BFF Open House

Happy Friday Eve all! Hope your week has gone well. Let's see some ideas from last week's party!

You may still be able to find some clearance Christmas ornaments or have some leftover that you didn't use. This idea from Fresh Vintage by Lisa S is a great way to transform them into a great Valentine's wreath.

Flights aren't just for airplanes! Lots of craft distilleries and restaurants offer Flights of everything from ciders to Bourbons and Handmade Weekly has a great way to make your own Flight Board.

Have you ever double thrifted? Cecelia from My Thrift Store Addiction made over a recent thrifty find with a previous thrifty find. That's what I call a double thrift! Love these Toile Covered Hearts and Letters.

Finally, I couldn't resist this fun drink which would be perfect for Valentine's Day but it caught my eye because of the name, especially being of a certain age. It's The Gilligan's Island Cocktail from The Kitchen Is My Playground. Yep, now you're humming the theme song too!

Now let's see what everyone's been up to this week!

Happy Friday Eve and Happy October all! I'm still learning the "seasons" here in the desert and we are in what I'm calling "Fall Spring" since it's cooled down but still lovely. Popping in stores is how I'm really reminded what time of year it is.

Let's see some features from last week's party ! I love it when a plan I didn't know I had comes together. The features this week are a Dollar Tree bonanza!

Love this gorgeous pumpkin makeover of a Dollar Tree pumpkin by Kippi At Home. So elegant and can stay up all Fall.

This time of year starts my busiest card making season and like Linda from Paper Seedlings , I am always on the lookout for interesting materials to use on my cards. I literally laughed out loud when I saw this because I bought the same self adhesive rhinestone sheet (ok sheets) she used on her card, also from Dollar Tree!

PINK VELVET pumpkins! Perfect in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness month ( ladies, "check the girls"). Perfect for a new twist on Fall. Perfect because they're no sew. Lisa from Fresh Vintage by Lisa S will show you how to use a Dollar Tree foam pumpkin to make!

Now let's see what all you creative people have been up to this week!

Happy September and Friday eve all! Yikes. S E P T E M B E R?! How'd that happen? I won't lie, I'm ready for Fall ( or as much Fall as we get here in the desert). I hope that everyone who's been in ( or still in ) the path of Dorian is safe.

Let's get excited for Fall with some great project ideas from last week's party shall we?

Some craft and home dec trends come and go but one thing that will remain timeless is book-page crafting, and this Book Page Pumpkin from The Organized Dream is no exception. I love things like this that can be up from now through Thanksgiving and are beautiful plain or spritzed w/ a little seasonal color.

You don't have to have a Pumpkin Patch to have a Pumpkin Patch sign and you will never guess what these started out as. From Fresh Vintage by Lisa S

How cute is this Acorn Sign from Olivia Ohern, made from supplies from the Dollar Store!

Finally, I couldn't resist this Coffee Chocolate and Peanut Butter Smoothie from Cooking with Ewa. YUM!

BFF Open House

Happy Friday Eve all. Hope everyone's had a great week. We are winding down our Summer visit w/ PhD Man which has been great. We've loved every stage of our son's life ( yes, even the teen years!) but it's so much fun having an adult child who still loves to hang with his parents.

OK let's see some ideas from last week's and the week prior's party!

Summer time is blueberry time. Yes we can now get them all year round but one thing I miss about living in the PNW are all of the blueberry farms and local fruit stands.  3 Winks Design has got you covered w/ lots of blueberry recipes!

Strawberries also scream Summer and what about this No Churn Strawberry Shortcake Ice Cream from Lou Lou Girls?! Yum!

I am super sensitive to commercial cleaners and highly fragranced anything so I'm always happy to try natural ideas like this Rosemary Cleaning Spray from Fresh Vintage by Lisa S

We just past the 5 months until Christmas mark last week and I've already spotted Christmas stuff at Michaels and JoAnn! Never too soon to start planning and these Buffalo Plaid printables from The Organized Dream are an easy way to get started!

OK let's see what everyone's been up to this week!

BFF Open House Link Party

Greetings everyone! It's been a slightly (barely) less chaotic week this week so thanks for understanding about no features last week. Hope everyone's had a good week. Let's see some ideas from last week's party!

With Independence Day next week, here's an easy and cute wreath from Fresh Vintage by Lisa S you can still whip up and add a touch of festive decor.

Love My Little Cottage shared this cute Beach Towel Pillow Cover. Perfect for Summer!

With a new puppy, we've been conscious about ingredients in her food and treats. These Dog Treats from Handmade Weekly sound like ones she will love!

Finally, doesn't this cute Flamingo Printable from The Organized Dream just scream Summer?! Cute.

OK let's see what everyone's been up to this week!

Happy Friday Eve once again . I cannot believe we are staring down the end of May, that it's Memorial Day Weekend already, which means the start of Summer! Before you know it we'll be seeing Halloween stuff. Yikes!

Before that happens, let's take a look at some of the ideas shared at last week's party!

With Memorial Day soon to be followed by Fourth of July , this pillow from Lisa and Fresh Vintage By LisaS is a perfect addition to your decor.

I don't read as much as I used to ( thanks internet) but when I do, I still love holding a physical book in my hands. And that means having a bookmark. I love these from Yarn Scissors Silk which are a great way to use up scraps of ribbon and miscellaneous beads and embellishments.

If you need a dessert for Memorial Day barbecues ( or just because) check out this Bailey's Chocolate Chip Cheesecake from Marilyn's Treats

BFF Open House Link Party

Well this week has flown by. I hope all the Moms had a wonderful Mother's Day! Jumping right into some features from last week's party!

I have always had a thing for Boxwood Wreaths but I don't have a thing for their prices. Or, I do have a thing for their prices which is they're SO EXPENSIVE. So here's a great one from The Organized Dream that won't break the bank!

Keeping with the green ideas, how about these Terrariums fro Fresh Vintage by LisaS?  It's such nice way to bring the outside in.

I've seen this quote a few times and I really like it. I LOVE what Chas from Chas's Crazy Creations did with the supplies she found at Dollar Tree.

What's better than Oreos or cake except putting them together?! Check out this recipe from Lou Lou Girls. Yum!

OK let's see what everyone's been up to this week!

Happy Friday Eve and Happy Spring All! Hope you've all had a great week.  A little calmer on this end so thanks for understanding no features last week.

Starting off with these sweet Watercolor Carrots from Mamas Brush. This is more as a reminder than a project tutorial but a reminder of what? A reminder that our creativity doesn't have to be perfect ( whatever that really means) in order for us to be happy with it or for it to be considered art. There's a great reminder in the post:

Are they perfect? No. But they are fun. And that’s my only requirement for being happy with something I’ve created. ðŸ™‚
(As an aside: I never pursued my love of drawing when I was younger because I always though everything had to be perfect… what a game changer this new way of thinking is!)

I think this is a reminder we can all use. I know I can!

I  know what you're thinking: "That bunny's going to melt out there in the grass". HA HA Lisa, from Fresh Vintage by Lisa S fooled us. It's a Faux Chocolate Bunny she's painted to look like a real one.

Speaking of chocolate ( hello, you know where you are lol ) these Mint Oreo Cookie Balls would be a nice addition to a special Easter Basket or dessert table. From Butter With A Side of Bread:

BFF Open House Link Party

Hi all and welcome back to another party here at The Answer Is Chocolate! Hope everyone's had a wonderful week!  I'm going to get right to the party because time is short ( like me!)

I love tags. It's a great way for me to use up scraps and other materials. I also love re-purposing things because there's SO much packaging and waste. So here's a project where the two come together. Faux Debossed Gift Tags from Suzer Space

How pretty is  this rustic horseshoe and succulent Wall Art from Fresh Vintage by Lisa S? You could put one up for St. Patrick's Day or just because.

I'm really going to have to get one of the Dremel engravers like the one Chas from Chas's Crazy Creations used to make this votive holder. Possibilities are endless and love how this one turned out.

Finally, here's a creative twist on Rice Krispies Treats: Rice Krispies Mountains from Mamas Brush

Now, let's see what everyone's been up to this week!
