Christmas celebration continues, and we will get our best possible gift on Monday when our son comes to visit.

As much as I understand seasonality and how we, as Makers, love to get a jump start on the next holiday, it feels like Valentine's decor sprang up overnight and I confess, I'm not ready. I've been focused on doing a real clean out of my craft room...reorganizing and getting things together to donate to a local art based thrift store before I bring in anything else! I'm also excited to play with some new tools Mr. Chocolate got me for Christmas!

But let's wrap up the last party of 2025 with some features you can Pin for...um...THIS year! Eek. 364 days til Christmas!

Steph Creates shared this awesome idea that would make a great gift and can be adapted to year round or seasonal use with these DIY Stacked Wood Books! Endless possibilities.

January is prime thrifting month and a great opportunity to look for supplies to make a gorgeous Stacked Glass Bowl Christmas Tree like this one from The Apple Street Cottage. I meant to try to make one and got distracted.

Is it ever too early to get started on gifts? I always plan to do them throughout the year and...This is a fabulous idea from Building Our Hive with this Vintage Image Tall Candle Gift.

If you're out thrifting, look for things to make this gorgeous Vintage Ornament Upcycle shared by Artsy Va Va

Thank you all for the wonderful shares and inspiration in 2025, and I hope you'll continue to join each week in 2026.

EEK! We're one week out from Halloween! It feels like it was just August when I started working on Halloween projects. And once we hit Nov 1, it will be a race to the finish with US Thanksgiving, Christmas, Hanukkah and and more. Take your vitamins and get your rest. We're MAKERS. We were made for this!

This week I shared a couple of fall-themed projects. I also started and finished my first Christimas project which I'll share next week.

Let's take a look at some of the wonderful ideas shared at last week's party!

The Apple Street Cottage shared this Little Bit Spooky Vase makeover.

There's always time to add one more thing to decor when it's a printable, and Hunny I'm Home DIY has Halloween covered with this Halloween Printable Sign

Whether you make your own or want to dress up store-bought cupcakes, these Halloween Skeleton Cupcake Toppers from Ann's Entitled Life will definitely give them a spooky glow-up!

Finally, as we start to think about Thanksgiving in the US or fall celebrations elsewhere, these DIY Wood Pumpkin Placecards from Steph Creates would be a lovely addition to any table!

Thank you to everyone who linked up and can't wait to see what you've been up to this week!

BFF Open House

Happy Friday Eve, Creative Peeps! October is just rolling along...more like steamrolling, right? I was in Michaels the other day, talking to myself as I sometimes do, and one of the guys was putting up Christmas trees and heard me and said, "Talking yourself out of buying more stuff?" To which I replied, "I plead the 5th," and we shared a laugh.

Have you seen some of the Christmas stuff they're getting in? I CANNOT add another tree! We have FOUR. But the temptation, especially with some very pretty jewel tone and jeweled ornaments, and some gingerbread themed goodies...TEMPTATION!

I got the paint and eye pins I went in for, along with some Fall florals at 60% off for when I switch out my table centerpiece.

This week I shared:

Lots of inspiring ideas shared at last week's party so let's take a look at some of them!

From Bay to Beach shared a great way to combine current Halloween trends with a natural, beach, Coastal Halloween Decor

The Apple Street Cottage shared this fun Doily Ghost. Visit to see it lit up!

Creatively Beth shared these adorable Halloween Wooden Spoons with easy supplies from Dollar Tree. Fun to make with little ones.

Finally, these wonderfully creepy cupcakes with Homemade Halloween Eyeballs are perfect for the season. From Ann's Entitled Life

Thanks to everyone who shared last week, and can't wait to see what you have in store this week.

BFF Open House

Happy Friday Eve Creative Peeps! I hope the first week of JUNE (!) has treated you well. Before we know it, Father's Day will be here, it's ongoing graduation and wedding season and Summer vacay for teachers and students. And once again, I'm determined to get a jump on some holiday crafting over the Summer.

This week I share more fun with Dollar Tree Llamas and Carved Boxes

There were lots of fun Summer projects and ideas shared at last week's party. Three of these are from repurposed / upcycled materials, which is both economical and ecological!

The Apple Street Cottage shared how to use Upcycled Materials to make this fabulous Dream Catcher

Birdz of a Feather showed how to use Vintage Buttons to create a STUNNING statement necklace!

Me and My Inklings has a fun craft with this Recycled Pirate Chest Craft! You could make these with littles and then hide treasures for them to find (and keep them busy this Summer!)

Finally, it's pool season so these Pool Party Cupcakes from Hunny I'm Home DIY are perfect! Ya know...I'm thinking these could be cute IN the above Pirate Chest!

Thanks all who linked up. Imagination...it's LIMITLESS!

Now let's see what you Creative Geniuses have been up to this week!

Happy Friday Eve all! Things are starting to warm up here in the desert, at least during the day. Nights are still very cold which I have to remind Mr. Chocolate as he turns the thermostat way down during the day but it stays that way overnight and when I wake up with the chickens the next morning I do my Jack Nicholson from The Shining impression waiting for the heat to kick in!

Bead and Gem Show season is in full swing and it's so overwhelming! Seriously, every bead and gem producer is here this week!

This week I shared:

Let's take a look at some of the LOVEly ideas shared at last week's party!

Steph Creates Things shared this sweet Floral Hoop Centerpiece, perfect for Valentine's or Spring!

The Apple Street Cottage showed us how to repurpose a tea towel into this festive Valentine's Heart Wreath.

Creatively Beth shared this beautiful and bold Dollar Tree  Buffalo Plaid Heart Sign

And finally, how cute are these Nutter Butter Heart Cookies from Drugstore Divas?!

Thanks to all who linked up and can't wait to see the creativity in store this week. Happy Weekend Creative Peeps!

BFF Open House Happy New Year

Happy 2025 Creative Peeps! I hope you had a wonderful Christmas, Yule, Hanukkah etc! Ours was sniffly but lovely.  As someone who was in tech during the Y2K preparations, it seems like a lifetime ago already that we entered the twenty-first century and now we're one quarter of the way through it. Surreal!

Mr. Chocolate blew me away with the gift of a Glowforge! I need to prepare my craft room for its place of honor. I both can't wait to play and am still in disbelief!

Wishing you all peace, health, and creativity in this New Year! Let's take  look at some things shared and to pin for next year!

Crazy Little Love Birds shared this lovely Winter Decor Idea!

Hunny I'm Home DIY shared this brilliant idea using Dollar Tree Jenga Blocks to make trees!

The Apple Street Cottage shared this gorgeous idea using Mini Salt and Pepper Shakers as Table Decor.

Steph Creates shared this gorgeous Winter Wonderland using a Recycled Tea Tin!

As always, thank you to all who linked up. I can't wait to see what brilliance you have in store in the New Year!
