Whew! Another week basically on the books. I hope everyone who celebrated had a Happy Easter! April is cruising right along. With all of the chaos and stress in the world, it's great to have a creative outlet. I keep seeing articles about what we Makers have always known...picking up an analog hobby (although yes, we have lots of digital/electronic tools too) is a way to refocus ourselves and reduce stress. So knitting, crocheting, sewing, papercrafts, etc.? We were ahead of the curve, right?

Petticoat Junktion transformed a "seen better days" sale find into this beautiful Side Table, and I definitely vote for the "after" when it comes to the "before and after" which you can see in the post.

ReplyDeleteCarol, thanks so much for the link-up! I think the return to "hand" crafting is wonderful on many fronts. These crafts are often more affordable and offer tactile stimulation which we all need for stress relief and control. Have a great week ahead.

I also agree about crafting, and besides baking, my crafting revolves around art (I was an art major) ~ so I "decorate" my biscotti & cake balls ~ but also go through phases of different types of painting. This week I posted a swan basket that I tole painted years ago, which I had filled with rolled towels in a guest bathroom. I do try to stick in some craft or another, along with all the baked goods! Happy Spring! (I had a cleaning lady who would paint rocks and leave them for me! She'd also make animals with towels and put them in the bathroom)
