Silver and White Multi-Strand Necklaces

Blue Moon Silver and White

Global Nomad

I sent these back to school with College boy as gifts from me to two of his friends who like my stuff and have asked me about an Etsy shop ( someday!).

For both of these I used supplies from my Blue Moon Beads design team stash, along with some other beads I had on hand. Long before I was on the BMB design team, I was a huge fan and regularly picked up their products on my forays into the craft stores.

Blue Moon Beads Chain

I laid out the basics I would use. Silver and pearl chain, crystal cup chain, findings,

Blue Moon Butterflies and Insects

Global Nomad Pendant

I used the oval shaped jump rings from the Butterflies and Insects pack since they went with the elongated shape of this pendant piece. The pendant piece is from a BDT ( before design team) purchase. Using more oval jump rings, I attached wire wrapped beads to the pendant piece ( opalite and crystal)

I combined a couple types of chain and then added the pendant using more jump rings.

Blue Moon Silver and White

For the second necklace, I used a pre-strung BMB silver and pearl chain, antique silver chain and a pearlescent glass necklace, all joined together with a jump ring and again using the Butterflies and Insects jump rings, connected a pendant I made from opalite, crystal and a Blue Moon Beads cup chain pendant.

I figured this silver and white color combo was one that could be worn with anything.

Gardening Lover's Necklace

Bead Landing Boot Charm

I’m catching up with a couple of girlfriends later this week and always like to bring them a little something. One is an avid gardener so I knew when I saw this little green garden boot charm on sale at Michaels I had to get it for her. There was also a beaded chain in the same section so I picked that up too.  Both are by Bead Landing from their “Derby Chic” collection.

I had some complementary colored seed beeds in my Blue Moon Beads design team supplies, along with a very cool silver bail and bell charm.

I attached the boot and the charm to the bail along with some silver charms I had in my stash.
Garden Boot Charm Necklace
I took the beaded chain apart at the middle , ran a small length of plain chain through the bail and then attached the beaded chain to either side.

Using the seed beads, I strung two sections and attached oval jump rings to each end. Attached these to more plain chain .

I don't think she'll be wearing it while she gardens but I hope it captures her passion.

Ten Minute Black and Gold Necklace

It's not as if I needed another necklace but what's that got to do with anything? I decided at the last minute before we were going to see a movie yesterday that I wanted a new necklace to wear.  I did this so fast, I barely took any pics. I remembered this black and gold chain that was in my Blue Moon Beads design team stash and decided to make it the focal of my necklace.

Grabbed some gold chain, antique silver chain,  and a multi-strand waxed linen necklace, all by BMB. I took the clasp ends off of the waxed linen necklace, measured the three chains the same length, and attached them to one end of the waxed linen necklace. Attached one half of a  hammered gold toggle clasp to the other end of the waxed linen necklace and then the chains to the bar end of the clasp and done.

The Unintended Urban Warrior Trilogy: Chain and Pearl Bracelet

Urban Pearls

OK so what became part deux of my metal and pearl “industrial chic” Urban Warrior necklace has now become a trilogy! Part 1 is here. Part deux is here .

I still had a lot of pierced ear wires left over so I made more eye pins out of them, strung pearls on them, and made double loop bead sections.

Double Loop Pearls

I connected these together with jump rings, making a bracelet out of them and attaching to a Blue Moon Beads hammered metal toggle clasp.

Pearl And Jump Ring Chain

I could have stopped there but I like chunky funky stuff so I added two strands of Blue Moon Bead chain and twisted them around the pearl strand. I had one metal pendant left from the previous two projects so I mad a focal from it and some of the pearl “drops”.

Blue Moon Bead Chain

Mixed Metal Urban Warrior

Attached this to the middle of the chain and then randomly attached some of the pearl loops to the chain with more jump rings  to fill out the bracelet.

Blue Moon Beads Urban Warrior Chain and Pearl Necklace

Urban Warrior Pearls and Pendants

Blue Moon Beads has a line that was made just for me! It’s called “Urban Warrior” and while I’m a suburbanite and definitely not warrior like, the pieces this line includes are 100% me. Bold metals in antiqued gold, silver, and copper. Chunky chains and funky elements. Very Industrial Chic. Just stole my heart. I’m sharing my latest design team project made using this line.

Blue Moon Antique Gold

These are some of the supplies I used. You can find the Urban Warrior line and other BMB supplies at JoAnn's.

I don’t have pierced ears but when I looked at the ear wires I decided I could easily straighten them out and use them as eye pins. So I did. As much in love as I am with the metal pieces, I used light bronze glass pearls to contrast the industrial look with a completely opposite effect.

I used my straightened ear wires turned eye pins to string the pearls, and attached gold and metal pendant pieces  to heavy gold chain with silver jump rings.

Urban Warrior Metal Teardrop

I attached the chain to a multi strand waxed cotton thread necklace with large connector rings.
