BFF Open House

So many Happys this week! Happy March! Happy National Craft Month! Happy Spring! Hopefully the worst of Winter is over and Spring is around the corner. Both exciting and hard to believe that we're already into the third month of the year. Even harder is that it's been a full year of COVID but let's not talk about that except to celebrate that hopefully we're starting to see light at the end of the tunnel.

OK you creative peeps! So many wonderful ideas shared last week. Here are a few to get you in full Spring mode!

Maybe you have an old piece of silverplate like this stashed away in a cabinet. I know I'm going to look for one next time I get the chance because I love these non-traditional Easter Baskets from Junk Journal. Perfect for any decor from Farmhouse to Contemporary.

These Paper Butterflies from Priyam at Simple Joys just scream Spring don't they? Perfect for everything from garlands to package toppers.

Linda, from Paper Seedlings made this adorable Name Sign for her grandson Enzo, whose name I love. I think it's such an adorable keepsake to treasure!

Is it a Donut? Is it a Cake? It's a Giant Chocolate Fudge Brownie  Donut Cake! Perfect for St. Patrick's Day, a Spring shower (as in baby or bridal) or anytime! From Cindy's Online Recipe Box

Finally, this one hits home. Trinidadian Pepper Sauce from Kiku Corner. I grew up with this. There was always a jar of this on the table in my family's and extended family's homes. It was often a bit of a trick test when new people said they liked spicy food. We would watch as people took too much (after being warned) and then they proceeded to melt. Literally. This is extra special to me because the recipes my family had were never written down. There were always promises to but the elders were not so good at following through and the last person who could have shared, we've lost to dementia. So this is extra special to me.

Alright! Let's see what you've all been up to this week and as always, thank you to everyone who linked up!

BFF Open House First of 2021

Happy New Year officially since last week's party was on NYE. I hope you had a safe and happy one and that the New Year is treating you kindly so far. I haven't been as creative as I would like...I've spent more time looking at the beautiful artwork at the hospital where I've had to go for a few tests ( not COVID ). Lifelong respiratory issues. Will get back to creating soon!

Let's take a look at some ideas from last week's party to get the New Year off on a fresh creative foot!

I love the simplicity and elegance and message of this beautiful card from Linda at Paper Seedlings

This is the time of year that so many are cleaning out / organizing. This is a great post by The Organized Dream on how to re-purpose some of those things we always seem to have plenty of...Old T-Shirts.

This is the perfect thing for Mr. Chocolate and me: Bourbon Bacon Jam! I love bacon, he loves bourbon, match made in culinary heaven. From Homemade On A Weeknight. YUM!

Finally, as we all strive to eat healthier this time of year, there's no reason you can't do it in a way that's also delicious. Check out this Hight Protein Chocolate Peanut Butter Banana Bread from The House on Silverado

OK let's see what you've all been up to so far in the New Year!

BFF Open House Happy Thanksgiving

First of all, whether you're celebrating Thanksgiving, Friendsgiving, or flying solo this year, I'm thankful that each week you all choose to spend a little time here sharing your talent and creativity and hope you've had a peaceful day. As we gear up for peak Maker season, I also hope you remember to get some rest and practice self care!

Let's see some ideas from last week's party!

Lisa from Fresh Vintage by Lisa S shared a fabulous way to use gift bags as art. There are so many beautiful ones out these days in every style and color palette!

I think most of us have made paper snowflakes in our lives but Priyam from Simple Joys has taken this idea to an elegant grown up level with these paper medallions. A bunch of these as a garland or hanging from a light fixture would transform a space into a Winter Wonderland! You also need to see her paper Christmas Trees!

I'm old school and still make all my Christmas and Hanukkah cards and always appreciate the beauty of a handmade card, such as this one from Linda at Paper Seedlings. Layered with multiple elements, this is one that the recipient will truly feel special to receive.

Finally, these Rose Frosted cookies from Family Cookie Recipes are so elegant and pretty. I need to up my cookie game!

OK now that you're stuffed, let's see what you've been up to this week!

BFF Open House

Happy Friday Eve all. I had to remind myself what day it was since Monday was my last day of work! Still early in the journey of figuring out my next chapter, but so far, so good! Hope you've had a good week, are taking good care , washing your hands and masking up when going out!

Let's take a look at some features from last week's party.

The DIY Dreamer shared this fabulous 3D Barn Quilt made from wood. The color combinations are endless and what a great piece of wall art!  I'm also sharing a pic of the pre-painted but finished version because I love it just in plain wood too!

Artsy Va Va shared another wood project in her gorgeous style, this one patriotic themed in red white and blue:

Both  the name of this card "Something Old, Something New" and the card itself caught my eye given that I've left something old, and figuring out something new, plus the gorgeous coloring of the image Linda from Paper Seedlings did!

Finally, I think this dessert from The Kitchen Is My Playground is aptly named: Coconut Yum Yum looks yummy indeed!

Now, let's see what everyone's been up to this week!

BFF Open House

Happy Friday eve all and I know I am always going on about how fast time goes by but seriously, HOW is it already the end of February?! I need one of these genius tech people to figure out a way to slow time down.

Here are some fun ideas from last week's party!

Don't have a digital cutting machine? Don't need one to make these cute Mickey and Minnie "LOVE" signs. Drugstore Divas has the details!

Seems like there are fewer and fewer things to laugh about anymore so this Ombre card from Paper Seedlings is a great reminder for all of us. Who wouldn't smile getting one of these?

I think DIY Vibes just found a solution to a space I've been trying to decide how to fill. I love this Mason Jar Wall Decor idea which would work for fresh or silk flowers.

Finally, it's that pre-Spring weird weather where it's either cold one day, warm the next or even within the same day. This Salted Caramel Hot Chocolate is just the thing to warm up the cold days and not be too hot on the warm days. From The Kitchen Is My Playground.

Time to see what everyone's been up to this week!

BFF Open House

Happy Friday Eve and Happy October all! I'm still learning the "seasons" here in the desert and we are in what I'm calling "Fall Spring" since it's cooled down but still lovely. Popping in stores is how I'm really reminded what time of year it is.

Let's see some features from last week's party ! I love it when a plan I didn't know I had comes together. The features this week are a Dollar Tree bonanza!

Love this gorgeous pumpkin makeover of a Dollar Tree pumpkin by Kippi At Home. So elegant and can stay up all Fall.

This time of year starts my busiest card making season and like Linda from Paper Seedlings , I am always on the lookout for interesting materials to use on my cards. I literally laughed out loud when I saw this because I bought the same self adhesive rhinestone sheet (ok sheets) she used on her card, also from Dollar Tree!

PINK VELVET pumpkins! Perfect in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness month ( ladies, "check the girls"). Perfect for a new twist on Fall. Perfect because they're no sew. Lisa from Fresh Vintage by Lisa S will show you how to use a Dollar Tree foam pumpkin to make!

Now let's see what all you creative people have been up to this week!

Happy Friday Eve all. Whether you're celebrating Easter, Passover, or nothing this weekend, wishing everyone a wonderful weekend!

Let's take a look at some ideas from last week's party OK?

I love a good pun and living in the desert, I couldn't resist these Succulent Printables from The Organized Dream

I can't wait to make these for next year. Love love love these Paper Eggs from Paper Seedlings. These are so much fun as shown or as a garland.

What's better than a chocolate bunny? One that doesn't melt and you can put in your garden. Check out these cute plant stakes from Fluster Buster

Finally, if you still need a festive dessert for Easter check out this Chocolate Pistachio Cake from Masterpieces of My Life.  So elegant !

OK then, let's see what everyone's been up to this week!
