BFF Open House

Happy Friday Eve! Ten days until Love Day and you all are definitely getting ready so I'm adding a couple of extra features this week! The reason I call it "Love Day" is because Valentine's always suggests couples to me and I think it's important to celebrate those we love, whether they're a partner, spouse, kiddos, parents, friends, and / or especially oneself! It's been a rough year so showing love is so important! OK let's see what you've been up to!

Anita, from Unique Creations by Anita continues to nail it with her Steampunk creations, this time a Steampunk Heart!

Niky from The House on Silverado is back with a fabulous Burlap Ribbon Wreath!

Priyam from Simple Joys shared this lovely Origami Heart Treat Holders. These could also be everything from bowl fillers to a wreath or banner or just as they are!

Kristie from Love My Little Cottage shared this incredible Abstract Heart Painting. I love the colors and how she blended everything.

Wheatless Foodie shared these pretty Gluten Free Brownies With Buttercream Icing that whether you're gluten free or not look amazing!

Finally, The Kitchen Is My Playground shared these Chocolate Valentine Kiss Cookies that are just the perfect bite size morsels of love!

Thanks as always to EVERYONE who linked up! Now let's see what everyone's been up to this week!

BFF Open House

Happy Friday Eve all. 2021 is chugging crazily along and while I still haven't been making much, I'm grateful for the gift of creativity and the ability to be inspired by the projects you all share here. Thrilled that vaccine rollout has come to our state and hoping by the time this posts I will have gotten my Mom signed up. My bestie and her husband were both diagnosed last week:(  As my BFF said: "This sh** is scary". Please please please continue to mask up and wash up!

Let's see some of the ideas from last week's party!

My Home of All Seasons has a great post on transitioning from Christmas to Winter decor if you (like me) haven't put your Christmas decor away yet. Or pin for next year!

Don't have a digital cutting machine? Priyam from Simple Joys is your go to source for paper cutting without one. Can you believe she made this paper chandelier without one?! I'm not sure I could do as beautiful a job with one and I have both a Cameo and a Cricut Explore Air 2!

I keep a stash of organza and muslin bags on hand for small gifts, especially jewelry. Eccentricities by JVG shows us how to have some fun with plain muslin bags using Freezer Paper Stencils. I love that you can tailor these to any occasion!

I love cream cheese in frosting. I think it gives that extra body and cuts the sweetness just perfectly. And yet, I've never made a Chocolate Cream Cheese Frosting and can't wait to try this recipe from The Kitchen Is My Playground because it looks delish!

OK let's see what everyone's been up to this week!

BFF Open House

Yikes! It's Friday Eve, the first night of Hanukkah, and almost the middle of December already. Blink and a week goes by. I'm loving that for the first time in 39 years, I'm neither working retail nor a corporate job where the words "year end" are a source of anxiety. I've been on a bit of an ornament making binge which you can see here: Paint Poured Hanukkah Ornaments, here: Paw-norments, and here: Pandem-ornaments

You've all been busy elves! Let's take a look at some of the wonderful creations from last week's party!

If you have a bunch of mis-matched, scratched up, or just ornaments you want to change up your look, then this DIY Ornament Upcycle from Niky at House on Silverado is a post you want to check out. GORGEOUS transformation!

Priyam from Simple Joys is back with her incredible paper cutting skills. These Paper Cut Candleholders are "simply" GORGEOUS!

Another creative ornament idea was shared by Hello Sewing. Love these Pyramid Triangle Trees!

Maybe you're empty nesters like us. Or, with this year being "this year" maybe your holiday celebrations call for smaller desserts. Or, maybe you just want to make something special for yourself  (which everyone should do because YOU are worth it). For any and all of these reasons, you need to check out these Tiny Chocolate Cakes from Mantel and Table

Happy Weekend all! Let's see what you've been up to this week!

BFF Open House Happy Thanksgiving

First of all, whether you're celebrating Thanksgiving, Friendsgiving, or flying solo this year, I'm thankful that each week you all choose to spend a little time here sharing your talent and creativity and hope you've had a peaceful day. As we gear up for peak Maker season, I also hope you remember to get some rest and practice self care!

Let's see some ideas from last week's party!

Lisa from Fresh Vintage by Lisa S shared a fabulous way to use gift bags as art. There are so many beautiful ones out these days in every style and color palette!

I think most of us have made paper snowflakes in our lives but Priyam from Simple Joys has taken this idea to an elegant grown up level with these paper medallions. A bunch of these as a garland or hanging from a light fixture would transform a space into a Winter Wonderland! You also need to see her paper Christmas Trees!

I'm old school and still make all my Christmas and Hanukkah cards and always appreciate the beauty of a handmade card, such as this one from Linda at Paper Seedlings. Layered with multiple elements, this is one that the recipient will truly feel special to receive.

Finally, these Rose Frosted cookies from Family Cookie Recipes are so elegant and pretty. I need to up my cookie game!

OK now that you're stuffed, let's see what you've been up to this week!

BFF Open House

Welp! Happy N O V E M B E R all! We are in full production mode from here through Christmas right? And while it seems like 2020 has been one long month, the next two actual months are busy busy busy even though the number of people we host may be reduced. So let's take a look at some great ideas shared at last week's party to get some additional inspiration.

While I don't love pumpkin, I do love PUMPKINS! The kind you make, paint, decorate etc. And Fabric Pumpkins are both a great way to use up scraps and add to your festive decor. Hello Sewing has a fabulous pattern and tutorial to whip up a few new ones.

If you're whipping up say, some Hot Cocoa neighbor gifts, why not throw in a few coasters for the mugs like these No Sew Buffalo Plaid Coasters from Satsuma Designs?

When you're ready to wrap presents, you'll want this fabulous Paper Bow shared by Priyam from Simple Joys

Finally, knowing how many pumpkin lovers there are, these Pumpkin Cheesecake Swirl Muffins from The House on Silverado just HAD to be shared!

Thank you as always to everyone who linked up and now let's see what you've all been up to this week!

BFF Open House Link Party

Happy Friday Eve all ! Welcome back to another party here at The Answer Is Chocolate. Hope everyone's made it through the week uneventfully. Uneventful is my goal these days. I'm not sure if Mr. Chocolate is ready to call for a Halloween intervention yet or not. I haven't started decorating but I have been busy making stuff to decorate with once I start. I'm so happy about how this Witch Hat Wreath turned out!

I think I've solved the issue I was having with last week's embedded link party so we will see! Let's take a look at some of the fabulous ideas from last week's party.

As my son grew older, my Halloween decor got more gothic, elegant, and darker. Anita from Unique Creations from Anita shared this Halloween Goblet that I adore! It's just perfect!

I love a good "green craft" that repurposes things that you have on hand. I have a fun one coming up next week! Naush from Doodlebuddies shared one that is easy and fun: DIY Pumpkins using scrap cardboard, twigs, twine and ribbon. I'll bet every one of us has the supplies!

Priyam from Simple Joys shared this beautiful Fall wreath made from ... Paint Sample Cards! I love how it captures all the stages of leaves that change colors.

Finally, this week's chocolate feature is from Lou Lou Girls and they are as cute as they look delicious. Who can resist Keebler cookies? I know so many of us bake but sometimes you just need a package of cookies from the store and to use them on top of cupcakes? Perfect!

Hope you enjoyed these features! Now, let's see what you've been up to this week!

Happy Friday Eve again friends! Hope you've all had a creative and peaceful week. Still on my Quilling journey ( latest here) and filled w/ a burst of energy starting on some Halloween pieces which I'll show in the future! Looks like everyone's keeping busy as well so here's a look at some of the great ideas from last week's party!

I'm clearly not the only one thinking about Halloween. LOVE these wine glasses from Unique Creations by Anita which are simple yet bold and elegant!

Chas's Crazy Creations also has Halloween on the brain and made these wonderful Bottle Pumpkins that are so cool!

Look at this BEAUTIFUL paper feather from Priyam at Simple Joys! Not cut using a digital cutter or die, but by HAND!

Love Chocolate Chip Cookies? Love Nutella? How about the two combined! That's exactly what The Kitchen Is My Playground did and they look scrumptious!

Now, let's see what all you creative people have been up to this week!
