BFF Open House Link Party #235

Happy Friday Eve all. I guarantee no one is more excited than I am because I get my best Christmas present tomorrow when Grad School Boy comes home!!!  Mr. Chocolate and I are so excited.

The days are ticking away and here are some features from last week's party:

Brenda from Much More Creative shared her gorgeous Christmas chalkboard. Beautiful!

Brenda's chalkboard would go well with this re-purposed sheet music wreath from Lynda Creates

Artsy Va Va is back with a wonderful vintage ornament. These would make special gifts.

This week's chocolate feature is a Red Velvet White Chocolate Trifle from Andrea at Living on Cloud Nine. Isn't this festive and perfect for Christmas?

BFF Open House Link Party # 234 Happy December

Hope everyone had a nice Thanksgiving. To those celebrating Hanukkah this weekend, Happy Hanukkah and have a latke for me! Crunch time is on us so here are some ideas from the week before last's party!

Not only is this a cute project, but the story that  goes with it is hilarious and is something I can imagine a bunch of us crafty peeps hearing from our friends. You need to visit Artsy Va Va to find out the details of both.

Charm Bracelet Diva shared a brilliant idea using Dollar Store Christmas bags to create fantastic wall art! Genius!

These Pom Pom Pinecone ornaments from One Little Project are too cute and a great project to have little elves help with.

Speaking of ornaments, how about this woodsy one from Much More Creative

She also made another version:

Now onto this week's party!

Boo FF Open House Link Party #230

The Answer Is Chocolate

Happy Hallo-weekend! Hopefully you're all stocked up on candy ( and have some left to give out lol) and costumes are close to done. There were some great ideas shared at last week's party. Here are a few.

Let's start with this Cameo Votive from Much More Creative. LOVE the purple and black combo !

I think these clay candleholders ( because Halloween just screams candles doesn't it) would look great mixed in. Visit My Very Educated Mother to see the tutorial.

You don't normally think champagne for Halloween but Yankee Smart Ass has a devilishly delicious cocktail.

And all treat, no tricks here with this week's chocolate feature. Boston Creme Pie Cupcakes from In Our Castle. YUM!

Now on to this week's party !

The Answer Is Chocolate

Crunch time people! One week until Halloween! Did I scare you :)

Here are some features from last week's party...still time!

Adults love Halloween too. Sometimes I think more than the kids do. One Little Project has an AMAZING collection of party ideas for grownups!

Want a more sophisticated pumpkin look for a thrifty price ( I'm NOT looking at you Pottery Barn)? How about combining metallic paint and chalkboard like Engineer Mommy did to transform a Dollar Store pumpkin?

Transform plain muslin bags into fun ( or personalized) treat bags. Loving these from Much More Creative. She made her own but you can pick up plain muslin or canvas bags from lots of places. These have so many possibilities!

This week's chocolate feature is actually not from the party but one I want to try that I found at Kraft. How about a sludgy chocolate martini? The glasses are rimmed with crushed Oreos! Yum.

Now on to this week's party!

The Answer Is Chocolate

Hi all! The countdown to Halloween is upon us....two weeks from Saturday! Here are some ideas from last week's party that are not too late to whip up!

Love these spooky display pedestals from Much More Creative.  You need to see how Brenda pulled a bunch of thrifted pieces together to create these.

Pick up some pumpkins from the Dollar store, add some paint and some googly eyes and you have a Spooky Topiary. Engineer Mommy shows you how.

Linda from Paper Seedlings showed how to make a fun Halloween card using something you'd never guess. Have to visit to find out!

Finally this week's chocolate feature which comes from Anne at Upstate Ramblings. The secret ingredient? Pecan Pie M&Ms! Who knew they even existed?

Now on to this week's party !

BFF Open House #226 Happy October!

The Answer Is Chocolate

Friends,

I debated about going ahead and posting this week's party in light of today's awful events in Oregon. My thoughts are with the families going through the unspeakable.

Since I'd already let those being featured know they were, I'm going to go ahead and post the party but I understand if this week's traffic is light.

Peace. Love. Chocolate.

Here are some features from last week's party!

Let's start with this layered frame chalkboard Scarecrow project from Much More Creative. Brenda shows how she layered and vintaged up the concentric frames. This would make a fun menu board too wouldn't it?

While Fall is full of rich vibrant colors, and I love them, I also love the muted colors found in nature this time of year. Penny from Penny's Vintage Home has some absolutely gorgeous ideas!

Mason Jars are still so popular and Engineer Mommy has a great idea to incorporate them into Fall and Halloween decorating with this Mason Jar Jack O'Lantern.

To finish things off how about some Snickers Cannoli from Woods of Bell Trees? Yes please!

Now on to this week's party.

BFF Open House #214

The Answer Is Chocolate

Hope everyone had a safe and happy Fourth of July weekend! We'll jump right into this week's features!

The "force" was definitely with this feature.  Here at casa Chocolate, we just finished watching the original Star Wars Trilogy because we nerd hard.  I am going to hear about why I didn't make a cake like this. Check out Lou Lou Girls blog for the how to. It's out of this world! (Couldn't help myself!)

Rustic signs are very on trend right now but they can also be pricey. Brenda from Much More Creative shows you how to make your own for less.

The Pin Junkie shared one of my favorite combinations: pretty and practical. Love this easy cord keeper using clothespins and washi tape.

This week's chocolate feature will "bust" your bubble. Check out this Buster Bar Dessert from Grandparent's Plus. YUM!

Now for this week's party !

BFF Open House Link Party #211

The Answer Is Chocolate

Welcome to another party here at The Answer Is Chocolate. Happy Father's Day weekend and I hope everyone celebrating has a wonderful weekend.

Here are some features from last week's party I think you'll enjoy!

Check out this idea from Much More Creative...both the finished project and the technique are wonderful! The idea is perfect for Father's Day and the technique used to create it is limitless in possibilities.

I do not have a green thumb ( Martha and I part ways in the garden) but succulents seem like something even I might not kill. This centerpiece from Upstate Ramblings is perfect for a Summer table.

Mich in LA is a creative genius and upcycler. Not only does she use mystery findings in her gorgeous jewelry creations ( and then makes you guess what they are and they're NEVER what you think) but she's figure out a way to upcycle ..... into jewelry holders. Oh you thought I was going to tell you?

Having just eaten my way through I mean visited Disneyland, I somehow missed dining at The Big Thunder Mountain Ranch Barbecue where they serve this take on S'Mores. Want. Now. Get the inside scoop from The Disney Chef.

OK now onto this week's party!

The Answer Is Chocolate

Happy Friday Eve and Mother's Day Weekend everyone. Hope all the moms and grandmoms out there are spoiled rotten this weekend. Shout out to The Mumster. We'll be celebrating Mother's Day next week in the best way possible: College Boy's graduation. Can't wait!

Here are some ideas from last week's party that you can still whip up for Mother's Day!

This looks good enough to eat right? DON'T! But even if you don't like or drink coffee, this is a delicious and indulgent treat perfect for pampering yourself or to give in a pretty jar as a gift. Whipped Mocha Scrub from Woods of Bell Trees.

If you need some last minute creative Mother's Day gift packaging, you might check out this idea from Much More Creative

If you have a Mom to Be or a new Mom in your life, here is a wonderful and practical gift idea from Logan Can. One of my cousins sent me something similar when College Boy was born and it was the absolute BEST gift I received.

This week's chocolate feature is an adult beverage I've been wanting to try . How about a Chocolate Martini from The View From In Here

Now on to this week's party!

BFF Open House #202 Happy Spring !

The Answer Is Chocolate

Happy Friday Eve all. I have been MIA when it comes to making anything lately....life and some physical limitations....glad it's officially Spring!

Here are some Springy features from last week's party.

Love this freestanding bunny plaque from Much More Creative! Perfect for Spring and Easter!

I really need to find an old rake! I keep seeing creative uses for them like this utensil holder from The Gracious Wife

As boot weather comes to an end, it's time for fun Spring shoes. How about monogramming a pair of canvas flats? Being Bianca has the details!

This week's chocolate feature is all kinds of wonderful to me. Coffee, coconut, chocolate coffee liqueur? Yes please. Visit Confectionalism for the recipe!

Now on to this week's party !
