Happy Friday Eve all! Hope everyone's having a great week and looking forward to a long weekend. Ours will be busy since we got our keys yesterday and let the moving Olympics begin. We're doing it ourselves because we have time so we can pace it accordingly but still...moving SUCKS! In between cleaning out stuff and packing I stole some time to whip up a pair of easy Hammered Silver Earrings because Michaels is my enabler.
Let's take a look at some wonderful ideas shared at last week's party!
I'm going to start off with a shout out of "Heck Yeah!" to Cecelia of My Thrift Store Addiction. As women, society places such an emphasis on our looks. And as we get older, that gets harder in a different way, at least it does for me. I'm never going to get cosmetic surgery (and I'm not judging...just saying it's not a thing for ME) or Botox or fillers etc. I do love makeup because the Creative in me sees my face as another surface to play with. But my main thing has been...coloring my hair. Something I've increasingly been thinking about stopping although I'm not quite there yet. Cecelia shared her hair journey in doing just that and I for one think she looks F A B U L O U S!!! I really want to affirm her decision because I know how hard it is to make. So "Hello Gorgeous!" and you are an inspiration.
Anita, from Unique Creations by Anita shared a different kind of tranformation...this gorgeous Vanity makeover using chalk paint. I need to update a couple of things for my new office and chalk paint is where I'm going!
Mary Jo from Master Pieces of My Life shared some beautiful ways to incorporate and display Sea Shells into your decor and maybe even bring back some special vacation memories!
Finally, when this move is done, I can see one of these in my future. From Tracy at The Kitchen Is My Playground A Sparkling Raspberry-Limoncello Cocktail. Refreshing!
Wishing all of you a safe and Happy Memorial Day weekend as we remember those who paid the ultimate sacrifice in honor of our country.
Now, let's see what everyone's been up to this week!

I agree ~ no botox, fillers or cosmetic surgery for me either (especially when you need to keep having it done). But, I'm 72 and DO get eyelash extensions every 3 weeks ~ and my granddaughter (who's a cosmetologist) microbladed my eyebrows (which disappear when you get older). I have very thick, curly hair which frizzes in humidity, so (since we go to a resort near Cancun 3x a year) I get keratin straightening treatments for my below-shoulder length hair. GAME CHANGER!! It actually makes your hair shinier and soft! (Before Covid, at least 1-2x a week, strangers would come up and touch my hair and say how pretty it was!) ... so that, plus lowlights & highlights.... gosh! The older I get the more "high maintenance" I become!
Thank you for the feature on my dresser.
I feel for you moving. Glad to hear you get to take your time. Looking forward to a tour! Thanks for hosting the party.
Carol, thanks so much for the feature and kind words. You made my day, and I couldn't agree more with your thoughts about aging--no fillers, etc Thanks for hosting, and LOVE your hammered silver earrings!
Moving can be such a hassle, but at least you can take your time with a DIY. :) Thanks for hosting us again! I brought by some Mango Corn Salsa - it's a fun twist on an old favorite. :) Hope you enjoy!
Thanks so much for the feature Carol. I'm in your camp too. No botox, filler or surgery here either and I'm actually letting my hair go silver. It's a slow process and it'll be a year since I hi lighted my hair in about a month and it's so healthy!!! All that processing every 6 weeks was taking it's toll. Plus I'm saving so much money! 🤩. Have a wonderful Memorial Day Holiday and good luck on the move. XO- MaryJo
Thank you so much for hosting. Enjoy your weekend!
